Taylor Swift celebrates BFF Selena Gomez's 33rd birthday at star-studded ‘70s disco-themed bash

Yahoo2 days ago
Taylor Swift attended her BFF Selena Gomez's 33rd birthday party alongside the latter's fiancé, Benny Blanco, and other close pals.
The 'Cruel Summer' songstress was seen posing next to the 'Only Murders in the Building' star in a pool of balloons in a photo dump shared via Instagram Sunday from the '70s disco-themed bash.
Swift looked chic, wearing a black long-sleeved dress with her iconic red lip, while Gomez sported a sequined jumpsuit and fur jacket.
Gomez, 32, was also seen smiling with a group of friends, including Sofia Carson, on a rooftop and sharing a passionate smooch with Blanco, 37, during the soirée.
'As I prepare to celebrate my 33rd birthday, I can't help but reflect on the incredible journey that has brought me here,' the 'Calm Down' singer captioned the carousel.
'This past year has truly been the most beautiful year of my life, and I owe so much of that to all of you.'
'Thank you for your unwavering love and kindness. Whether you cheered me on from the sidelines, shared in my highs and lows, or simply offered a listening ear, you have made this year unforgettable,' the 'Emilia Pérez' actress continued.
'I am extremely humbled and insanely appreciative of all your love.'
Gomez — who turns 33 on Tuesday — shared that she was 'filled with excitement and hope for what's to come,' adding, 'I look forward to sharing more moments with all of you, creating new memories, and continuing this beautiful journey together. MADLY LOVE YOU ALL
.'
The birthday festivities came days after a source said that Swift, 35, would be in attendance to celebrate Gomez and Blanco's nuptials in Montecito, Calif., this September.
'Selena and Benny's wedding is going to be a two-day event,' an insider told the Daily Mail last week.
'Although it's for friends and family only, many on the friends list are huge celebrities, including Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Selena's co-stars from 'Only Murders in the Building' and music superstars who are Benny's friends and some he's also worked with.'
Another insider claimed to the outlet that Gomez tried to 'accommodate' Swift's busy schedule with the wedding date.
'Selena is not having her wedding to accommodate Taylor, but she wants her to attend and she would love for her to be able to go with Travis,' the source said.
Gomez and Blanco got engaged in December 2024 after dating for over a year.

Pete Crow-Armstrong makes young Cubs fan's hair dreams come true following lemonade stand visit

Young Chicago Cubs fan Madden and his friends opened up a lemonade stand in Chicago's Wrigleyville for a simple, creative reason related to Pete Crow-Armstrong. Madden wanted to turn his hair into what the young Cubs star had during spring training: bleach blond with blue stars all over. The youngster already had the blond part down, he and his friends just needed to raise money to pay for the stars addition. Little did the kids know that Justin Turner's wife, Kourtney, had come across their venture and got her husband to encourage Crow-Armstrong to make an appearance. [Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2025 NFL season] Crow-Armstrong did stop by this week, as reported by Marquee Network's Taylor McGregor, and not only signed some autographs but also gave Madden enough money to finish the hair job. Armstrong said during spring training when he already had bleach blond hair that his girlfriend Hailey's sister is a tattoo artist and he was convinced to have her add the stars to his head. He's since let his ginger locks grow out, but the blond look really made an impression on Madden. Crow-Armstrong has broken out on and off the field in Chicago this season. A first-time All-Star last week, the 23-year-old is hitting .270 with 26 home runs, 73 RBI and 28 stolen bases through 99 games. If Crow-Armstrong keeps this up, the bleach blond with stars hairdo might become a sensation in Chicago and the Cubs outfielder might have to bring it back for the rest of the season.

Marvel's WONDER MAN Brings Back a Surprising SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Character — GeekTyrant

Marvel's upcoming Disney+ series Wonder Man is digging into the MCU's past, bringing back a character many fans didn't expect to see again. According to Deadline, Arian Moayed will reprise his role as Agent Cleary, a high-ranking official in the Department of Damage Control. Cleary first showed up in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home , where he grilled Peter Parker after Spider-Man's identity was exposed. He later returned in 2022's Ms. Marvel , hunting down Kamala Khan and reminding us that Damage Control was being positioned as a major force in the MCU. Now, he's back for Wonder Man , and fans are thrilled that Marvel isn't leaving those threads hanging. 'Cool, the MCU needs characters like this who can show up in multiple projects without stealing [the] spotlight,' one Reddit user wrote. Another added, 'Nice to see characters showing up in multiple projects.' Some fans even pointed out how overdue this feels: 'About time. Phase 4 set up Damage Control to be a major player and then just disappeared for all of Phase 5.' Others are simply excited to see Moayed again: 'Yess, I love Arian! Always happy to see his character pop up again (same with Jimmy Woo).' Another chimed in, 'Hell yeah!! Loved him!' Wonder Man stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, a superpowered actor and stuntman turned hero. Ben Kingsley will also return as Trevor Slattery, the washed-up actor from Iron Man 3 and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings . Behind the camera, Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton and Hawkeye writer Andrew Guest are steering the show. Wonder Man consists of eight episodes and Marvel's Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation, Brad Winderbaum called it 'one of my favorite things ever. I think it's the best show no one's ever seen, and I'm very excited to see the audience reaction to it. I think it's a love letter to what we do as filmmakers. It's a love letter to acting as a profession, and it's a very sincere, beautiful show."
