Attending the meeting were the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Transportation and Telecommunications, Cabinet Affairs, Education, Industry and Commerce, along with the Minister of Legal Affairs (who is also Acting Minister of Labour), the CEO of the Information & eGovernment Authority, and the Coordinator from the Prime Minister's Office.
At the start of the session, the Interior Minister praised Bahrain's remarkable progress in digital transformation and efficient e-government services, crediting the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for driving innovation through technology. He also acknowledged the strong support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in advancing government modernization and improving public services.
'These efforts have positioned Bahrain among the world's leading countries in the United Nations e-Government Development Index,' he noted.

Access restrictions and media limitations in Gaza make independent verification of these reports difficult. On Saturday, Israel signaled it might urge civilians to leave Gaza City ahead of a new offensive. The defence ministry said supplies of tents and shelter equipment would resume for civilians moving to southern Gaza. Hamas condemned the announcement as part of a "brutal assault to occupy Gaza City." Bassal reported six people killed by Israeli gunfire near an aid distribution point in southern Gaza, and another killed near an aid site in central Gaza. The current conflict began with Hamas's attack on Israel in October 2023, which killed 1,219 people, mostly civilians. Since then, Israel's offensive has killed more than 61,897 Palestinians, most of them civilians, according to Gaza's health ministry, figures considered reliable by the United Nations.

24 new eServices added to MyGov mobile app in second phase
Twenty-four new government services have been added to the MyGov mobile app, which is available through the eGovernment Apps Store, This was annnounced by His Excellency Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive. The services cover a range of sectors, including the Interior, Civil Defense, Criminal Investigation, Traffic, Transportation and Telecommunications, and Electricity and Water. The ID card issuance service has also been enhanced with the introduction of an organ donation icon option, as well as expanded support features such as payment notifications and emergency alerts. In line with government directives and with the follow-up of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology (MCICT), iGA's Chief Executive said that the work is continues to expand the digital services available on MyGov app, aiming towards the apps strategy merger direction into three primary platforms: 'MyGov' for individuals, 'AlTajir' for businesses and investors, and 'Visit Bahrain' for visitors. Postal services The Government Directory & Bahrain post app will soon be discontinued after merging its postal services. Al Qaed also highlighted that Electricity & Water app services are integrated with MyGov app, while eTraffic app services currently in progress, which both apps will be discontinued, along with the Student Exam Results app, with services offered via alternative channels. He said that these changes reinforce MyGov app as the unified national platform facilitating convenient access to digital government services.

27 Western Nations Urge Israel to Act Immediately to End 'Unimaginable Famine' in Gaza
A total of 27 Western countries, including most EU member states, have called on Israel to take immediate action to halt what they described as an 'unimaginable famine' unfolding in the Gaza Strip. In a joint statement issued at the United Nations headquarters in New York, the countries held Israeli authorities legally and morally responsible for the severe deterioration of the humanitarian situation. The strongly worded declaration signed by the foreign ministers of the participating nations, along with the EU's foreign policy chief and two other European Commission members urged Israel to take urgent steps to end 'the famine unfolding before our eyes' in Gaza, calling for the opening of all crossings and routes to ensure the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid. 'The famine is unfolding before our eyes. Urgent action is needed to end the hunger,' the statement read, adding: 'We call on the Government of Israel to allow all international aid shipments for NGOs to enter and to refrain from obstructing the work of key humanitarian actors.' The signatories stressed the need to use all crossings and routes to deliver food, nutritional supplies, shelter, fuel, clean water, medicines, and medical equipment to the besieged enclave. They warned that ongoing restrictions were worsening the crisis and emphasized the urgent need to dramatically increase the scale and scope of humanitarian aid. The statement was signed by the foreign ministers of Australia, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, in addition to EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas and two other European Commission members. Founded in 2007 by former South African President Nelson Mandela, the independent organization released a statement following a visit by its delegation to border crossings with Egypt: 'We express our shock and outrage at Israel's deliberate obstruction of life-saving humanitarian aid into Gaza,' it said. 'What we saw and heard confirms our personal conviction that Gaza is facing not only an imminent man-made famine but also an imminent genocide.' Former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark called on Israel to open the Rafah crossing between Egypt and Gaza for aid deliveries following her visit to the site. She was joined by former Irish President and former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Mary Robinson, who said global leaders 'have the power and the legal duty to impose measures to pressure this Israeli government to stop its heinous crimes.'
