Couple's loud quarrel at HDB block: She throws his pillow and bolster down, tells him to 'get lost from my sight'
A couple's quarrel could be heard throughout a Housing Board estate at night.
Stompers Wei Chen and Kyzo alerted Stomp to a video of the incident posted online on May 18.
The video shows the man standing at the foot of an HDB block arguing with a woman on a stairwell landing of the block.
Kyzo said: "There was lots of shouting and things escalated to the point where the wife kicked the husband out of the house with just a pillow and bolster for the night."
It appeared that the woman was angry with her partner, who was called "baby" by his female colleague.
She screamed from above: "Office people call each other baby? What's that?"
The man asked her to lower her volume, which made her angrier.
"Shhh what? You scared people hear? I want to let everyone hear," she yelled. "You betray me."
Defending himself, the man said: "She calls everyone in the office baby."
But the woman did not believe it and replied: "She calls everyone baby? You sure?"
He pleaded for her to stop.
She continued: "You don't tell me what to do. I tell you what to do," she shouted, before throwing a bolster and pillow to the ground floor.
"Go, go get lost from my sight. I don't want to see you tonight."
The man remarked, "Siao char bor," eliciting more screaming from the woman.
He picked up the pillow and bolster, and placed them in the back of a GetGo car parked nearby as the video ends.
One Instagram user commented: "Perfect GetGo ad, to be honest."
But another sympathised with the woman: "It looks and sounds funny… Until it happens to you… Betrayal is such a painful thing."
Just a few days earlier, another couple got into an argument at 3am in Sengkang.

Who Is Anthony Thomas Reyes? Lovestruck Man Arrested After Storming Trump's Mar-a-Lago Resort with Indecent Proposal to Marry Kai Trump

A man climbed over the walls of former President Donald Trump's private Mar-a-Lago estate and made an indecent proposal to marry Trump's teenage granddaughter. Anthony Thomas Reyes, 23, told authorities that he wanted to "spread the gospel" after being nabbed by the Secret Service just after midnight on Tuesday. The infatuated gatecrasher was arrested by Palm Beach Police and charged with trespassing. President Trump was in Washington, D.C., at the time of the incident, while his granddaughter, Kai Trump, was vacationing in the Bahamas. Reyes told authorities he had scaled the high wall surrounding Mar-a-Lago in hopes of finding Kai, who had just celebrated her 18th birthday the previous month. Lovestruck Gatecrasher Lands in Jail Kai, a teenage golfer, gained attention during Trump's campaign appearances and built a following online by sharing personal moments with her grandfather. She currently attends school in North Palm Beach and is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr., Trump's eldest son. Reyes also claimed he was looking for Trump to discuss "the gospel." This was not the first time the 23-year-old man from Texas had tried to enter the Mar-a-Lago property. Reyes had previously received a strict warning for trespassing on December 31, 2024, when Trump was at Mar-a-Lago. He is currently being held in the Palm Beach County Jail with bond set at $50,000 and has entered a not guilty plea. Since Trump's return to the White House, Kai has cut down on her social media presence. However, just three days ago, she posted a YouTube video highlighting a Bahamas getaway with her best friend and family. On Tuesday, she promoted the video on Instagram, ending a 10-day break from social media. In the video, Kai showcased her workout routine, visited a hair salon, and captured fun, heartfelt moments with her best friend during their trip. They shared meals with her mother, Vanessa Trump, and relaxed poolside with virgin strawberry daiquiris, enjoying the summer sunshine. Kai, the New Mar-a-Lago Star Staying true to her passion, Kai—an avid golfer who has committed to attending the University of Miami this fall—also squeezed in a visit to the golf course during the vacation. "I'm gonna hit some balls because why not," she said in the vlog. "Worked on my swing a little. It's beautiful. I'm not sure if you guys have ever been to Albany before... I love it." Her grandfather, who owns 18 golf courses worldwide—including 11 in the United States—also shares a deep love for the sport and often plays at his Florida clubs. Trump recently appeared in one of Kai's vlogs to talk about her future prospects of becoming a professional golfer. "I just wanna say that I play a lot of golf with Kai and she's a fantastic golfer," Trump said on camera. "She's a scratch player, which is amazing. I think some day in the not-too-distant future she's gonna be much better than scratch." However, the president made it clear that if they ever faced off on the golf course, there would be only one winner. "She's doing really well and she wins a lot of matches," he added. "And some day she'll be able to beat her grandfather, but I'm not sure when that'll be... it might be a long time!" Trump was seen laughing as his granddaughter playfully dared him to a one-on-one golf match. Kai's posts frequently receive an outpouring of support for her grandfather, with fans urging her to "relay messages" to the president and sharing their admiration.

Around 100 dead cats found at Japan woman's home

The group, Animal Assist Senju, apologised on social media, posting pictures of the trash-strewn house it said 'was overflowing with faeces and urine'. PHOTOS: SCREENGRABS FROM ANIMAL_ASSIST_SENJU/INSTAGRAM TOKYO - Around 100 dead cats were discovered at the squalid home of a woman in south-west Japan who belonged to an animal welfare group, a local official said on June 4. The group, Animal Assist Senju, apologised on social media, posting pictures of the trash-strewn house it said 'was overflowing with faeces and urine'. The residence belonged to one of its staff, who the group said was found to have gone rogue and taken in many cats without consulting the organisation. One cat was found 'unrecognisable' with 'its skin partly peeled off and paws covered in faeces and urine', the group said in an Instagram post at the weekend. Kumamoto City's animal protection centre told AFP on June 4 that the dead felines were initially estimated to total 'around 100'. Media reports however said the number is now thought to be higher. Animal Assist Senju, based in the region of Kumamoto, says it rescues cats and dogs from animal shelters and transfers them to new homes. 'All the members of our group take what happened very seriously,' it said in another Instagram post. 'We can only imagine what agonising pain the cats went through before dying.' The woman is no longer allowed to take in cats, it said. City officials and animal rights volunteers inspected the house twice after they were notified last week of a feline death, before launching a full search and rescue mission. It is not clear if legal action has been taken against the woman. Twelve live cats have been saved from the home so far, according to city animal protection official Tsutomu Takimoto. 'I'm hungry. Cannot meh?!' — Stranger who snatched toast and walked away from diner at Toast Box asks

Photo: Toast Box FB SINGAPORE: A diner patronising the Toast Box outlet at Jurong Point was left speechless after a stranger snatched food off her tray. The diner told citizen journalism portal Stomp that the incident took place on Sunday afternoon (June 1), around 12:30 p.m. She said, 'This auntie sat at the table next to my family for quite some time. She didn't order anything to eat or drink. Then suddenly, she stood up, stretched her hands across to our table, snatched a piece of our peanut toast, ate it, and walked away!' The diner added, 'We were too shocked to react.' Interestingly, the family bumped into the same woman at the same outlet looking for another target, around the same time the next day. The diner decided to confront the woman and demanded an explanation from the stranger for her behaviour. Instead of apologising or expressing remorse, the woman allegedly shouted, 'I am hungry and I want to eat! Cannot meh?!' The diner urged Singaporeans to beware of such individuals. She added, 'Her hands are so fast! … much faster than crows snatching food!'
