Head Constable Narasimharaju, posted at Madiwala police station in Bengaluru, who staged a solo protest against the suspension of the city's Police Commissioner and other officials, is now worried about possible action the government may take against him.During a telephonic interview with ANI, he said, "This was not something we expected after the stampede incident, which took place near Chinnaswamy stadium in which 11 people died and many were injured, which made me emotional, and that is why I staged to protest against the decision made by the Karnataka Government. Whenever this kind of incident happens, there is an option to transfer the officers, but suspending officers, including the police commissioner of Bengaluru, in fact brings the morale of the department and the employees down."Narasimharaju, who holds a Master's degree (MA, B.Ed) and is from Pavagada, lives with his mother and family. He is now worried about the action the police department or government might take against him.He told ANI, "I have only one last option, which is to fight this legally. I am waiting for a call from my DCP madam. Once she calls, I will go and explain my feelings to her. I'm hopeful she will respond positively. I've already received a notice and explained my emotions to my senior officers. Yes, I was emotional, and I admit I shouldn't have protested in uniform, as it goes against protocol. But I got emotional because after working long hours without sleep, seeing someone get suspended affects the morale of others in the department." Siddaramiah on Sunday said that the concerned police officers have been suspended as arrangements were not adequate at Chinnaswamy Stadium. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (Secular) (JDS) are making politically motivated allegations in the stampede case that took place during the RCB celebrations at Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium."The BJP is making politically motivated allegations. Based on the information that appears to be available regarding the incident, the government has taken action against the police concerned," CM Siddaramaiah said.He said that a judicial inquiry has been ordered as per the demand of the BJP and JDS. Similarly, action has been taken against the police. He said that the government personnel and administration departments had been given conditional permission to organise the programme.Following the Bengaluru stampede that claimed 11 lives and left many injured, the Karnataka Government on June 5 suspended top police officials, including Bengaluru commissioner B Dayananda and formed a one-man commission under a retired High Court Judge to probe the incident.

'Ye bilkul hi jhutha aarop hai..': Manish Gupta denies all allegations agaisnt him for allegedly stabbing driver
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 9 (ANI): Director Manish Gupta, who has been booked by Versova police for allegedly attacking his driver, has denied all the allegations and said that these are all "false accusations". Speaking to ANI, he said, "Ye bilkul hi jhutha aarop hai (This is a false accusation)... a hundred per cent false accusation. There was no fight between that driver and me, Rajebul Lashkar. Usne police mein jaaake jhuthi statement di hai (He went to the police and gave a false statement). And on that basis, he filed an FIR. He did this to put my reputation at risk. So that I come under pressure and he can extort more money from me." He also opened up on the accusation that he has not paid salary to his driver timely, "This accusation is 100% false. I will show you my bank statement for the past 3 years. You will see that every month I have paid him his entire salary on time. So, the first sentence in the FIR is false that I never paid him salary on time, that's why he fought with me. His first sentence is false. The first false sentence in his statement, in the FIR, is the proof that his entire allegation is false. It is proof that he is lying. You can see my bank statement. ...There is a detail of his salary every month for the past 3 years." Gupta also shared that he has given his driver regular salary so there was no argument or fight between them, "As I said, he has received his salary on time every month for the past 3 years. You can see my bank statement. The driver's name, amount, and date are clearly shown in this. He has received his salary on time every month for the past 3 years. On top of that, he has been given an advance. I have given him more advance than salary many times. The person who has given him a salary on time every month for the past 3 years, he(driver) has given a statement to file an FIR that he has never paid his salary on time. That's why he has fought with me. This is a complete lie. When this man starts his statement with a false sentence, you can understand that the whole statement is a lie. He has a malafide intention. Uska motive hai paise is an extortion racket and nothing else. So he made this salary just a topic. He wanted to make a topic and show that there was a fight. That's why he has raised this issue of salary. " The director also shared that he has been contributing to the police investigation. "I have submitted my statement to the police. I will show you a copy of the statement. I have given a statement. They stamped it, signed it and gave me an acknowledgement. And in the statement, I said everything... I told them that this man has given you a false statement. And on the basis of a false statement, he has filed an FIR. That is, it is 100% a lie." "There will be no compromise at all. The trend of extortion racket is very dangerous for our country, and especially for Bollywood personalities. Because we are a soft target, we have to stop these we are taking legal action. And we are initiating criminal proceedings against this I want to add that he has a criminal background..," he added. Gupta has been booked under sections 118(2), 115(2) and 352 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. (ANI)

11 Years of PM Modi: JP Nadda lists key milestones — Economic growth, poor welfare, J&K focus and more
As PM Narendra Modi completes 11 years as the Prime Minister of India, Union Minister and BJP President JP Nadda, in a press conference on Monday, June 9, highlighted the key achievements of the government since 2014. Here are 10 key points from Nadda's speech — The Union appreciated PM Modi's efforts towards the growth of the Indian economy. 'In the last 11 years, we jumped to the fifth position from the 10th position in the world's economies. The new data from the IMF will bring us to the fourth position. We have been the fastest economy in the world,' he said. Elaborating on the welfare efforts for the marginalised community, Nadda said, 'Over the past decade, we have worked with deep concern for all sections of society, including SC, ST, and OBC communities. At the same time, we have actively promoted the vision of Women-Led Development.' He further listed key achievements and said, 'From empowering Lakhpati Didis to promoting Self-Help Groups (SHGs), the Modi government has made dedicated efforts to bring women, as well as SC, ST, and OBC communities, into the mainstream of national development. We've increased maternity leave from 12 to 26 weeks with salary and promoted women-led development, with women excelling in various fields, including space exploration (Chandrayaan)." The Modi government has taken measures to eradicate poverty in the country, according to Nadda. 'We have not come with the slogan of eradicating poverty, we have shown by doing welfare for the poor. When I talk about accountable government, we talk about gareeb kalyan.. The statistics are proof of this...25 crore people in the country have come out of the poverty line. In this way, extreme poverty has been reduced by 80 per cent,' the Union Minister said. Speaking on bringing change to Indian politics, Nadda said, "PM Modi has changed the country's politics and political culture. The country was appeased 11 years ago. Earlier, saving a political chair by dividing society was the norm. When I say he changed the political culture of the country, it means politics of performance, responsive and responsible government, along with politics of report card, which means we are accountable. The work we are doing is in front of the public." Nada stated that the Modi administration demonstrated effective and decisive leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. He emphasised that India conducted the largest vaccination campaign globally, administering 220 crore free double-dose vaccines, which cannot be compared with other countries. "We've demonstrated proactive governance through various operations like Operation Devi Shakti, Operation Rahat, Operation Maitri, Operation Vaccine Maitri, and Operation Ganga. Our COVID-19 management was exemplary, with the world's largest and fastest vaccination way India responded to COVID-19, no other country could do it. In India, India gave 220 crores free double-dose of vaccines," Nadda said. Giving credit to PM Modi for the completion of the recently inaugurated Chenab Bridge, Nadda said, "In 1995, during the time of Narasimha Rao ji, the foundation stone of Chenab Bridge was laid, Atal ji declared it a project of national importance and PM Modi completed this project and dedicated it to the nation on 6 June 2025." Taking a dig at the previous government, Nadda said, "Before 2014, the government was full of corruption and a prevailing sense of negativity. But after 2014, under the leadership of PM Modi, that sentiment changed. The negativism changed to optimism. Now people proudly say — Modi hai to mumkin hai. ' Speaking on the goal of Viksit Bharat, Nadda elaborated how the PM government has ensured development by following the best practices. "This is why our every policy was focused on perform, transform, reform..." the Union Minister said. 'In the last 11 years, we have moved forward with the mantra of 'Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,' he added. On key initiatives taken by the PM Modi-led government to cater to the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP president highlighted, 'abrogation of Article 370, the country had accepted that this was not possible, but the Modi government removed Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.' He further added, 'the turnout in the Lok Sabha was 58.46 per cent, while the turnout in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections was 63 per cent. This change has come due to the bold decision of the Modi government.' Listing other key initiatives introduced during the last 11 years, Nadda states, 'the abolition of Triple Talaq was a tragedy for women and humanity. Even Muslim countries didn't have the system of Triple Talaq. Similarly, he noted other key initiatives introduced by the Modi government in the last 11 years, including the Waqf Amendment Act, the Citizenship Amendment Act, demonetization, and women's reservation.
