Annual Bellevue community drop-off set for the weekend
People bring things they've been wanting to get rid of to the drop-off location. Some of them are thrown away; some repurposed.
It's happening this Saturday, June 7, from 8 a.m. to noon at Bellevue Middle School.

Metro Councilmember Sheri Weiner is heading the event. She told News 2 there's always a big turnout and long lines out, so those wanting to participate should plan to come early.
A few of the acceptable items include TVs, furniture, bikes, stoves, sinks, and mattresses.
Items not on the list will not be taken, including carpets, air conditioners, batteries, roofing, construction debris, lumber, landscape, tree refuse, refrigerators, tires and paint.

The things that are disposable will be disposed of; all electronics are recycled; and papers that people wish to be shredded are shredded on-site.
'Bellevue is lucky to have such engaged and dedicated nonprofit and civic organizations that collaborate year in and year out to make this happen,' Weiner told News 2.
One important note, though, is the event is not open to the full public: it is limited to Bellevue residents only. Volunteers will be checking at the door to ensure those attending actually live in Bellevue.

Post Malone will unveil his own fashion brand next month
Post Malone is launching his own fashion brand. The Rockstar hitmaker - whose real name is Austin Richard Post - will kickstart his move into the fashion world by unveiling his Austin Post company with a Paris runway show on September 1. As reported by WWD, invitations to the event have teased a sunset timing for its Season One, but further details are being kept under wraps. Despite only just plotting his own label, he's worked with the likes of Crocs and Ugg in the past. Just this week, he unveiled a partnership with SKIMS. He said in a statement: 'I'm all about comfort and feeling good in what I wear. 'These pieces are fun, the camo especially stands out to me. I've always been into camo.' In a professional Western-themed photoshoot to promote the brand's menswear collections, Malone can be seen in a range of comfort-focused outfits debuting SKIMS' Heavyweight Fleece fabric. Founder and CCO Kim Kardashian described the partnership between SKIMS and Malone as a "perfect fit". She added: 'Post Malone truly embodies the spirit of the SKIMS Man with his effortless energy and style, which really shine through in this campaign. "This launch is a big moment for us, not only because we're expanding our menswear line, but also because we're introducing our new heavyweight fleece, which takes comfort and quality to the next level. "Having Post lead the campaign just felt like the perfect fit.' Including underwear, t-shirts and fleece separates, the new collection - which is now available to purchase - features a limited edition range of Realtree camouflage-printed styles. Post told GQ magazine: "Oh, I suppose I was a SKIMS man. In Utah, it gets very, very, very cold. And some way or another I found this comforter robe. "Whenever I went out to smoke at night, I would always put this on, and it was probably the most comfortable thing I've ever worn in my entire life. "From there, it just snowballed out of control to the point [where now] I'm naked in the woods. Well, not naked. But you can't see the underwear anyways. They're camouflage."

The collection is available on Thursday in stores and online. The campaign, lensed by photographer Theo Wenner and captured in Utah, features the 'Congratulations' singer styling pieces with the Kim Kardashian-cofounded brand's heavyweight fleece fabrication. The fabric is described by Skims as a premium, innovation-driven material debuting for the first time in the brand's menswear line. Fleece merges a rugged sophistication with everyday staples. This new collection also introduces a limited-edition selection of Realtree camouflage-printed styles, adding underwear, T-shirts and fleece separates to Skims' collection of signature silhouettes. The collection is rounded out with relaxed lounge pieces, blending tactile softness with the brand's focus on fit, ease and contemporary practicality. Since first introducing menswear in October 2023, with a campaign fronted by soccer star Neymar Jr., Skims' roster of campaign stars and collaborators has grown with the likes of Donovan Mitchell, Usher and more stars. Prior to 2023, the creative team behind Skims spent three years crafting pieces for the menswear line. 'We didn't want to launch a new category until we believed we had a truly disruptive product to take to market. We know the demand is there,' Jens Grede, cofounder and chief executive officer of Skims, said in 2023. 'It is our best-kept secret that currently almost 10 percent of our customers are men. They come for our unisex collections, such as Boyfriend, Sleep and Cozy. We are so excited to be able to give our customer broad choice and unbelievable comfort.'
