On Sunday night, Pushparaj and Manoj, 23, surrendered at the Aravayal police station.
On Monday, in the presence of the Tahsildar, police exhumed Venkatesh's body from where it was buried and sent it to the Sivaganga Government Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Heera fraud: SC permits ED to proceed against Nowhera

HYDERABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday permitted Enforcement Directorate (ED) to proceed as per the law, including the arrest of Heera Gold fraud accused Nowhera Shaik and the auction of attached properties. It is open for ED to take appropriate steps in accordance with the law, including the arrest of the accused in connection with various offences, and simultaneously proceed to auction all seized property to recover the money. The matter will be taken up after eight weeks. The next day of hearing, ED shall be filing a report," the bench ordered, when the case came up for hearing. However, senior advocate Venkatesh, appearing for ED, argued that since the accused failed to comply with the deposit directions, the agency should proceed further under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. Nowhera Shaik was arrested on May 7 and released in July after being granted bail by a sessions court in Hyderabad. She was earlier picked up by local police in Haryana. ED sources confirmed that the agency would file a petition in the local court to inform it about the latest SC order and initiate legal proceedings. "She was arrested in the PMLA case also while she was in jail. As she was released on bail, we have to file a petition in the court and inform about the SC order and take action. Last time, there were no bidders for 17 properties. Only four properties received bids. We will include more properties now," an ED source said. ED has issued restitution orders, and the recovered money would be transferred to the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO), which has verified the list of claimants and would initiate disbursement to victims. The agency has been probing Heera Group and Nowhera Shaik for allegedly collecting funds from thousands of investors by promising an annual return of 36%. The funds were allegedly diverted to acquire immovable and movable assets in the names of Nowhera Shaik and her associates. Earlier, ED had provisionally attached assets worth 400 crore under PMLA, which were subsequently confirmed by the adjudicating authority. The agency filed a prosecution complaint before the special PMLA court in Hyderabad.

The accused had convinced her to take out two insurance policies, citing financial security. They also planned to claim benefits under the state's Rythu Bima farmer insurance scheme. Live Events Crime execution On the day of the incident, Venkatesh took Ramavva to her field, saying he needed her signature for a power connection.
