SUPERGIRL: WOMAN OF TOMORROW Reportedly to Include a Big DC Cameo — GeekTyrant

Looks like Kara Zor-El will be joined by another big character from James Gunn's DCU in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow . This one seems like a given, but according to a new report, Milly Alcock's big-screen debut as Supergirl could feature a little cameo from David Corenswet's Superman.
Scooper MTTSH recently claimed that Corenswet's Superman will show up in a flashback. The scene reportedly depicts Kara's arrival on Earth, where she emerges from her ship alongside none other than Krypto the Superdog. Superman greets her with a warm smile and says 'Hi there!'
While that moment might sound small, it fits with what we already know. In Gunn's Superman , Clark is said to be looking after Krypto for Kara, so this flashback will tie some things together.
The rumor comes as Alcock begins to open up about the daunting journey of stepping into the iconic red boots. In a recent interview, she shared what it felt like going through the nerve-racking audition process — including a full-costume screen test with another actor.
'During a screen test, you're in a room with all the other women [vying for the same part] and you're all dressed as the character. [The studio] will get you lined up in the makeup truck and put the same makeup on you all and then test you on a stage.
'For Supergirl , it was myself and another girl. It was really scary; I thought I was going to vomit! But it's just fear! That's what happens! This job has been a journey of overcoming my own fear.'
Once the shock of getting cast settled in, Alcock leaned into the celebration, saying:
'I was kind of in disbelief. I was initially like, 'What have I done?'' Alcock admitted. 'I then invited all my friends over to the house and we drank champagne.'
The film is still in production, and aside from a few blurry set photos and some official behind the scenes stills, we haven't seen a full reveal of Alcock in the Supergirl suit.
When Gunn first announced the project, he offered some insight on how this version of Kara Zor-El would stand apart from the cheery, upbeat version many fans are used to.
'We see the difference between Superman who was sent to Earth and raised by loving parents from the time he was an infant, versus Supergirl who was raised on a rock, a chip off Krypton.
'[She] watched everyone around her die and be killed in terrible ways for the first 14 years of her life, and then came to Earth when she was a young girl. She's much more hardcore, she's not exactly the Supergirl we're used to seeing.'
So far, we know Alcock will be joined in the film by David Krumholtz ( Oppenheimer ) and Emily Beecham ( Into The Badlands ), who will play Kara's biological mother and father Alura and Zor-El, Eve Ridley ( 3 Body Problem ) who will play Ruthye Marye Knoll, and Matthias Schoenaerts ( The Old Guard ) will play the villainous Krem of the Yellow Hills.
Aquaman star Jason Momoa joined the cast as Lobo, and Krypto the Superdog is also going to play a role in the story.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has begun shooting, and is expected to arrive in theaters on June 26, 2026.
