The Beabadoobee response timeline explained

Al Bawaba25-02-2025

ALBAWABA - In case you missed it, several days ago, Filipino-British singer-songwriter Beabadoobee went viral across social media after responding to a video mocking her singing. The video titled "Artists who can Sing vs Artists who can't sing" has been trending on TikTok garnering millions of views across several accounts jumping on the trend.
One of the videos featured Beabadoobe which led the famous singer to take to Instagram and go on a full rant where she said hateful things towards the uploader. The clip in question compared the singer to rapper NBA Youngboy. Beabadoobee: Just tell me you get no girls... Just tell me your mother didn't love you
In her response, Beabadoobe targeted men claiming that they oversexualized and treated her horribly on the internet. She said, "I know men are mad at me because I probably get more girls than them. Just tell me you get no girls... Just tell me your mother didn't love you."
The indie artist added, "I still got more money than you...and you're still a man." The rant was triggered when she was spammed by several users with "Artists who can Sing vs Artists who can't sing" in her posts' comment sections.
The rant was considered sexist and hateful towards men by social media users and several of Beabadoobe's fans as well. Amid her response, Beabadoobe later apologized for her harsh words and clarified that her issue wasn't related to the trend but to the comments she's been receiving constantly in the past couple of days.
She added that while it was funny at first, it quickly became tiresome and negative. She said, "It gets to a point where it literally just involves your entire life because it's constantly being shoved to your face. It was funny, but now it's pissing me off."
The indie artist also reportedly voiced her dissatisfaction recently when the audience started singing opera songs during the breaks of her most recent concert. The singing was in reference to the "Artists who can Sing vs Artists who can't sing" which incorporated opera into its theme.
