How Long Does Casa Amor Last On Love Island UK? Season 12's New Twists Explained

Graziadaily3 days ago
There are two words that anyone happy in their couple on Love Island dreads most – Casa Amor. The time when well-established couples, new duos and friendship pairs are all torn apart and forced to spend a few days in the sun with an entirely new group of people.
Each year, we see betrayal, back stabbing and bed sharing and watch the chaos unfold when the original islanders are all reunited. This year is no different. Casa Amor has kicked off slightly earlier than usual at a time when no one is 'closed off' or in an actual relationship yet, and everyone claims to be 'open', which means there is bound to be drama. That was all but confirmed in the first hour when Harry Cooksley was reunited with his ex-girlfriend Emma, and she had a lot to say about his time in the vill and his new partnership with Helena Ford.
Casa Amor usually lasts for three or four days on the ITV dating show, which means we will likely see the original islanders reunited on Wednesday or Thursday night's episode. It turns out, according to past islanders, those infamous re-coupling scenes are often pre-empted and the islanders get a chance to chat and work out their feelings before filming begins. It also goes without saying that anyone who's last to recouple knows they are in for a shock when their partner walks through the door.
So far, we have already seen Harry reunited with his ex-girlfriend Emma (who he once honoured with the big 'E' tattoo on his wrist) just as things were starting to take off again with Helena. Despite not having any intentions of picking up where they left off (apparently), it only took Harry a couple of hours to tell everyone he is more sexually attracted to Emma than Helena in a game of truth or dare.
We've also seen resident nice guy Tommy Bradley, who is happily coupled up with Emily Moran, admit that he is 'open' and that he fancies some of the new girls. Then there's Dejon Noel-Williams who repeatedly turns girls down because of his connection with Megan Moore, but can't seem to help himself when someone new starts flirting with him. And, of course, Harrison Solomon, who has messed Toni Laites around more times than we can count, seems hellbent on doing it again. In less than 24 hours, he has made moves on not one but two of the new Casa Amor girls.
In Monday night's episode, we can expect to see the new Casa Amor boys enter the main villa to keep the girls company. Will anyone's head be turned? Will someone finally sweep Shakira off her feet? And what will the girls say when they receive their annual 'Casa Amor' post card from the villa down the road? Let's see...

Fresh Emmerdale horror in early ITVX release as Joe Tate is left wailing

The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn't aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX. Doctor Crowley's (James Hillier) revenge plan left Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) a broken man in tonight's Emmerdale. We first met the dodgy surgeon earlier this year, as part of Joe's plot to have an illegal kidney transplant. Joe paid Crowley to perform the operation, which saw him take Caleb Miligan's (William Ash) working organ and put it in Joe's body. He was paid and ordered to leave the village, but he returned this evening to put Joe in a position that left him terrified. The last we saw of Joe he had been knocked out by Shaun, his bodyguard. As he woke up, Joe found himself hooked up to some machines in a makeshift theatre room, and Doctor Crowley staring at him. The situation was simple – all Joe had to do was transfer £100k to Crowley and Shaun, and he could leave without a scratch on his body. If he didn't, Crowley was more than happy to use one of the scalpels he was cleaning while talking to Joe. Crowley gave Joe some time to ponder over the threat and left him alone in the room. In this period, Joe's anxiety increased and he found himself becoming more and more fearful. When Crowley and Shaun returned, there was a brief moment where it looked like the doctor was going to cut into Joe's skin, but he then gave in and revealed his bank details, so the duo could take his money. As a result of Crowley being smart and holding Joe hostage in a location that could not be traced, there was no possible way he could face the consequences for what he had done via prison. And even if Joe tried to get revenge himself, Crowley told him that he'd find him one day and do the exact same thing he had done today all over again. Joe, by this point, was a shell of the man he usually is – this message from Crowley got through to him loud and clear. More Trending Back at Home Farm, Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) tried to talk to Joe, but he sent her away. There's one thing Joe Tate loves more than anything else in this world, and it's money. EXCLUSIVE Loose Women ready to AXE celebrity guests after ITV shake-up amid growing fears the show could be cancelled within a year

Loose Women are expected to axe celebrity guests from the show amid growing fears the ITV staple could be cancelled within a year. The long-running series usually welcomes a host of celebrities onto the panel to promote upcoming projects and have had the likes of Naomi Campbell, Elizabeth Hurley, Joan Collins, and even former Prime Minster Rishi Sunak appear. But according to insiders, once ITV 's budget cuts come into effect in January, Loose Women will no longer have A-list guests in the studio, and the broadcast is planned to only consist of the panel debating newsworthy topics from the week. Now, TV sources have claimed that Loose Women is predicted to be completely cancelled within the year, as viewing figures are expected to drop once the show's quality is reduced. It comes after MailOnline revealed that the show has axed their studio audience, an integral part to the programme, which caused upset among several members of the long-standing cast including Nadia Sawalha, Ruth Langsford and Coleen Nolan. In May, ITV announced that Lorraine and Loose Women will only air for 30 weeks a year rather than 52, resulting in more than 220 of 440 staff involved losing their jobs. A TV source revealed: 'Not having guests is a big blow for both the presenters and viewers at home. 'The guests are often one of the highest parts of the show, so it feels like a very strange decision to cut them altogether. Instead, the focus will be on guests for Lorraine and This Morning. 'Behind the scenes the presenters are really upset because they love having guests on and feel they offer a different type of interview to the other daytime shows. 'Firstly, there are four hosts conducting the conversation and secondly, they use their interviews to discuss female focused issues, something shows like This Morning don't do as often. 'In recent years, Loose Women have welcomed Elizabeth Hurley, Joan Collins and have down sit down one on one interviews with Janet Jackson and Naomi Campbell who all chose to do their chats with the show because they love it. 'It's a real shame that in January, the programme will become a shell of its former self before it is inevitably cancelled altogether.' MailOnline understands that the reason for Loose Women axing celebrity guests is because there simply won't be enough manpower to host visitors and their decision has been to prioritise Lorraine and This Morning, so by default, the panel show will ultimately miss out. An ITV spokesperson added: 'The Loose Women team is still working on the show and its content for next year.' Former Prime Minster Rishi Sunak faced a gruelling from the Loose Women in May 2024 who probed on topics from sex education in schools to pensions and housing It comes after ITV announced dramatic budget cuts to their daytime schedule from halving Lorraine to 30 minutes and only airing the show during school term times to cutting Loose Women's output to 30 weeks a year. Under the plans, production of Good Morning Britain will be handled by a dedicated team at ITV News, which is made by ITN, the company that also holds the contracts to produce the news for Channel 4 and Channel 5. ITV Studios will continue to produce Lorraine, Loose Women and This Morning but is consulting on a plan to reduce the three separate teams to one, with the latter being prioritised in terms of their celebrity bookings. Loose Women panelist Nadia expressed her sadness over the show scrapping a live studio audience and as a result, her close friend and colleague, Lee Peart, who works as a warm-up artist, losing his job. She said: 'I am totally devastated by this fact, I can't get over it at all. Not only because the audience is so important for the show, but also my dear friend Lee who I work with every day.' Nadia also vocalised her feelings over the 'brutal' cuts to Loose Women as she explained how tough the May announcement had been for staff. She explained: 'This show has been highly successful for 25 years, more actually now, it is such a clear brand... 'The brutality of the world... what a lot of people don't realise is that we're self-employed, every contract is a new contract, I could be let go tomorrow or in five years, we're not employees. 'What's been absolutely brutal over the last week and honestly, I feel tearful about it is that hundreds of people are going to be made redundant out of the blue, these are people behind the scenes, that support us in every way. 'It's the way of the world, inflation is insane, cuts have to be made... a lot of my friends and colleagues on this show and at ITV have been there for decades, and I can't tell you how upsetting it was to see people walking around numb with shock and fear about what they were going to do.'

'Gentleman' Giorgio Russo leaves Love Island fans BEMUSED after returning from Casa Amor single, with some questioning whether he's ever watched the show before

Love Island fans were left bemused when Giorgio Russo returned from Casa Amor all by himself, with some questioning whether he's ever watched the show before. Thursday evening saw another jampacked episode of the popular ITV reality show hit our screens, with Maya Jama making a glamorous return for a recoupling. After the boys spent a couple of nights exploring connections in Casa Amor, it was time for them to decide whether they would return to their girls single or with a new flame. And, while the likes of Dejon Noel-Williams and Harrison Solomon made somewhat expected decisions, viewers couldn't believe Giorgio returned to the villa alone. The account manager, who lives in Australia away from the show, had been in a couple with fellow bombshell Billykiss before Casa, where he seemingly found a connection with former The X Factor contestant Yazmin. They had enjoyed a number of smooches and even shared a bed together, but Giorgio put a stop to things early on in Thursday's episode. The 30-year-old told her: 'I don't know what it is but I just feel like there's something missing. 'The easy option would be to carry things on but it's not fair. You're beautiful but I can't force it.' That meant that later in the show Giorgio returned to the main villa for the recoupling all alone, while Billykiss chose to couple up with Slovenian hunk Boris Vidovic. Giorgio told Maya on his arrival: 'There wasn't anyone in there who was my type. This whole journey I've been honest and true to myself and I thought bringing a girl back wouldn't be fair.' But while some supporters branded Giorgio a 'gentleman' for the move, others questioned whether he's actually ever watched the show before. Fans took to X to share their opinions, writing: 'Giorgio is by far the most gentleman like bloke to ever step foot in that villa', 'Giorgio is too good for this show let's be honest', 'Giorgio has not seen this show before', 'Giorgio is kind of the love island prince charming?? level headed, softly spoken, respectful always, ACTUALLY NORMAL??', 'The lad was not made for this show... far too respectful. And that's not a bad thing but on here being too nice doesn't get you too far', 'Giorgio is genuinely too much of a decent man to be on love island'. Elsewhere in the episode, Dejon Noel-Williams and Meg Moore reunited after a tough few days with him in Casa Amor. Meg was visibly relieved to see his return after gushing about how much she 'missed him' in earlier episodes. While Harry Crossley and Helena Ford surprisingly also both returned to each other single, despite the semi-professional footballer enjoying a kiss in Casa Amor. It came after the 30-year-old was left stunned when his ex Emma Munro walked into Casa as a bombshell. Emma exposed his playboy past which included inviting other women to her house behind her back, causing their relationship to end on bad terms. She sparked up a connection with rugby player Conor Phillips while in Casa, and returned to the main villa with the hunk on Thursday.
