Sanjay Leela Bhansali Locks THIS International Location For Love And War Shoot: Report
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently busy with the shoot of Love And War which stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The team is currently in Jaipur for the next schedule shoot. According to fresh reports, the director has finalised an international location for the shoot, adding yet another layer of grandeur to the much-anticipated film.
Filmfare has quoted the Bollywood Hungama report, which says that Bhansali is reportedly shooting a scene in Rome. The director has also done a recce to finalise the place and is also looking at a few more places in Europe but anything is not been finalised yet. Interestingly, the shooting in the overseas locations will begin in the second half of 2025.

Following the completion of its initial schedule in Mumbai, the cast and crew will embark on a 15-day shoot in Mhow, chosen for its timeless charm and deep historical significance. Known for its picturesque cantonment areas, pre-colonial architecture, and storied military history, Mhow was once the headquarters for the British Raj's Fifth Division of the Southern Command. Its vintage streets and colonial-era buildings are expected to provide an authentic backdrop for Bhansali's vision, which thrives on meticulous period detailing and visual grandeur. The location's historical connection to India's independence adds further depth to the film's setting, making it an ideal choice for a story steeped in love, loyalty, and conflict.
Set to release on March 26 next year, Love & War takes inspiration from Raj Kapoor's timeless classic Sangam. The narrative revolves around an emotionally charged love triangle, played out against the backdrop of war, with Bhansali's signature storytelling style promising a blend of heightened drama, intricate human emotions, and grand visual compositions. The fact that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, a real-life couple, will be portraying lovers on screen for Bhansali adds an extra layer of intrigue, while Vicky Kaushal's inclusion ensures a compelling dynamic at the heart of the story.
Bhansali is expected to bring his hallmark grandeur to Love & War, combining lush cinematography, soulful music, and layered performances. The film's pre-independence setting offers fertile ground for his artistry — from elaborate set pieces to emotionally resonant storytelling.
