SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A crash involving two elderly people, a parked car and a fire hydrant was reported by the San Angelo Police Department on June 9.
San Angelo man awarded Grand Champion at DPS Wraps up challenge
SAPD stated the crash happened around the 3800 block Millbrook drive when a red Cadilac was heading east on Millbrook and lost control hitting a parked blue GMC Envoy causing the Envoy to move forward and hit a fire hydrant.
The SAPD officer at the accident told a Conchovalleyhomepage reporter that the cause of the wreck may have been directly related to a medical issue and the driver is being evaluated. The officer said if it was deemed to be caused by a medical issue there will be no citation, but if it was deemed it wasn't caused by a medical issue the driver will be cited for failure to control speed.

San Angelo man awarded Grand Champion at DPS Wraps up challenge

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) personnel traveled to Corpus Christi to compete in the 32nd annual Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Texas Challenge. According to a press release from Texas DPS, in this challenge Texas DPS personal demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the field of enforcement of the federal motor carrier safety regulations. A total of 21 DPS personnel competed in the 2025 Texas Challenge, as well as nine Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program Officers. 'Over three days of competition, participants were required to inspect multiple types of commercial vehicles and take a written exam to test their knowledge of rules, regulations and operational procedures', said Texas DPS. 'These events were judged by industry personnel and retired DPS CVE Troopers.' Dustin Henderson from San Angelo's DPS office was awarded Grand Champion of the event.
