Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins has been arrested following serious allegations of domestic violence. According to a police report filed in Broward County, Florida, Judkins is accused of punching a woman in the face and striking her multiple times during a car ride on July 7.
The incident was reported five days later, and Judkins was officially arrested on July 12. The Browns say they are aware of the situation, while the NFL is expected to review the case under its Personal Conduct Policy.
Police report alleges Judkins punched woman in the face and hit her again in the car
According to the arrest affidavit, the accuser told police that while she and Judkins were leaving Fort Lauderdale Airport on July 7, he allegedly punched her in the chin/lip area with a closed fist. She also stated he later struck her on the left arm and thigh during the same car ride.
She did not initially report the incident, telling officers on July 12 that she was concerned it might 'impact Judkins' NFL career.' Police noted visible bruising on her chin and photos from July 8 that supported the timeline of injuries.
Judkins arrested on July 12, released on bond
Judkins was arrested on July 12 and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery. He was booked into Broward County Jail and released shortly after on a $2,500 bond.
The case is now in the early legal process, and no court dates have been announced publicly.

As of now, Judkins has not commented on the allegations.
Browns acknowledge situation, NFL expected to review
The Cleveland Browns released a brief statement confirming they're aware of Judkins' arrest and are 'currently gathering information.' The NFL has not issued a public statement yet, but given the league's Personal Conduct Policy, Judkins could face disciplinary action, including placement on the Commissioner's Exempt List during the investigation.
Judkins was a highly anticipated rookie addition to the Browns' backfield this offseason, expected to compete for snaps behind Nick Chubb and Jerome Ford.
His arrest now puts that future in question.
The NFL has a long track record of issuing suspensions or placing players on leave during or even before domestic violence cases are resolved in court regardless of conviction. It's unclear how soon the league or the team will make a decision.Quinshon Judkins' future with the Browns is now under serious scrutiny as both legal proceedings and a potential NFL investigation loom.

Shannon Sharpe's sexual assault accuser's lawyer hits back, denies racial targeting as $50M lawsuit settlement sparks ESPN fallout

Shannon Sharpe's sexual assault accuser's lawyer denies racial targeting (Getty Images) Tony Buzbee defends his reputation amid accusations of racial bias Marine Corps bond reportedly helped close the case quietly NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe continues to face public scrutiny after the shocking lawsuit filed against him earlier this year by 19-year-old Gabriella Zuniga. As the dust settles from a quiet $50 million settlement, the spotlight now turns to the attorney representing Zuniga—Tony Buzbee—who's firing back after being accused of racially targeting high-profile Black Tony Buzbee, known for representing multiple women in the Deshaun Watson misconduct case, has strongly pushed back against Sharpe's claim that he deliberately goes after Black men. In a candid interview with Esquire, Buzbee made it clear: 'He has no relevance in my life. I actually think he's very entertaining when he yells and screams and talks about sports that he's not involved in. But if I think it's a legitimate case, then I pursue it. And I think this is worth my time.'Buzbee, who previously filed lawsuits involving Jay-Z and Sean "Diddy" Combs, now finds himself under fire for what critics see as a pattern. However, the Houston-based attorney insists his pursuit of justice is based on merit, not race. His comments come after Sharpe was accused by Gabriella Zuniga of rape, emotional abuse, and coercive behavior during their brief relationship in a former OnlyFans model, alleged she was subjected to public humiliation and non-consensual acts—claims that made headlines in April when the lawsuit was officially filed in the public tension, Sharpe's attorney Michael Marino revealed a surprising twist in the resolution. 'Like many highly successful individuals, Tony Buzbee is a complex and formidable figure,' Marino said. 'Our shared experience as former officers in the United States Marine Corps fostered a mutual respect... That brotherhood enabled us to speak candidly and constructively.'That connection led to a private settlement in July, one that has now prompted professional consequences. Rashee Rice speaks for first time after Dallas highway crash as NFL punishment looms

Rashee Rice speaks for first time after Dallas highway crash as NFL punishment looms (Image Via Google) In early August 2025, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice spoke for the first time since a viral hit‑and‑run crash on a Dallas highway in March 2024. Rumors were there about his upcoming punishment. In his public remarks at Kansas City Chiefs training camp, Rice hinted at deep change without revealing full details. His words left reporters and fans wondering how this star plans to move forward while facing legal and league consequences. Rashee Rice faces jail time and backlash over Dallas crash Rashee Rice pleaded guilty on July 17, 2025 to two third‑degree felonies: collision involving serious bodily injury and racing on a highway causing injury. He admitted to driving a Lamborghini Urus at 119 mph on U.S. Highway 75 (North Central Expressway) in Dallas, Texas, which caused a six-car chain-reaction crash. He also fled the scene on foot without checking on the injured. Rice was sentenced to five years of deferred probation and 30 days in jail, which he may serve at any time during that probation period. He has already paid over $115,000 in medical restitution and settled one civil suit for approximately $1.086 million. You have to learn from things like that. I've learned…' He added that he would continue working within his means to make sure everyone impacted will be made whole and urged people to drive safe. Rice's attorney, Royce West, also spoke out, noting the jail time will be served across the probation period and that Rice plans to turn himself in responsibly. Former prosecutors explained that because Rice has deferred adjudication, the case may be dismissed if he completes probation successfully. Meanwhile, the NFL is reviewing the case and a multi-game suspension is expected. Chiefs coach Andy Reid confirmed that Rice will take part in training camp and preseason drills, though any regular-season participation may depend on league discipline.
