Megyn Kelly slams George Clooney over journalism comments, questions Hollywood career at age 63
Megyn Kelly is hitting back at George Clooney after the actor mocked her journalism career during a conversation with Broadway icon Patti LuPone for Variety's Actors on Actors. On a recent episode of Kelly's podcast, she fired back at Clooney, defending her journalistic credentials and criticizing his recent actions.
Kelly took issue with Clooney's remarks in a New York Times op-ed, where the actor called for President Joe Biden to exit the 2024 Presidential race. In her response, Kelly questioned Clooney's journalistic credentials, noting his own lack of timely reporting on major stories. She pointed to his delayed commentary on Biden's mental fitness and the resulting op-ed after a presidential debate, accusing Clooney of being 'cowardly' and engaging in 'naked partisanship.'
Further criticizing Clooney, Kelly suggested that the actor's Broadway role in Good Night, and Good Luck, an adaptation of his 2005 film, might be an attempt to stay relevant as Hollywood roles become scarcer at the age of 63. 'Are the Hollywood roles getting a little hard to come by as you age and get decidedly more smug and self-congratulatory?' she questioned sarcastically.
In response to Kelly's remarks, Clooney had previously mentioned during his conversation with LuPone that he didn't claim to be a journalist, but had traveled to conflict zones like Darfur and Sudan to report firsthand stories. He dismissed Kelly's criticism, asserting that his Broadway play simply showcased her words without any manipulation.
As of now, Clooney's representatives have not responded to Kelly's comments.

Tom Felton returns as Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway
Tom Felton will return to the stage as Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway, marking his debut on the Great White Way. Felton will begin performances on November 11, 2025, for a 19-week engagement, running through March 22, 2026. This will be the first time a cast member from the original Harry Potter film series has joined the Broadway production of the play. Set 19 years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Cursed Child follows the now-adult characters, including Draco Malfoy, as they navigate the challenges of parenthood while sending their children off to Hogwarts. Felton, who portrayed the infamous Slytherin in the Harry Potter films, shared his excitement about returning to the role, saying it will be a 'full-circle moment' for him. At the age of Draco's character in the play, Felton feels a special connection to the role and expressed enthusiasm about reuniting with the "greatest fan community" in the world. The production, which originally opened at the Lyric Theatre in 2018, was modified after the pandemic. The Broadway version was condensed into a single, 3.5-hour show, compared to its original two-part format. Producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender highlighted the significance of Felton's return to the role, noting that his portrayal of Draco as an adult facing parenthood and legacy will bring fresh depth to the character. 'We feel incredibly fortunate to welcome Tom into our Cursed Child family,' said the producers, emphasizing the excitement of fans worldwide to see Felton back as the iconic Malfoy. This marks a milestone for both Felton's career and the ongoing success of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway.

Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood address feud rumours after 'The White Lotus' season 3
After The White Lotus Season 3 wrapped up, rumours of a feud between Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood began circulating. Fans noticed the two stars, who played Rick and Chelsea, weren't following each other on Instagram, leading to speculation about tension between the co-stars. In a joint interview with Variety, both actors addressed the rumours head-on, clarifying there was no bad blood between them. Goggins became emotional as he expressed his deep admiration for Wood, stating, "There is no feud. I adore, I love this woman madly, and she is so important to me." Wood echoed similar sentiments, dismissing the social media focus as "irrelevant." The Instagram unfollow, Goggins explained, was part of his emotional process after filming. "I needed to begin to process saying goodbye to Rick and Chelsea," he said, revealing he needed some space after wrapping the show. Wood supported his decision, saying she understood completely. Both actors laughed off the feud rumours, with Goggins even re-following Wood on Instagram during the interview. "It's all so ridiculous," he added, emphasising their enduring friendship. They also shared a bittersweet moment, recalling a tender love scene between their characters that was cut from the final edit. Despite the rumours, it's clear that Goggins and Wood share a lasting bond, both on-screen and off, proving the reports of a feud were much ado about nothing.
