Texas A&M will host 2026 5-star WR and LSU commit for an official visit
One of the top 2026 prospects just revealed his plans for the summer, which includes several official vists, despite being committed to LSU, as five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys will reportedly take official visits to Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn, LSU and Texas A&M, which isn't extremely surprising, but excellent news for the Aggies regardless.
Even after Keys committed to the Tigers, his unofficial visit to College Station back in late March was a good sign, knowing that he has already developed a relationship with coach Mike Elko and wide receiver coach Holmon Wiggins, similar to the strong bond four-star wide receiver commits Aaron Gregory, Madden Williams and Mike Brown have also developed with both coaches.
On the field, Keys is as elite as they come from a speed/route running perspective, and is built as a X receiver at 6'2" and 175 pounds, and is coming off what one of the most productive seasons by any 2026 wide receiver prospect after reeling in 58 receptions, 1,275 yards and 14 touchdowns during his 2024 junior season.
Under Elko and Wiggins, Texas A&M has already outdone former head coach Jimbo Fisher in recruiting elite wide receivers, led by 2025 five-star signee Jerome Myles, paired with landing current No. 1 wide receiver KC Concepcion from the transfer portal.
According to On3, Tristen Keys is the 4th-ranked prospect in the 2026 cycle and the No. 1-ranked wide receiver and prospect in Mississippi.

Many Auburn fans remember where they were on Nov. 28, 2013, when Chris Davis returned a missed Alabama field goal 109 yards to the end zone as time expired, leading the No. 4 Auburn Tigers to a 34-28 win over No. 1 Alabama at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The play known affectionately as the "kick six" sent Auburn to the SEC Championship Game to represent the SEC West at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, which ultimately led the Tigers to its second BCS National Championship game in four seasons. It is a play that is fresh on every college football fans' mind, regardless of how it makes each individual feel. There have been several unforgettable plays over the last 25 years, where does the Chris Davis return rank among them? ESPN recently revealed its list of the top 25 plays since 2000, and has given the iconic return the top spot. ESPN set up the play, describing Alabama running back TJ Yeldon's run that ended out of bounds, seemingly ending regulation. However, Alabama head coach Nick Saban pleaded his case to put one second back on the clock, to give his field goal unit enough time to kick the go-ahead field goal. Saban was awarded the extra second, to which he called on kicker Adam Griffith to relieve Cade Foster, who missed three field goals earlier in the game, to attempt the 56-yard field goal. The kick, as we know it, fell short and set Davis up with the memorable return. Chris Low of ESPN shared the implications of the kick for both Alabama and Auburn fans. The loss kept Saban and the previously unbeaten Crimson Tide from playing for what would have been their third straight national championship. Auburn advanced to the final BCS national championship game, where the Tigers in Gus Malzahn's first season as coach lost to Florida State in the final seconds. It's a play that will live in the hearts of Auburn fans, who can still hear the school's radio play-by-play announcer, the late Rod Bramblett, screaming "Auburn's going to win the football game!" as Davis crossed the goal line. The kick six happened two weeks after another miracle play occurred. Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall connected with wide receiver Ricardo Louis on 4th and 18 with 0:36 remaining in their game with Georgia to go ahead of the Bulldogs and ultimately win, 43-38. Other key plays to join the "kick six" in the top five are Boise State's statue of liberty play to beat Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl, Appalachian State's blocked kick to stun Michigan in 2005, and Vince Young's touchdown scramble to beat USC in the 2006 BCS National Championship Game. MSU target, 3-star DL Gavin Neil commits to Boston College following official visit A Michigan State defensive lineman target in the 2026 class has committed to a program the Spartans will lineup against this upcoming season. Gavin Neil of Chicago Heights, Ill. announced his commitment to Boston College on Sunday. The commitment -- which he announced via a post on social media platform X -- to the Eagles from Neil comes after he took an official visit to Boston College this past weekend. Neil is a three-star defensive lineman in the 2026 class, and holds a recruiting rating of 86 on 247Sports. He ranks as the No. 140 defensive lineman and No. 34 player from Illinois in the class. Michigan State was Neil's only other power four offer at this point in the recruitment, and the Spartans were the previous favorite to land his commitment. Boston College, though, entered the mix this past week with an offer and a quick official visit to get him on their recruiting board. Neil was supposed to visit Michigan State next week but it is assumed that he will not be making that visit now. Texas A&M women's team closes track season strong with podium finish at NCAA Outdoors The Texas A&M women's track and field team has consistently ranked in the top five all season long and, among elite programs, finished third at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Overtaking the Georgia Bulldogs, who ran away with the point total, was always going to be a tall order, especially with the next closest team trailing by 26 points. That left a fierce battle for second place, where the USC Trojans edged out the Aggies, 47 to 43, thanks to standout individual performances and a season-best showing in the 4x100m relay. Junior triple jumper Winny Bii became the Aggies' lone NCAA Champion of the day. Her opening jump of 13.96m (45-9.75) held up throughout the competition, earning Texas A&M its first-ever NCAA title in the women's triple jump. Debora Cherono, Jasmine Montgomery, Jaiya Covington, and Sofia Yakushina all scored key points, helping solidify the team's top-five finish. Texas A&M also notched two top-four relay results, second in the 4x100m (42.89) and fourth in the 4x400m (3:27.11), both marking season-best times. While the ultimate goal remains a national title, finishing third in the season was a strong and promising result.
