NYT ‘Connections' Hints And Answers For Sunday, July 13th
Looking for Saturday's NYT Connections hints, clues and answers instead? You can find them here:
We're just about halfway through the lovely summer month of July, one of two months named for old, dead Roman dictators. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and we have another Connections to solve. As always, I will be your handy Sunday edition Connections guide. This one wasn't too bad, but if you need some helpful clues to set you on your path, read onward, dearest Connectioneers!
How To Play Connections
Connections is the second-most popular NYT Games puzzle game outside of the main crossword itself, and an extremely fun, free offering that will get your brain moving every day. Play it right here.
The goal is to take a group of 16 words and find links between four pairs of four of them. They could be specific categories of terms, or they could be little world puzzles where words may come before or after them you need to figure out. And they get more complicated from there.

There is only one set of right answers for this, and you only get a certain number of tries so you can't just spam around until you find something. There are difficulty tiers coded by color, which will usually go from yellow, blue/green to purple as difficulty increases, so know that going in and when you start linking them together.
You pick the four words you think are linked and either you will get a solve and a lit up row that shows you how you were connected. If you're close, it will tell you that you're one away. Again, four mistakes you lose, but if you want to know the answers without failing, either come here, or delete your web cookies and try again. If you want to play more puzzles, you can get an NYT Games subscription to access the full archives of all past puzzles.

NYT Connections July 12th answers
I think the puzzle setter was trying to confuse people with BURN and CHARD here, but of course you spell the latter CHARRED. Overall, I found this one pretty easy, and even the purple group was pretty obvious – BUBBLY is champagne, CAB is cabernet, CHARD, is chardonay, ZIN is zinfandel. Green was the trickiest one for me, obviously, but once you put them all side-by-side it's pretty obvious that these are things you find on a credit card.

Tyler Perry's Divorced Sistas make BET+ history
Tyler Perry has been a trending topic lately, with one reason being his new BET+ series, Tyler Perry's Divorced Sistas. The LeToya Luckett-led drama made history on the streaming platform as the most-watched series premiere, something it accomplished within just three weeks. According to a press release, the premiere has not only outperformed every BET+ series since the service launched in September 2019, but it has also significantly boosted the platform with a record 415,000 new subscription starts. Divorced Sistas is on the brink of concluding its eight-episode season, which has garnered much attention on social media with fans posting clips of popular scenes and starting conversations about the characters. The series follows the lives of five friends: Rasheda (Luckett), Geneva (Khadeen Indréa), Naomi (Porscha Coleman), Tiffany (Briana Price), and Bridgette (Jennifer Sears). They're all battling life and relationship woes at some stage of divorce, marriage, and dating, but it's the battle within their circle that tests their true character and love for one another. Guest stars include DeVon Franklin, RonReaco Lee, and more. Tyler Perry has several series on different platforms currently showing new episodes or have upcoming seasons. His Netflix series She The People will reportedly undergo a name change after the owner of a nonprofit organization (who has a trademark) filed a lawsuit. It stars Terri J. Vaughn, who is most known for her role as Lavita on the '90s series The Steve Harvey Show. Other popular shows include House of Payne, Sistas, Zatima, All the Queen's Men, Assisted Living, and more. If the mood of Divorced Sistas feels familiar, it's because there are classic shows that also follow a group of women friends in different stages of their lives. Two are Living Single and Girlfriends.
