Report: Floyd Mayweather putting 'huge offer' together for Giants minority stake

Floyd Mayweather wants to own the NY Giants … and we're told the 50-0 boxing legend is leading a group gunning to buy a 10% stake in the 4x Super Bowl-winning franchise!
TMZ Sports has learned that 47-year-old Mayweather and his business partner, prominent real estate magnate, Meyer Orbach, are putting together an offer. There will likely be another wealthy investor added to the team, per what we are being told from our sources.
We're told the offer will be in the neighborhood of $700 million … and the plan is to submit the proposal soon. We're told TBE has already moved $200 million into an escrow account.
'My partners and I are always looking at different opportunities, including ownership of sports teams. I can't comment further than that,' Orbach told TMZ.
Orbach already owns a minority stake in the Minnesota Timberwolves and Floyd Mayweather has had his hands in various businesses for years. They want to purchase a 10 percent stake in the Giants and plan to offer $700 million, but that likely won't be enough.
No formal valuation of the Giants has been done, so it's hard to determine what amount equals 10 percent of the organization, but a $700 million offer means this particular view values the team at $7 billion.
In a handful of valuations done in the last year, the Giants are estimated to be worth anywhere from $6.8 to $7.65 billion.
There will likely be even more suitors lining up to place an offer for a minority stake in the Giants, but without a formal valuation, the money they will need to purchase that stake remains muddy. But it's likely that more than $700 million will be needed.

The Bengals recently announced they would be open to hearing trade offers for their All-Pro edge rusher, Trey Hendrickson. The Bengals would still have their first-round pick edge rusher in Shemar Stewart to cause problems, which is why, along with the report, the team said they would not even need an edge rusher in return. That is where Jason Licht could step in and make a splash for the Bucs to get them on the brink of a Super Bowl while veterans like Lavonte David and Mike Evans debate retirement. We aimed to do our best Jason Licht impersonation by providing three trade packages that we are confident everyone will agree are great ideas. Because, of course, everyone thinks every trade is a good one and there is no room for thinking otherwise, right? Trade Package 1 This package is popular among fans on social media, but it lacks some explosive pieces for the Bengals to pull the trigger on it. The Bengals would be departing with an All-Pro, nearly 18+ sacks a season player, they are going to need a lot. Logan Hall is a reliable defensive lineman who would help the Bengals' abysmal defense, and the two draft picks on the second day of the draft would help in the long haul for a team that hates paying players. Perhaps this gets it done, most likely it wouldn't, but hey, it would be a starting point. Trade Package 2 The Chris Braswell experiment would be over for the Bucs, and they would be all in on 2025 with this move. The second-round draft pick stings, but getting a fourth back helps, not to mention getting Hendrickson. Someone is going to have to get aggressive with the Bengals to make a trade happen because both Hendrickson and the Bengals don't want to make a trade. The challenge is enticing them to do so, and higher draft capital does that. Which leads us to our final offer. Trade Package 3 Note: This deal would come with a contract extension for Trey Hendrickson, keeping him in Tampa Bay for the next three to five years. This deal seems like a lot, because it is. This is the same package that the Bears sent to the Raiders to get their All-Pro pass rusher, Khalil Mack. The two first-rounders are the heavyweight fighters here for either pick because no one likes committing that type of draft capital. However, when you get a player like Hendrickson, who helps you immediately become a Super Bowl contender in a loaded NFC.
