Saiyaara Box Office Day 5: Ahaan Panday's Debut Beats Salman Khan's Sikandar, Earns Rs 130 Cr
Saiyaara box office collection day 5: The Saiyaara fever shows no signs of slowing down. Directed by Mohit Suri and starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film has become an unstoppable force at the Indian box office. Released on Friday, the romantic drama has not only surpassed expectations but also smashed records typically reserved for big-budget star-led releases.
According to Sacnilk, Saiyaara collected Rs 23.94 crore on its first Tuesday, taking the total to a whopping Rs 131.19 crore in just five days. This is particularly impressive as weekday collections tend to drop. Remarkably, Tuesday's earnings were even higher than its opening day, which stood at Rs 21.5 crore. The film recorded a 46.39% Hindi occupancy on Tuesday, indicating strong word-of-mouth and consistent footfalls.
With this, Saiyaara has officially beaten the India lifetime box office collection of Salman Khan's Sikandar, which had earned Rs 110.1 crore. It also overtook Akshay Kumar's Sky Force, which had collected Rs 112.75 crore. The film is now on track to challenge Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which ended its run at Rs 153.55 crore.
Saiyaara follows the love story of Krish Kapoor (Ahaan), an aspiring musician, and Vaani (Aneet), a reserved journalist. The film blends music, romance, and heartbreak in a style reminiscent of Mohit Suri's earlier hits like Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain. One of the key drivers of the film's success has been its music, especially the title track sung by Faheem Abdullah, which has made it to Spotify's Global Top 50 charts.
The film has also received endorsements from several Bollywood stars. Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Ranveer Singh praised Saiyaara on their social media handles, boosting its visibility.
Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai also praised the film's success, saying, 'When a new star-cast film creates a wave at the box office, it sends us a clear message… no money spent on stars' whims—no extra spend on marketing stunts."

Bigg Boss 19 trailer: Salman Khan introduces new theme ‘Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar', promises drama with democratic twist
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan returns with a brand-new season of one of Indian television's most popular reality shows — Bigg Boss. The trailer for Season 19 teases a fresh twist with the theme of 'democracy'. In the video, Salman offers a glimpse into what's new this time around. Salman Khan reveals the theme of Bigg Boss 19 in the trailer video. Salman Khan introduces the new theme of Bigg Boss 19 On Thursday, JioHotstar shared the trailer of Bigg Boss Season 19, which showed Salman Khan dressed as a politician. Set against the dramatic backdrop of a Parliament-inspired Bigg Boss house, the new theme, 'Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar', introduces a seismic shift in power. In the video, Salman revealed that the housemates will have the authority to make decisions big and small, turning the house into a battleground of public sentiment. He is heard saying in the video in Hindi, "Aisa pehli baar hua 18-19 saalon mein (This has happened for the first time in 18–19 years). This time, Bigg Boss won't be about crazy drama, but about democracy. Every small and big decision will be in the hands of the housemates. So housemates, do whatever you want to do, man — but be ready for the consequences and the public, because this time in Bigg Boss, it's the Gharwaalon ki Sarkaar (housemates' government)." Salman Khan on Bigg Boss season 19 As Salman returns as the host, he shared his excitement about the show and said in a statement, "Bigg Boss' every season is different, but this time, the tables have turned. 'Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar' ka matlab hai power unke haath mein aur jab power milti hai, toh asli chehre saamne aate hain. Is baar contestants ko apne decisions lene ka poora haq diya gaya hai, par har decision ke saath ek consequence bhi aata hai. Main hamesha kehta hoon, tameez se khelo, par yeh log tameez chhod ke drama le aate hain (Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar means the power is in their hands, and when people get power, their true faces are revealed. This time, the contestants have been given full authority to make their own decisions, but every decision comes with a consequence. I always say, play with dignity, but these people leave dignity behind and bring in drama). This season, they'll try to run the house their way, but when things go out of control, you know who's coming back to set the record straight!' SBM 'Banks' on rap ad to protect you from cybercrime
With a fusion of India's rich cultural heritage and modern digital communication, SBM Bank India has unveiled "MudraRap," an innovative campaign designed to raise awareness about cybersecurity. The initiative combines the expressive hand gestures of classical Indian dance , known as mudras, with the high-energy rhythm of rap music to connect with the nation's digitally savvy population. The campaign comes at a time when cyber threats grow increasingly sophisticated, with financial frauds and social engineering scams on the rise. SBM Bank India's approach reimagines cybersecurity awareness , moving it from a dry, technical subject to a vibrant, cultural experience, said a media statement. The core of the "MudraRap" campaign is a video in which expressive hand gestures derived from classical dance and everyday movements are paired with a fast-paced rap composition. An AI-generated voiceover and background score deliver key cyber safety messages, such as safeguarding passwords, recognising scam attempts, and protecting personal information online. The rap's contemporary lyrics are crafted to resonate specifically with millennial and Gen Z audiences. This campaign is a natural extension of SBM Bank India's long-standing commitment to integrating art into its brand philosophy. "India has always told its stories through art," said Sunita Prabhu, Head of Marketing & Communication at SBM Bank India. "With MudraRap, we wanted to tap into this cultural power to deliver an urgent and timely message—that of CyberSuraksha . We've taken a form rooted in our heritage and layered it with words and music that speak to the current generation." The powerful hand gestures, or "Mudra-graphy," featured in the campaign were conceptualized and performed by Tithi Das, a renowned Odissi dancer from Kolkata. Das's choreography seamlessly blends tradition with innovation, transforming classical dance into a compelling visual language for a modern message. The campaign's urgency is underscored by alarming statistics on cybercrime. Niju Mohan, Chief Information Security Officer & Head of Operational Risk at SBM Bank India, highlighted the scale of the problem. "Cyber-enabled financial frauds are rising sharply, with social engineering driving nearly one-third of the cases," Mohan stated. "Digital Arrest scams alone caused losses exceeding ₹2,000 crore last year. As people remain the weakest link in the cybersecurity chain, human behavior must be treated as the first line of defense. Continuous awareness campaigns are essential to build resilience across audiences, and MudraRap aims to raise awareness in this critical space." Watch the film here:
