Orlando Bloom lets slip Pirates of the Caribbean 'return'
Orlando Bloom has teased a return to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, saying he would love to 'get the band back together' on ITV's This Morning
Orlando Bloom dropped a major hint at a possible comeback of the swashbuckling Pirates of the Caribbean series.
The actor famed for his role as Will Turner spilled all during an interview on This Morning, sparking speculation of a sixth instalment of the iconic film franchise that first set sail in 2003 with The Curse of the Black Pearl.
With Dead Men Tell No Tales having made its voyage in 2017, chatter about a new chapter has been rife, and Orlando stoked the gossip with a coy: "Who knows?"
He teased further: "I can't say anything at the moment because I really don't know. They're trying to work out what it would all look like.
"I personally think it would be great to get the band back together. But there are always different ideas, so we'll see where it lands."
The Lord of the Rings actor's comments come after producer Jerry Bruckheimer addressed a return of Pirates of the Caribbean.
When asked by ComicBook.com about the future of the franchise and that of Top Gun, he replied: "It's hard to tell. You don't know, you really don't know."
Elaborating, he noted the uncertainty surrounding movie projects, but assured that rebooting Pirates is less complex since it doesn't hinge on particular stars' schedules.
He said: "But we're gonna reboot Pirates, so that is easier to put together because you don't have to wait for certain actors."
Despite Orlando's eagerness to "get the band back together," he was notably absent from the fourth instalment of Pirates of the Caribbean.
In a 2010 interview about his potential involvement in the fourth film, he stated: "No, definitely not... I think Will is sort of swimming around with the fish at the bottom of the ocean. "".
"I had a great time making those movies," he added. "I just really wanted to do different things, but I think it's going to be great."
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.

Benidorm star confesses they are 'close to living in a cardboard box' seven years after the ITV comedy show ended
Benidorm star Crissy Rock has confessed she now lives like a 'nomad' and could find herself in a 'cardboard box' seven years after the ITV show ended. The comedian, 66, who played hotel manageress Janey York in the series, explained that her career and upcoming UK tour has resulted in sleeping 'couch to couch' while keeping her possessions in the boot of her car. As well as starring in Benidorm, Crissy won numerous awards for her role in 1994 movie Ladybird, Ladybird before going on to appear on I'm A Celeb and Celebrity Come Dine With Me and Celebrity Masterchef. She told The Express: 'Me, I'm like a nomad. I live from place to place to place. My wardrobe is just the boot of my car. If it wasn't for my friend, I would be living in a hostel or a cardboard box'. 'When I'm in Liverpool, I go and see her and I have family and that so I just sort of move around from couch to couch.' Benidorm star Crissy Rock, 66, has confessed she now lives like a 'nomad' and could find herself in a 'cardboard box' seven years after the ITV show ended Explaining the reasons behind her new lifestyle, she told the publication it was due to her work that can take her around the country at a moments notice. Crissy appeared as Solana Hotel boss Janey for the show's first four seasons, before retuning sporadically until her final exit during season seven. The comedy continued for another three years before being axed in May 2018. Asked if she would be keen to see the comedy make a return, Crissy said: 'I've heard that the show could come back and I think that it would be brilliant if they did bring it back. But I can't say much, but I would love it to happen'. Just two months after its cancellation was confirmed, the show won Best cCmedy at TV Choice Awards - with its creator Derren Litten calling out the decision in his acceptance speech at the time. Now its been reported it could be making a comeback, with The Sun claiming earlier this year that TV bosses are in talks to reboot the show. A TV insider told the publication: 'Benidorm was adored by millions when it was suddenly cancelled. Fans will be thrilled to hear ITV wants to bring it back. 'An 11th series hasn't been commissioned yet, but there's major excitement building as early talks begin. 'Producers have started to reach out to the show's stars and are hopeful a decision can be made later this year.' She said: 'Me, I'm like a nomad. I live from place to place to place. Finally ITV bringing back a INCREDIBLE Show,'; 'Omg! I'm absolutely buzzing with excitement! This is the best news ever! I really hope the Garvey's come back!' 'I hope so cause that would be the best birthday present every.' The ITV Brits abroad sitcom - which followed a group of holidaymakers in the Spanish resort and their hilarious escapades - came to an end in May 2018 after 11 years, and fans have been begging for more ever since. In 2023, show creator Derren teased a return of the beloved series as he announced that he was returning back to writing for 'both television and theatre'. He said: 'I have had clear, recent indications that certain TV channels are interested in my decision and I hope you will be watching the fruits of my labour in time to come.' Then, in March 2025 he sparked hope of its comeback once again when a fan asked on X: '@DerrenLitten @ITV Another series of Benidorm on the cards?' and he cryptically replied: 'Who knows...' Announcing the news on social media that it had been axed in 2018, Derren said: 'Crazy to think Wednesday will be the last episode of Benidorm! 'I created the series over 11 years ago, wrote it, guest starred in it and ended up directing it. It's difficult to think what else there is to do! Thank you for watching!'

Ryan Thomas shares wife's off-screen involvement in Sue Cleaver's Corrie exit
Ryan Thomas spent 16 years on the Corrie set with his mum Eileen, played by Sue Cleaver - so when she finally called it a day on the ITV soap, he was there to send her off Corrie star Ryan Thomas has given his wife Lucy Mecklenburgh a tour around his on-screen childhood home, as he paid tribute to his TV mum Eileen after Sue Cleaver's emotional departure from the soap. Ryan, 40, shares two children with TOWIE star Lucy Meck, but he had already left the show by the time they got together. Ryan spent his teenage years in Weatherfield, having joined the Manchester-based ITV soap in 2000. He stayed until 2016, when his character, builder Jason Grimshaw left the cobbles after being manipulated by his mum Eileen's partner Pat Phelan. But Jason wasn't killed off, and instead emigrated to Thailand, with his mum Eileen mentioning him often on the soap. And with Sue Cleaver finally leaving Corrie for good, he took the opportunity to show Lucy, 33, around the set. Sharing a video on Instagram of Lucy walking through the Grimshaws' living room, he wrote: "I was never with @lucymeck while I was in the show so it was nice to finally show my superfan where I grew up." Another clip showed Sue being given a round of applause, before hugging her on-screen sons Jason and Todd, who was played by Bruno Langley originally, and then Gareth Pierce since 2017. Ryan wrote: "Haven't seen it yet but Eileen/mother departed Weatherfield tonight, gone but never forgotten. "It has been an honour to watch, learn and act alongside you one last time. Can't wait to watch you shine in your next chapter. Love you always." Sue confirmed rumours that Ryan would be returning to the Cobbles for her send off. Speaking on soap podcast Off Script, she said: "I rang Ryan Thomas and I said, 'Ryan, I've not told work yet but I'm gonna leave. Would you come back? I'd really like you to take me out'. "He said, 'I wasn't planning to but I can't refuse that can I'. It just felt really right that he was there. It was lovely having him there. He's not changed at all." Following her final episode on Friday night, Sue's character Eileen was seen leaving for a new life in Thailand, alongside her son Jason. Simon Gregson's character Steve McDonald, Tony Maudsley's George Shuttleworth, and Eileen's son Todd, played by Gareth Pierce, all said goodbye to the matriarch before drivers from the local taxi firm honked their horns as she was driven off. In an Instagram post, Cleaver said: 'Well… that's a wrap. 25 years of laughs, tears, costumes, chaos — and one unforgettable journey. I'll miss this character like crazy, but what a ride it's been. Thank you for every moment.' Sue has played outspoken Eileen in the ITV show since 2000, who started her life in Weatherfield working on the phones at local taxi firm Streetcars. She arrived with her tearaway teenagers Jason and Todd, and became friends with her boss Steve. Sue came third on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2022, where she opened up about reconciling with her birth mother. She also revealed how her family is 'bizarrely interconnected' to other Coronation Street stars, including Helen Worth (who plays Gail Platt) who is godmother to one of her half-sisters. Meanwhile, her other half-sister's husband, John Bowe, appeared on the cobbles as Duggie Ferguson. In 2024, Sue released a book A Work In Progress in which she discusses how she feels she is not past her prime, and has been a panellist on ITV daytime chat show Loose Women.

Darragh Ennis' life away from The Chase with childhood sweetheart and second job
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info The Chase star Darragh Ennis, who is best known for his role as The Menace had originally been a contestant on the show back in 2016 before ITV producers invited him back to become a Chaser instead. Despite being the newest member of Bradley Walsh's Chaser army, Darragh is by no means a fresh face on the show, having made his formal debut back in 2020. Since then, he's made numerous appearances on the popular quiz programme and its spin-off show Beat The Chasers alongside co-stars Paul Sinha, Anne Hegerty, Mark Labbett, Jenny Ryan and Shaun Wallace, with very few proving to ever be triumphant against him. While the Irishman tends to keep closed lid on private affairs away from the series, he has in the past let slip on the show about personal matters, including his past job, co-star connection and childhood sweetheart wife. Darrah's TV debut Back in 2016, the Irish star appeared on the ITV programme as a player sporting long curly locks. He quickly impressed host Bradley Walsh and Chaser Paul Sinha, who hailed him as "very, very good" after he'd achieved £9,000 in the cash builder round. His exceptional performance later saw him invited back for a screen test in which he bagged the role of the newest Chaser, The Menace. In a past interview, he attributed his cool on-camera style for his success. Speaking to the Liverpool Echo previously, he reflected: "I did well on the quiz, but a lot of people do. I don't get stage fright. I don't get rattled by cameras or anything and a lot of people do. That can subtract a bit from how well their personality comes across. "So, because I had that advantage, maybe they just saw something and thought 'this fella is very relaxed on camera', which is a big part of the job. It's not just about knowing stuff. It's about being calm enough in the moment to recall everything quickly so I think just a combination of those things." Family life (Image: ITV) The TV star previously revealed that he studied at Maynooth University and that this is how he and his wife were first acquainted. Giving a brief glimpse into how they met, he told RSVP Live: "We did our degrees and PhDs there [Maynooth University]. We were in labs down the hall from each other and she's from Kildare." Darragh insists on keeping his private affairs out the spotlight, on the matter of privacy after being trolled online himself, the father-of-two told The Irish Mirror: "I have been keeping my family out of the limelight so my wife doesn't get involved, she doesn't want to. "And my children, I don't share photos of my children or anything like that. No one knows what my children look like or their names or anything like that." His Instagram profile instead is awash with pictures of bird feeders and the bee hives that are native to his Oxford home. Second job (Image: ITV) Darrah opted to maintain in his profession as a neuroscientist and entomologist alongside his commitments on The Chase. Opening up on his career, during his TV debut as a contestant back in 2016, he told Bradley Walsh: "I work in brain development and how insect brains grow and develop." Stunned, Brad asked: "How insect brains grow and develop?" As Darragh quipped: "Well we can't use people's brains so..." On a more recent episode, Darragh even revealed to the host that he would be "back in the lab on Monday," confirming that he was still in the industry despite his fame. Darragh's link to Paul Sinha before TV fame As a contestant on The Chase, Darragh also spilled that he and Paul Sinha shared a common connection before they were co-stars on the ITV show. When asked by host Bradley who he'd like to come up against, the Irishman firmly stated: "I'd like to play Paul because apparently he used to play in the quiz league that I used to play in." "You play in a quiz league?" gasped Brad as Darragh confirmed: "Yes a pub quiz," as Paul stepped out from behind the famous red doors to go head-to-head. The Chase airs weekdays on ITV1 at 5pm.
