Following the settlement, Lucasfilm issued a statement describing Carano as 'well respected by her directors, co-stars, and staff,' and expressed interest in 'identifying opportunities to work together' in the future.
Carano has been a polarizing figure, previously facing backlash for opposing mask mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic and for promoting false claims of voter fraud in the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
