BTS confirmed their long-awaited reunion during a July 1 Weverse livestream
BTS members V and Jungkook's ongoing defamation case against controversial YouTuber Sojang has taken a fresh turn, with the court now urging both parties to consider a possible settlement.
According to a July 3 report by Korean media outlet Star Today , the Seoul court has scheduled a court-mediated session between the parties, which may require the K-pop stars to appear in person.
The session, set for July 21 at 9:40 AM KST (6:10 AM IST), replaces the previously planned full trial. It aims to facilitate a mutual agreement, following a June 16 decision by a higher court to shift the case towards a settlement format. While it remains unclear whether V and Jungkook will be required to attend, reports suggest their personal presence may be necessary, unlike previous hearings.
The settlement session, directed by the court, is designed to help both sides reach a mutually acceptable resolution. Under Article 28 of the South Korean Civil Procedure Act, such a settlement, if agreed upon, would carry the same legal effect as a final court ruling.
This development comes months after Sojang, who runs the YouTube channel Taldeok Camp , was found guilty in February 2025 of uploading 23 defamatory videos between October 2021 and June 2023. The Seoul Western District Court's 12th Civil Division ordered her to pay 76 million KRW (approx. Rs 47 lakh) in damages.
Of this amount, V was awarded 10 million KRW (approx. Rs 6 lakh), Jungkook received 15 million KRW (approx Rs 9.3 lakh), and BTS' agency BIGHIT MUSIC was granted 51 million KRW (approx Rs 31 lakh). This figure was adjusted from the original 90 million (approx 56 lakh) KRW sought in the January 2025 lawsuit.
The legal update comes shortly after BTS confirmed their long-awaited reunion during a Weverse livestream on July 1.
As reported by the San Francisco Chronicle , the group's return marks the end of a hiatus lasting over three years, intensifying global excitement over what lies ahead for the band.

Bigg Boss 19 trailer: Salman Khan promises new season is going to be ‘demo-crazy': ‘Iss baar gharwalon ki sarkar'

Big Boss 19 trailer: Television sets across the country have found their bread and butter for the next five months, as actor Salman Khan has just released the new trailer for Bigg Boss 19. The beloved reality TV show will be returning for its 19th season, and it looks like Salman is ready to take a break from calling all the shots of the game. The host revealed that the format of the show is going to be changed, and the contestants are going to have more agency than ever in this new structure. In the trailer, Salman is seen getting out of a car, dressed like a politician, and he has an entourage with him. He walks into a hall that looks like an assembly room out of the parliament, with many extras sitting in front of desks with mics, also dressed like politicians. He announced, 'Aisa pehli baar hua hai, 18-19 saalon mai. Iss baar Bigg Boss ke ghar me drama crazy nahi, demo-crazy hone wala hai (This is something that is happening for the first time in 18 to 19 years. This time around, the Bigg Boss house won't have crazy drama, but demo-crazy).' ALSO READ | 'Who is Salman Khan?' A clueless Pamela Anderson charged Rs 2.5 cr for 3 days in Bigg Boss, said Indian clothes made her claustrophobic It's clear that the contestants of Bigg Boss 19 will have more autonomy than their predecessors, but they will have to answer to the public and the consequences of their actions. As hinted by the trailer, and Salman Khan's comment: Iss baar gharwalon ki sarkar (The members of the house will rule this time), it seems that the new season will try to mimic the structure of a country, and the contestants will work like a government, who can do anything they want, as long as they are ready to deal with the fallout. Bigg Boss 19 will premiere on August 24 and will be available on JioHotstar at 9 pm and Colors at 10:30 pm.

This 1982 film featured new actor, another superstar made cameo for first time, became blockbuster, earned Rs 100 crore, movie name is..., he is...

In the early 1980s, a modestly budgeted film emerged from Bollywood, defying expectations and reshaping the industry's landscape. Crafted with a budget of just Rs 2 crore, this film's meteoric rise to Rs 100 crore in global earnings was unprecedented. Its magnificent music, compelling narrative, and electrifying performances captivated audiences, marking a significant milestone in Indian cinema. Which film is this? Here we are talking about, 1982 film, Disco Dancer, directed by legendary Babbar Subhash and written by stalwart Late Rahi Masoom Raza. This musical drama introduced Mithun Chakraborty in the lead role of Jimmy, a street performer who ascends to stardom as a disco sensation. Mithun's dynamic portrayal, combined with Bappi Lahiri's memorable soundtrack, resonated deeply with viewers. Notably, the film also featured a cameo by veteran actor Late Rajesh Khanna, which actually contributed to the film's widespread appeal and its unbelievable success. What is the storyline? The film tells the story of Anil (later becomes Jimmy), talented street performer who overcomes tragedy and challenges to become a disco dance sensation. After losing his parents, he enters dance competitions, facing fierce rivals and personal struggles. The film stars Mithun Chakraborty as Anil, with Kim as his love interest, Roma and features Late Om Shivpuri as the main antagonist. Rajesh Khanna made a memorable cameo appearance. Known for its catchy music and energetic dance scenes, Disco Dancer became major hit and left lasting impact on Indian cinema. Why Rajesh Khanna's cameo in Disco Dancer became historical chapter in Indian Cinema? Rajesh Khanna's cameo in Disco Dancer became iconic because it symbolized a historic cinematic moment, India's first superstar sharing screen space, even briefly, with then-rising actor, Mithun Chakraborty. Though Khanna appeared only in a guest role, his presence added star value, credibility, and emotional weight to the film. At that time, Mithun was still establishing himself, and Khanna's association gave the film a unique blend of old and new Bollywood eras. While Disco Dancer achieved moderate success domestically, its true impact was felt internationally. In the Soviet Union, film became cultural phenomenon, selling over 12 crore tickets and grossing approximately Rs 94.28 crore. This overseas triumph propelled the film's total earnings beyond Rs 100 crore mark, making it first Indian movie to achieve such feat. The song 'Jimmy Jimmy' became an anthem, echoing across continents and solidifying the film's global legacy.
