WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has opened up about the extent of the injuries that forced him to miss his scheduled match against "El Grande Americano" Chad Gable at WrestleMania 41 earlier this year. He was removed from the card after suffering a groin injury during a six-man tag team match on the April 18, 2025, episode of SmackDown.
In a recent interview with Jim Varsallone, the 50-year-old lucha libre legend revealed he was dealing with more than just the publicly known groin issue.
Mysterio stated, "No, not easy (to stay on top in the wrestling industry). Obviously, with the amount of injuries that I've had over the years." He continued, "I'm actually recovering from one that I just had right before WrestleMania. A torn groin and a busted eardrum."
Despite these significant setbacks, Mysterio shared his love for performing. "I still love doing what I do. I definitely believe that I picked up my second wind when my son started to wrestle and he broke in for the first time," he shared.
"Although he's been around since he was seven years old when we had the storyline with Eddie Guerrero and the custody of Dominik (Mysterio)."
Mysterio further elaborated on what keeps him going. "But overall, the passion that I have for the sport. I wanna consider myself a peacemaker," he said.
"I don't have any problems, at least I don't think I do, with any of my colleagues, with my fans around the world. I like to connect and in some way, that keeps me pushing forward and loving what I've been doing for the past three, four years, or should I say from the age of four when I started training."

His connection with WWE fans remains a powerful motivator. "So, the connection is definitely still there, I enjoy doing it. I enjoy watching my son," Mysterio explained.

"It's a diversity of fans and to be able to travel around the world and connect with all these fans, at times, has been just amazing. The love and support that they show is like no other".
Following the injuries, Mysterio underwent surgery to repair a torn abductor muscle. It was also reported that WWE had to scrap a special entrance planned for him at WrestleMania 41 due to his forced withdrawal from the event, where Rey Fenix ultimately took his place against Gable. An exact timetable for Mysterio's return to WWE action is currently unknown as he continues his recovery.

Woman Gets Manicure—Doesn't Realize Small Detail That Changes Everything
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A woman thought she had got a natural color for her nails, until she realized they looked quite a bit different in the dark. TikTok user @gretchpetriehole shared a video on May 11 which has racked up more than 40,000 likes, as she showed the result of a recent trip to the salon for a manicure. "Got my nails done a nice, normal color," she told the camera, showing off the pale pink nails. "Very natural, very neutral." But, holding her hand out in front of her, she then walked into a dark room—and as soon as she closed the door, it became obvious the nails' natural look had vanished. Because, as soon as she entered the darkness, her nails began glowing brightly. "No one told me," she said as she showed off the glowing nails. "No one sat down and told me: 'We putting glow-in-the-dark nail polish on your hands.'" She added in a caption, however: "Perhaps trendy?" And it's clear that, to many of the more than 450,000 viewers who watched the clip, this was a trend they could get on board with. "Do you know the brand or color? I'm obsessed," one commenter wrote, as another admitted: "I hated them until you showed they glow. Now I love it." "This may be the child in me, but I would LOVE this," another said, while yet another declared: "This is something I had no idea existed and now I want it." Others in the comments shared similar stories, one parent recalling: "My kid had a surprise glow in the dark skeleton pajamas and I almost had a heart attack in the middle of the night when he walked up to me in the dark." "This happened to me a few weeks ago and I didn't realize until I went to bed and I thought a lightning bug was in my bed," another shared. In comments under the video, the woman said she was "not upset" and was now getting used to the glowing nails, to the point she was considering getting them again. TikTok @gretchpetriehole And to all those interested, she revealed the brand and color was Anthony Vince 202—having gone back to the nail salon to check, and realizing the nail swatch did, indeed, describe them as part of a "glow in the dark collection." Glow-in-the-dark products, from nails to toys and decorations, use phosphors to get their effect. Phosphor is a substance that emits light after being energized, and in the case of glow-in-the-dark objects, the phosphors are energized by light, including ultraviolet light, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). Meghan Markle Shares a Never-Before-Seen Birth Photo to Celebrate Lilibet's Fourth Birthday
Since she rejoined Instagram at the very start of this year, Meghan Markle (apologies, Sussex) has given her followers a rare and privileged glimpse into her closely guarded private life. Here she is running barefoot on the beach; paying tribute to her dearly departed beagle, Guy; at lunch with her husband, Prince Harry; baking cookies with her kids; and shimmying to 'Summer Renaissance' at a Beyoncé show. But now comes perhaps the most intimate insight of all: two family photos shared to mark her daughter Princess Lilibet's fourth birthday. Instagram content This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from. The first shows the young royal in her mother's arms, their hair blowing in the wind as they lie back on a boat, but the second is even more remarkable—a candid throwback shot of Lilibet as a newborn being cradled by Meghan. 'Happy birthday to our beautiful girl!' the duchess wrote in the caption. 'Four years ago today she came into our lives—and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!' Meghan sharing a birthday photo of her children is, of course, nothing new—just last month, she posted a similar tribute to Prince Archie on his sixth birthday, which showed her son looking out onto a golden sunset. But the birth photo feels even more personal and is, perhaps, an indication of the duchess's willingness to open up just that little bit more to her fans. In the run-up to the second season of her Netflix hit, With Love, Meghan, due to drop this fall, here's hoping for even more casual snapshots, at-home cooking videos and previously unseen baby pictures—and maybe even a brief cameo from the two kids in the series itself.

What time is Ginny and Georgia season 3 released in the UK on Netflix?
It's been more than two years since we last saw the chaotic and loveable mother daughter duo series Ginny and Georgia on our screens. We were left on that cliffhanger of Georgia being arrested for the murder of Cynthia's husband Tom, and it's safe to say we've spent a lot of the last two years worrying about Georgia's fate. What can we say? We care deeply about fictional characters ok. Thankfully the wait is now finally over, as season three of Ginny and Georgia will be landing on Netflix this week. As we saw from the trailer we know this season will cover Georgia's legal struggle as she tries to prove her innocence and takes part in her murder trial. The season is also expected to cover Ginny struggling with the attention she's getting at school because of her mum and we also see from the trailer Ginny fighting with her dad Zion, and friction between Georgia and new husband Paul. Ugh, we cannot wait 😍. But when and what time does the show arrive for season three on Netflix? Well here's all the important details you need to know, because let's be real, we're not doing anything once the show airs. There is less than 24 hours until Ginny and Georgia season three starts on Netflix. The new series will drop all 10 episodes on 5 June 2025. It makes a change from the show's usual winter release date, with season two being released in January 2023 and the first season back in February 2021. But clearly summer is a great time to watch a fictional murder trial. Don't bother staying up late to watch the new season of Ginny and Georgia in the UK, as the show doesn't land on the streamer until 8am BST on the morning of 5 June. Not based in the UK? Here's all the times the series lands on Netflix where you are on 5 June: So ready for this season. Ginny and Georgia arrives on Netflix on 5 June
