Bahrain is committed to supporting Arab solidarity and strengthening cooperation.
This was emphasised by His Excellency Yusuf Abdulla Alhumood, Undersecretary of Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, as he chaired the delegation of the Kingdom participating in the extraordinary ministerial session of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League in Cairo.
He noted that Bahrain's presidency of the 33rd Arab Summit, and its presidency of the 115th regular session of the Economic and Social Council at the ministerial level, underscores the Kingdom's commitment to reinforcing the structure of joint Arab action and advancing its objectives.
Marking the 80th anniversary of the Arab League, the Undersecretary commended its role in advancing joint Arab action and promoting unified positions through institutional frameworks that reflect the aspirations of Arab leaders and their peoples.
Strategic priorities
The ministerial session, chaired by Bahrain, addressed several strategic priorities related to the preparation of the economic and social file to be submitted to the 34th Arab League Summit.
Discussions also included preparations for the fifth session of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit.

His Majesty concluded by praying to Almighty Allah to accept the Hajj and devotions of the pilgrims, to grant them immense reward and forgiveness, and to return them safely to their homelands. He also prayed for the continued good health and long life of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and for the ongoing progress, prosperity, and security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under his wise leadership.
