Kuwaiti legend Al-Mutawa extends career with Al-Qadsia
Widely regarded as the most prominent figure in Kuwaiti football over the past two decades, Al-Mutawa remains a symbol of loyalty and excellence. Despite Al-Qadsia not securing any titles last season, Al-Mutawa left a noticeable impact with his performance and leadership on the pitch.
In a statement on its official 'X' platform, Al-Qadsia wrote:

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 7: Kuwait has been placed in Group F of the 2026 AFC U-17 Championship qualifiers alongside host nation Thailand, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, and the Maldives. The qualifiers will take place in a single-stage round-robin format from November 22 to 30, 2025, with all matches hosted by Thailand. The draw for the qualifiers was conducted at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This will be the 21st edition of the AFC U-17 Championship qualifiers, featuring 38 participating teams divided into seven groups—three groups with six teams and four groups with five teams each. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the final tournament, where they will join nine teams that have already secured automatic qualification by earning spots in the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar. The Yellows are also scheduled to play two additional friendlies against Saudi Arabia's Al-Faisaly and UAE's Al-Emarat on August 12 and 19, respectively. Al-Qadsiya is preparing for the new season's opener against Al-Nasr in the first round of the Zain Premier League, set to begin on September 12.
