Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce relationship takes center stage in new Chiefs doc after candid ‘New Heights' appearance

It was a September game day unlike any other in Chiefs Kingdom.
At least that's how some associated with the team recall that fateful day on Sept. 24, 2023, when pop superstar Taylor Swift made an internet-breaking appearance at Arrowhead Stadium to support her boyfriend, star tight end Travis Kelce, with the early days of their relationship taking center stage in episode three of the ESPN docuseries 'The Kingdom,' currently streaming on ESPN+.
'I remember [Chiefs president] Mark Donovan, on a Friday afternoon, called me and told me that Taylor Swift was going to be coming to the game,' Lara Krug, the Chiefs' chief marketing officer, said in the program. 'I remember getting off the phone and looking out the window, being like, 'Huh, that's a big deal.''

'Lara Krug walked into my office, closed the door and is like, 'Can I ask you a question?' And I'm like, 'Absolutely.' [She said], 'This isn't like normal, is it?' And I'm like, 'No, Lara, this is not normal,'' Donovan reflected.
When game day against the Bears officially arrived, Swift — who had been linked to Kelce in the summer of 2023 — was featured on the broadcast in a suite with the tight end's mom, Donna Kelce.

'We're like, 'Oh, my God, Travis pulled Taylor Swift,'' star defensive tackle Chris Jones said in the docuseries.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, whom Kelce told about Swift earlier in the week, was awestruck on the sidelines, telling his pal, 'That's the first person I noticed. I didn't see anybody else.'
Not long after the Chiefs took care of business with a resounding 41-10 victory, Swift and Kelce, both 35, exited the stadium together.

And, as they say, the rest is history.
Together for roughly two years, Swift has supported Kelce at Chiefs games across the past two seasons, including the team's Super Bowl triumph in 2024 and their crushing championship defeat this past February.
The 10-time Pro Bowler has also been there for Swift, joining her on the road at various stops during her blockbuster Eras Tour, which wrapped last December after a nearly two-year run.

This past week, the 14-time Grammy winner sent the internet into a tailspin once again when she appeared on Kelce's 'New Heights' podcast with his older brother, Eagles legend Jason Kelce, to announce her 12th studio album, 'The Life of a Showgirl.'
The album drops Oct. 3, weeks after Kelce kicks off his 13th season in the league.
The Chiefs open against the Chargers in Week 1, an international clash in São Paulo, Brazil on Sept. 5.

Giants' ‘Hard Knocks' season was so successful it ruined offseason version of series

The Giants broke 'Hard Knocks.' The 2024 offseason version of the longstanding HBO show followed Big Blue and offered up loads of viral moments that NFL Films now understands were too successful. 'When that one or two clips about [former Giants running back] Saquon [Barkley] got removed and isolated and blew up on social media, and as we've seen, have taken on a life of their own, that certainly gives people pause in the NFL and in every other walk of life about doing these sorts of shows,' Keith Cossrow, the head of content, told Sports Business Journal. 'It's funny, we all want to go viral, right? Not for the wrong reasons, but it's a measure of success in the world we live in today. But it can also go in directions that nobody can predict.' Among the more successful portions of the show — for NFL Films, at least — was Giants GM Joe Schoen's infamous phone call with Barkley as they attempted to keep him in New York, owner John Mara saying he'd 'have a tough time sleeping' if Barkley ended up with the Eagles (he famously did, and won a Super Bowl in his first season in Philadelphia) and the franchise's unsuccessful attempt to trade up for a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft. Giants GM Joe Schoen's infamous phone call with Saquon Barkley proved to be too successful. MAX The virality left the production company hungry for a follow-up. 'One of the best, and most interesting, and most surprising shows we've ever made,' Crossrow said. Therein lies the problem, however: the widespread broadcast of the Giants' missteps scared every other team away from participating in a 2025 version. The 2024 Draft saw the Giants attempt to trade up in order to draft a quarterback. Hard Knocks/HBO NFL Films seemingly tried to pivot to Bill Belichick's first season in the collegiate ranks with UNC, but that fell through in spectacular fashion. The training camp version of 'Hard Knocks,' featuring the Buffalo Bills, is in full swing, however.

Halsey abruptly cancels Istanbul show, leaving fans boiling over ruined travel plans: ‘So disappointed'

Halsey fans are not happy. The 'Ghost' singer, who uses 'she/they' pronouns, took to social media Thursday to announce that her Aug. 28 show in Istanbul, Turkey, has been canceled. 'I'm heartbroken to share that the show in Istanbul won't be happening,' Halsey, 30, whose real name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, wrote on her Instagram Story. 8 Halsey performs at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona, on May 12, 2025. Instagram/@halsey 'There were logistical limitations that presented themselves recently, making it impossible to move forward in a way that would deliver the show – and the safe, fun experience – you deserve,' the pop star continued. Despite being 'so excited' about the concert for months, the 'Without Me' singer and her team were forced to cancel the upcoming Istanbul performance after trying 'every option to give you the experience you deserve.' 'I love performing in Turkiye and it's very important to me to come back in the future and do it right,' Halsey ended her message. Getty Images for Halsey Fans quickly rushed to social media to express their disappointment about the canceled concert, especially after already paying for hotels and airfare. 'Canceling the Istanbul concert exactly two weeks before the show, when everyone had already bought their hotel and flight tickets, was one of the most unprofessional things you've done in your career,' one jilted fan wrote on X. 'You could have done a simple show and respect us.' 'For us is important to see you perform, even in a small venue with no light other than the iPhone flash, and also not to lose our money we paid on the plane tickets,' added another. 'You can't cancel a show 2 weeks ahead due to 'logistical limitations.'' 8 Halsey performing at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona, on May 12, 2025. However, others came to the 'Americana' star's defense and argued that the 'Graveyard' singer wouldn't have canceled the gig if it wasn't absolutely necessary. 'Halsey's fans don't deserve her. It's valid to be disappointed when a show is cancelled but h rarely cancels anything, and she stated they tried everything they could to make it work,' one fan tweeted. 8 The Grammy-nominated singer performing at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona, on May 12, 2025. 'Halsey has every right to want their art presented and experienced a certain way and if the show can't be done the way they want it done they have every right to cancel y'all are entitled as f–k,' commented another. The 'Manic' artist has faced several health woes in recent years. 8 The 'Manic' artist at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona, on May 12, 2025. 'I told myself I'm giving myself two more years to be sick,' the New Jersey native said in a video at the time. 'When I'm 30, I'm having a rebirth and I'm not going to be sick.' Halsey later revealed she was diagnosed with Lupus and a rare lymphoproliferative disorder.

That was a crazy couple hours for me and my phone. I was like, 'Oh, ok,' but yeah kinda cool.'
