Kerry release player four days after transfer over 'values and principles' issue
Kerry FC have released a player just four days after signing him, saying his 'values and principles didn't match the standards of the club.' Colin Healy's side announced the intriguing signing of Shane Maroodza on Friday, and the Zimbabwe international even started in their 3-0 loss to UCD. But in a shock announcement, Maroodza and goalkeeper Mathyas Randriamamy have been released by the club. In a short statement released on Tuesday evening, the club said: "Mathyas Randriamamy and Shane Maroodza have been released from Kerry FC. Unfortunately, their values and principles didn't match the standards of the club." Randriamamy came through the ranks at PSG and featured on their substitutes bench for a number of Champions League games. Kerry currently sit in ninth place of the First Division Table, having slumped in form and lost their last five league games. The club have been busy since the release of players, signing three players on Tuesday evening.
