Fears Brooklyn Beckham and model wife Nicole will snub David's 50th birthday dinner despite invite amid ‘feud'

The Sun02-05-2025
DAVID Beckham celebrated his 50th birthday wine-tasting in the South of France before jetting to Paris for the evening.
The star is hosting a lavish party tonight in London - although there are fears eldest son, Brooklyn, will NOT attend despite being in the capital.

Tellingly, the 36-year-old did not publicly post a 'happy birthday' message to his dad - the first time he has failed to do so.
However, Becks had an 'amazing' day with the rest of his family, as the clan hired a £40 million Brigadier Global 6000 private jet, spending the afternoon supping wines in a Bordeaux vineyard.
Wife Victoria paid tribute to him on Instagram with a montage of photos and a sweet clip of daughter Harper as a toddler, warbling 'There's only one David Beckham'.
A source added: 'David had the most incredible day, and felt truly spoilt.
'The immediate family flew out from Oxford, spent the afternoon supping wines - even Harper had a little sip - and then jetted to Paris in the evening for dinner at one of his favourite restaurants. Victoria went all out.
'It was pretty much a perfect day, although sadly Brooklyn was unable to make it.
'Tonight is the big London bash with his celeb pals, family and friends but although Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola, are invited - and are in town - they have yet to RSVP.
"There has been some contact between them though.
"So it's all very up in the air - there's certainly a lot of tension there right now, but David just wants to focus on the positives, and what will be will be.'
Yesterday, while Posh and Becks enjoyed their no expense spared French getaway, VB's mum, Jackie, was spotted doing an early recce of Notting Hill restaurant, Core, where tomorrow's dinner is taking place.

Around 40 guests - including Gordon and Tana Ramsay, Guy Ritchie, Tom Cruise and the couple's personal trainer, Bobby Rich, are expected to attend the three source, sit-down meal.
Head Chef Clare Smyth - previously named World's Best Female Chef - has designed a traditional, British-themed menu, celebrating sustainable, seasonal ingredients.
David's favourite wines, including three of the wines he tasted yesterday: Chateau Lafite Rothschild, Chateau La Grâce Dieu des Prieurs and Château Mouton Rothschild, will be served.
Victoria is expected to her favourite tipple: tequila.
After dinner, the ex-Man United midfielder will make a speech, paying warm tribute to both his parents, and Posh and the kids.

While Harper, 13, is not yet on social media, his middle two boys, Cruz and Romeo both took to Instagram to mark their dad's big day.
Singer Cruz wrote 'I love you so much dad' beside a arty photo whilst model Romeo revealed the birthday caught he'd bought him- a bespoke cartoon, taken from his Netflix documentary, poking fun of Becks' age.
However, Brooklyn - who double-barrelled his wife's surname when they married - was notably quiet in the wake of recent reported tensions.
Last night fans were quick to notice it, posting questioning comments on his Instagram profile.
Ironically, his last Insta post was an advert for a pasta company, in which he wrote: 'For me, pasta means family - and like Barilla, I love bringing everyone together for a shared meal around the table.'
Just whether Brooklyn joins the family around the table tonight, remains to be seen.

The Walking Dead's David Morrissey banned from driving after 'speeding three times in a week'

The Walking Dead star David Morrissey has been banned from driving after he was caught speeding three times in a single week. David, 61, was sentenced after he was caught driving his black Mini Countryman at 46mph in a 40mph zone on the A406 in north west London early in the morning on August 2 2024. Two days later, he drove 55mph and 48mph in 40mph zones on the A40 near Greenford on August 4 and 5. He wasn't at the hearing at Willesden Magistrates' Court on Tuesday and was given a £5,700 fine. "Morrissey should pay the full £1,500 costs for the trial last week included in the fine," prosecutor Maya Arputham said. David already had nine points on his licence and was given nine more, meaning he has an automatic ban from driving for half a year. He previously denied but was found guilty of three charges of excessive speeding. Conall Bailie, who represented the State of Play actor, said: "There will be no issue in Morrissey paying the fine. But the court costs are a significant amount. The trial was a matter that took up less than three hours of court time. It wasn't particularly lengthy." District Judge Jack Walsh replied: "The sum of £1,500 in court costs appears to me to be eminently reasonable. I have found all three offences proved. He is convicted of all three offences. He did not have a clean driving record. "The case he put to court was entirely illegitimate, and he had a chance to come to court and give evidence. A defendant who forces the prosecution to pay attention to such close detail to prove his case is likely to be liable to the full prosecution costs as a result of adopting that sort of approach to the case."

This beloved Bushwick boutique has transformed into a 'Golden Girls' wonderland for the show's 40th anniversary

It feels like only yesterday the world first met, fell in love and feasted on cheesecake with saucy Blanche Devereaux (Rue McClanahan), strong-willed Dorothy Zbornak (Bea Arthur), sweet Rose Nylund (Betty White) and sarcastic Sophia Petrillo (Estelle Getty). But, in fact, it's been 40 years since the classic sitcom debuted on NBC, spanning seven seasons from 1985 to 1992. And to celebrate the big 4-0 (don't worry Blanche, you don't look a day over 25), Brooklyn-based boutique Zero Waste Daniel has brought Miami Beach to Bushwick, transforming its flagship store (257 Varet Street) into a palm-filled dreamscape fit for our beloved foursome. Part fashion destination and part fan tribute, the Golden Girls-inspired store makeover will run through Wednesday, September 17—extended from August 17 by popular demand—and will bring the "energy of each of The Golden Girls to life with bold visuals, emotionally resonant design, and a deep well of references for fans to discover." That means an immersive shopping experience with pastel-hued interiors, banana-leaf wallpaper, retro lounge furniture, a shoppable thrift section (styled in homage to the girls' iconic looks) and vignettes inspired by fan-favorite moments from the series. On the clothes racks, you'll find the brand's limited-edition Golden Girls x Zero Waste Daniel capsule collection (which is available in store and online at the Zero Waste Daniel website), including signature items like 'St. Olaf 40' varsity jackets, cheesecake-covered sweatshirts, palm leaf-printed bomber jackets and cheeky graphic tees declaring "I'm a Blanche" and "I'm a Sophia," among others. 'The Golden Girls were a North Star to me growing up,' says designer and founder Daniel Silverstein, a.k.a. Zero Waste Daniel. 'They're funny, fearless, wildly fashionable, and they showed up for each other in ways that felt groundbreaking, teaching a lifelong lesson of what it means to be a chosen family. As a child, I felt the warmth of their love and friendship. As an adult, I can see clearly that they are trailblazers, tackling tough topics with heart and humor in ways that are poignant and still resonate today. To be entrusted with honoring their 40th anniversary is one of the greatest privileges of my career. This collection is a thank you for all the laughter, lessons and late-night cheesecake.'
