Nando's quietly axes side dish from restaurant menus nationwide

Nando's has confirmed that one of its "healthy" menu dishes has been permanently axed. The peri peri chicken chain quietly removed its Leafy Green Salad from its menus nationwide last October.
First introduced back in November 2023, the side dish consisted of mixed salad leaves, a sweet and herby vinegar dressing, extra virgin olive oil and toasted peri-peri seeds. Posting the news to Reddit, one fan of the dish said it "great to have a healthy option."
For those disappointed over the news, shouldn't worry as Nando's has replaced the side salad option on its menus. with a new dish this month. Those who want a lighter option can now get the Portuguese Tomato Salad. The new option - which will set you back £4.50 - consists of semi-dried, sweet baby and salad tomatoes, cucumber moons, and pink pickled onions in a light salad dressing.
Nando's has not confirmed whether the new salad dish will become a permanent fixture on its menu, however, it says it "hopes" the new salad will be "evergreen".
Salad lovers will not miss out at Nando's as it has also added two salad dishes to its menu this month. The first is a return of a beloved fan favourite - the Mediterranean Salad.
First introduced to menus back in 2019 and currently costing £9.25, the dish consists of a medley of semi-dried and sweet baby tomatoes, olives, feta, cucumber moons and pink pickled onions on a bed of mixed leaves, with Rozendal vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. The PERI-PERI chain has confirmed that this options will not be sticking around saying "it's here for a good time, not a long time.'
The second salad on Nando's menu is the Caesar Salad also priced at £9.25. Introduced on May 14, it consists of crunchy cos lettuce with a rich, creamy dressing topped with grated Italian hard cheese and herby toasted croutons. Again, this salad will not be on the menu for long.
On the menu changes, a Nando's spokesperson said: 'We regularly make updates to our menus and introduce new ingredients and flavours which our fans love. Leafy Green Salad came off the menu in October, but alternative salad options and sides are available.'
These are not the only new items on the Nando's menu. Alongside the new salads, Nando's has introduced a new veggie burger called "The Big Cheese" which will set you back £9.25 on its own or £15.50 with sides.
The dish features grilled halloumi, red pepper and pineapple salsa, sliced avocado, and Churrasco PERinaise, served in a soft Portuguese roll. Fans of Nando's can also try "Summer Grains" and its "Charred corn".
Costing £4.25, Nando's Summer Grains features mixed grains with green chickpeas and dried apricots in lemon and oil, drizzled with a yoghurt dressing. For the second, customers can get charred smoky sweetcorn in a creamy, garlic sauce topped with spring onions and PERi-Salt for £5.
The peri peri restaurant has also introduced a brand new dip costing £1.25, which it says will be loved by fans of its Halloumi Sticks.

Tesco shoppers 'devastated' as supermarket discontinues popular snack nationwide

The packaging described the product as being "packed with flavour". Fans of the product have recently taken to social media as they were unable to find the product in their local Tesco stores. Writing in a Reddit thread one shopper said: "These are my go to quick food and my local Tesco has none on the shelf and they've disappeared off of the website too. I'll be gutted if they've discontinued them." Another person responded, confirming that the product had been axed in their local Tesco store just last month. In response, the original poster said: "That sucks. I really struggle to find noodles like this I enjoy, and these are the only ones I've found recently." Another suggested that Tesco might be adjusting the recipe or designing new packaging for the product. They added: "I've noticed it's been happening to a lot of Tesco products recently." 'Entitled mother-in-law tried on my wedding dress and now I need a new one'
A woman has slammed her mother-in-law for trying on her wedding dress and stretching it out so much that she now needs to buy a new one - but others say this is only the start of her issues A woman has been urged to postpone her wedding after her fiancé allowed his mum and sister to play dress up in her gown, stretching it out in the process. The 26-year-old explained how she has been engaged to her partner for four months and has been excitedly planning her wedding to him for October. She recently went dress shopping with her mum and fell in love with a gown, which she has now taken home after alterations. However, it seems she'll have to start this process all over again as her future mother and sister-in-law have "ruined" her dress. She said on Reddit: "My future mother in law kept annoying me and sending me suggestions for choosing the right wedding dress, and said that she knew better and tried to get me to approve of wedding dresses that she chose. "When she couldn't enforce her decision she demanded that I take her with me to buy my wedding dress so she could have an opinion. "Before I went shopping I called her to ask if she wanted to come but started making excuses about how busy she was with my sister in law. "I went shopping with my mum and I was able to find a really nice dress although it cost me a little over what I saved up for, but it was worth it. "I made some changes to it and it was perfect, it arrived to my apartment at the end of the week, I made sure it was stored in a safe place so it doesn't get ruined." But when she returned home from her mum's house one day, she noticed her partner and her wedding dress were missing. Putting two and two together, she assumed he'd likely taken her gown to his mum's house because she wanted to see it in person before the big day. Annoyed, she confronted him about this. She added: "I was so mad when it was confirmed that my fiancé took it to show it to his mum. "He said he was gonna be home in 30 minutes after he went to the supermarket I waited for longer than I had to and then when he arrived I ran to get my dress that was buried underneath grocery bags. "I took it to check on it and it's zipper was broken and the dress itself (fabric) was stretched out, I was like what the fuck happened to it, my mother in law must've tried it on, because it looked ruined. "The straps were almost loose, I had to call my mother-in-law when my fiancé told me his mom and sister took turns to try it on, I was absolutely livid, she told me she did nothing wrong and that I was making a big deal out of it." Her future mother-in-law said she'd ay to replace the broken zipper - but the bride-to-be said this wasn't good enough and demanded an entire new dress. He said: "I told her to pay for a new dress since it was stretched out and no longer fitting, she refused and said that I probably wasn't happy with my dress choice and wanted to her to pay so I could get a new one. "I yelled at her for trying it on and ruining it, that she and my fiancé were responsible for ruining my dress so they should pay for a new one, It's done, no longer fitting, the straps are in a horrible condition. "My mum said she'd pay for fixing it but I just hate it now that someone else wore it before me." Wanting to know whether she's in the wrong, she has taken to social media to ask users for their thoughts. In response, one user said: "Girl do you hear yourself? Your fiancé took your wedding dress without permission and allowed multiple people to try it on! "Do you understand how disrespectful and inappropriate that is? You not only have a bad mother in law problem, you have a huge fiancé problem. Needless to say, id be doing more than postponing." Another user added: "Don't marry him. You will always be second best to his mother and sister. What normal person tries on their future daughter in law /sister in laws wedding dress. "What's worse he took it round to their place so they could do that. Read the mother in law from hell stories and then run away far and fast."
