Drake Left A Puzzling Message On Justin Bieber's Instagram — And Fans Have Thoughts
In his recent song 'Nokia,' Drake asked, 'Who's callin' my phone?' And it's safe to say that Justin Bieber isn't currently on the other end.
The two artists, who've collaborated on several tracks — such as the 2012 song 'Right Here' and the 2019 'One Dance' on the remix — haven't worked together in some time. But it seems Drake, born Aubrey Drake Graham, is eager to change that.
On Sunday, Bieber shared a carousel of images on Instagram, calling for anyone interested in collaborating to send him a direct message.
Since DMs are allegedly the new way in which artists communicate, a host of notable celebrities responded including rapper Big Sean and singer Kehlani. But one response in particular caught people's attention: Drake.
Presuming patience isn't a virtue for the Canadian rapper, he responded with the comment: 'I DM'd no reply.'
Social media users quickly took notice, and reactions were mixed. In a screenshot of the comment, posted on X, formerly Twitter, users weighed in on the possibility of a collaboration.
One user wrote, 'Oh we boutta get a summer hit,' while another responded, 'I need this so bad.'
Not everyone was on board with Drake making Bieber's hotline bling, with one user stating, 'Weird ass behavior by Aubrey ngl.'
'Bro loves to embarrass himself for a living,' wrote another on X.
But it seems the artist, affectionately known as Drizzy, has stepped out of 'Marvin's Room' and into the world of cryptic Instagram posts. On March 10, the rapper posted an obscure message on Instagram describing his next chapter in his career.
'U know I grew up non confrontational and always treated this game as a sport where my pen won gold, but my these days the podium has been hard for all of us to ignore,' he wrote. 'I understand that this next chapter may leave you feeling uneasy, but I hope you see my honesty as clarity not charity that answers some questions especially about the unanswered texts you've been sending me.'
