Khushi Kapoor accepts going under the knife, says ‘I was not born like this': ‘People are just afraid to admit it'
While talking to TOI, she was asked about her views were on the artificial enhancement of one's looks, and the actor admitted that she herself has been under the knife and people should have the right to choose whatever they want. She talked about changing her looks and how she has always tried to be honest and open about whatever she is getting done. While some might think that a medical procedure is very personal, Khushi believes that celebrities need to acknowledge the amount of young and impressionable fans that look up to them, and hence they should be honest in order to avoid creating unrealistic beauty standards.

She admitted that being a celebrity comes with many banes, as people choose to judge someone in the public light no matter what they do. Khushi added that the people who question her decisions to undergo cosmetic treatment would have judged her regardless of her decision. The 24-year-old stated that there is no real way to win in these kinds of discussions, so to have peace of mind, one should own up to their decision and worry less about what people will say. In a previous interview with CurlyTales, the actor had talked about the same topic and shared her opinion about taking certain decisions about her looks.
The Loveyapa actor said, 'I don't think it's such a big deal. The main issue is that people are scared that they will get hate if they come out and admit it. People think that the term 'plastic' is the biggest insult you can give someone, but I don't think it's bad if someone gets work done and stuff like that.' She again doubled up on the importance of being honest about your looks and said that getting work done and lying about it is 'unfair to younger girls who look up to you, because then they think, 'Oh, I don't look like that; why can't I?'
The debate around cosmetic treatments and anti-ageing health supplements gained momentum recently after the death of actor Shefali Jariwala. According to police reports, Shefali was using anti-ageing medication and therapies, something which is still being investigated as a potential reason for her demise.

Didi recalls Nazrul poem on Tagore's passing
Kolkata: CM Mamata Banerjee chose Rakhi Purnima on Saturday — a day after Tagore's death anniversary — to post a poem by Kazi Nazrul Islam mourning Gurudev's passing in 1941. Political experts said the timing of the post was important, coming at a time when Bengal's migrant workers are being harassed in various BJP-governed states and NRC notices are being issued to people residing in Bengal. The post is an attempt to showcase how Bengal can rise above divisions and unite for its icons and its people through mutual respect, they said. "I wrote on social media that Rabindranath Tagore is our constant companion. We remember and celebrate him throughout the year, day and night. A little while ago, I was listening to Nazrul's poem, mourning Rabindranath's passing in 1941. It was broadcast on radio and is titled 'Rabihara'. It is a later version adorned with various images," Banerjee wrote on X. Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam — the remarkable relationship between these two extraordinary figures of Bengal. I felt like sharing this invaluable memory with all of you," she added. This post, in Bengali, came a few minutes after Banerjee posted Tagore's words to usher in the rakhi festival. She also quoted Tagore's song 'Banglar Mati, Banglar Jol'.
