MSU target, 4-star edge rusher Tyson Harley commits to Penn State over Spartans
Four-star edge rusher Tyson Harley announced his commitment to Penn State on Saturday. The Nittany Lions beat out Michigan State, Maryland, Rutgers and Virginia Tech for the notable commitment from Harley.
Harley is a four-star prospect with a recruiting rating of 89.71 in 247Sports' composite system. Harley ranks as the No. 33 edge rusher and No. 349 player in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2026 class. He is also ranked as the No. 2 player from Washington, D.C.
Harley would have been a massive get for the Spartans but there's no shame in losing out on a high-end east coast prospect to Penn State. Still, this was a big recruiting battle with a program at a level that Michigan State is striving to reach, so they'll eventually need to win this kind of recruiting battle to get to that level.

Here we go! Five-star LB Tyler Atkinson commits to Texas
The Longhorns have just gotten one of the best players in the nation. After being projected to land him on Monday night, five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson has committed to Texas over Georgia, Clemson, and Oregon. Atkinson is the No. 9 player in the nation and the No. 1 linebacker according to Rivals industry rankings. The Grayson High School star is the No. 1 prospect in the state of Georgia as well. Advertisement Texas has now moved up to the No. 8 recruiting class in the country. Also, Atkinson is now the second highest-ranked commitment for the Longhorns, just a few spots behind five-star quarterback Dia Bell, who is now the No. 1 QB in the nation. It's been a very productive haul for Texas on the defensive side of the ball for the 2026 cycle. Some of the other notable additions are four-star cornerback Samari Matthews, five-star edge Richard Wesley, four-star defensive lineman Vodney Cleveland, four-star defensive lineman Dylan Berymon, and even ATH Jermaine Bishop is expected to play some cornerback. And this all comes after several heartbreaking recruiting losses over the past couple of weeks. Texas had the No. 1 class in 2025. Previewing the 2025 season for Texas A&M WR Ashton Bethel-Roman with his player profile
As we gear up for the 2025 football season, Aggies Wire is breaking down every player on the Texas A&M roster. Besides KC Concepcion, the wide receiver room features a wealth of youthful talent. One standout who flashed potential is second-year Houston native Ashton Bethel-Roman. Much like his freshman counterpart Izaiah Williams, Bethel-Roman saw limited action, appearing in only four games. His strong junior season included an average of 24.1 yards per catch and a third-round playoff appearance. Based on speed alone, sources have stated that Bethel-Romas has run as fast as a 4.3 40-yard dash.
