Uniqlo's 'perfect' £24.90 midi dress is 'great for warmer days'

Uniqlo shoppers have dubbed the "beautiful" midi dress a "summer staple"
Uniqlo shoppers are heaping praise on a "beautiful" midi dress they've been snapping up online. The retailer is well known for it's on-trend and affordable fashion - and there may be a new summer favourite.
The AIRism Cotton T-Shirt Dress, which is priced at £24.90, comes in a range of colours including black, pink, light orange, natural, olive and navy. It is available in sizes XXS to XL.
The dress features 'AIRism' fabric with the look of cotton, a "comfortable, relaxed cut", side pockets and a ribbed, crew neckline. According to the brand, the longer sleeves and length "add a touch of cool style in the one piece that completes your look."
For those still searching for the perfect summer dress, H&M is stocking the smocked strappy dress for £12.75 (down from £14.99). New Look also has the Cream Floral Print Frill Sleeve Midi Dress for £37.99, while River Island has the £69 Khaki Short Sleeve Cutwork Midi Dress.
The Uniqlo dress has proven popular online, having racked up a 4.7 star rating. Among the reviews, one person said: "Perfect dress. This basic dress is so comfy and suitable for any occasion."
A second wrote: "Excellent as a lounge dress, very comfortable and good for warmer weather." A third added: " Light and flowy. Thinner than the traditional cotton t-shirts. Very light and very comfortable to wear."
However, one shopper claimed the colour of their dress was different on arrival. They said: I bought the dress in colour pink, but it is nothing like in the pictures. It is actually brown, a lot darker. Like the dress otherwise, but the colour is just ugly."
Most of the reviews were positive, with one shopper writing: "Beautiful dress. This fits perfectly—I'm a size medium, and it hugs just right. I absolutely love the material; it's incredibly soft and flexible thanks to the cotton and elastic blend. Super comfortable and flattering. I definitely recommend it!"
A second added: "Summer staple. I already have some items in the Airism material, so I was keen to try the T-shirt dress. It is a lovely, flattering fit on the top and flares out nicely. I'm petite so it is a maxi length on me and I think it will be great for work or casual wear too. The Airism material hangs so well and it's great for those warmer days. Very happy with this purchase and also bought it in black."
Others claimed the sizing was off with the product, writing: "I am 5'2" and after filling in my weight, height, age, preferred fit, etc., I went for the size you recommend for me - XL - and I was completely swamped...I am sorry about the fit of the dress because it should have been easy to wear and suitable for many occasions, instead it is going back and I shall ignore your "recommended size" in future."
Despite this, some shoppers said they'd be wearing it no matter the season. One person wrote: " Beautiful shape! I am so impressed with the quality and price of this product. I bought it in the gorgeous olive green colour. The shape is a gently a-line with pockets and its a rich cotton fabric. I'm going to wear now with a jumper and live in it in the summer!"

Simple M&S wedding guest dress that's less than £50 had my friends shocked over where it's from

Simple M&S wedding guest dress that's less than £50 had my friends shocked over where it's from Fashion writer Eve Rowlands wore a simple black dress to a wedding recently and, with its bubble hem, elegant high neck and open back, friends couldn't believe it was from Marks and Spencer Fashion writer Eve Rowlands wore the M&S dress to a recent wedding and received many compliments For those who are at that age where it seems everyone they know is getting married, we're in the thick of wedding season. Personally, I have eight this year, and so naturally, in a bid to find one or two new dresses (to wear on rotation), I found myself scouring the shops for the ideal wedding guest dress. Now this dress had to be versatile enough for numerous occasions, yet sleek enough for a wedding, and comfortable during the warmer months, all while maintaining an air of sophistication. And on a recent visit to my local M&S (Culverhouse Cross), I stumbled upon a dress that, despite its simplicity, took my breath away - and is less than £50. This black number was a somewhat last-minute buy for my third wedding of the season, but it proved to be a wise choice as it garnered plenty of compliments - and my friends were gobsmacked to learn it was from M&S. Priced at £49.50, the Pure Cotton Bubble Hem Midaxi Dress is a classic and simple - yet effective - design. One that may seem unremarkable on the hanger, it truly comes to life when worn. Its bold hue is striking, and its high neckline and drop-waist design allow for a plethora of accessory options. However, its silhouette, which has a hint of volume at the bottom, is the real showstopper, in my view, reports Chronicle Live. The gathered skirt features a bubble hem at the bottom, adding a delightful fullness and significant swish. An added perk is the concealed pockets - a practical feature for touching up my lippy throughout the day. Moreover, the pockets are cleverly hidden within the skirt's volume, ensuring they don't look bulky (unless overfilled...). The dress's bodice is fitted and sleeveless, and it gracefully contours the stomach area, giving a smooth and flattering finish (covering up any lumps and bumps along the way). It also incorporates darts for a structured shape and added support. The rear of the dress features a gorgeous cut-out detail, adding style while providing ample ventilation during hot weather. Crucially, the opening finishes just above the bra-line, meaning I could wear a bra without the straps being visible. Available in three different lengths, the dress accommodates a variety of body shapes and sizes, ranging from size 6 to 24. However, one tip is that it tends to run slightly small - a fact I discovered alongside other shoppers - so opting for a larger size may be a bit more comfortable. The Pure Cotton Bubble Hem Midaxi Dress costs £49.50 from Marks & Spencer (Image: Marks and Spencer ) Once I discovered my perfect size, I can vouch for its performance: it's comfortable while dancing, eating, sitting and strutting around all day. The dress also includes a lining which ensures it hangs well and feels comfortable due to its 100% cotton composition without allowing dreaded overheating. This breathable fabric proved particularly effective in warm weather, keeping me cool and dry. I recently donned this stunning dress to a black tie event, complementing it with bold red accessories like pointed court shoes and a charming red rose adorned £15 handbag from Amazon among other items. The dress was a hit. But with the right pieces, it also lends itself well to a more relaxed vibe, perfectly paired with my adored Blaire Dr Martens sandals and a denim jacket for casual days out. For those who are fond of bubble skirts yet prefer something with more of a relaxed feel, the Albaray Black Puffball Dress, retailing at £89, is has a comfy scoop neckline and ribbed jersey on the upper half. Another great option is the Nancy Bubble Hem Midi Dress by Nobody's Child, currently a bargain at £59.50 in the sale, down from the usual price tag of £85. As for the M&S dress, I'm not the only one who fell head over heels for it. With a 4.2-star rating from 19 reviews, it's been well received amongst fashion fans. One person wrote: "Couldn't resist this dress despite having to try on several sizes before finding the best fit (it's on the small side). The design quality becomes apparent once on with a drop waist, great if you are tall and long in the body, and the bubble hem. It's also nicely lined, and the cut-out back still enables you to wear a bra. Please continue to provide such design quality, please, M&S." Someone else raved: "Absolutely love this dress! Super cool look. Love it!!" A third remarked: "I honestly felt beautiful in it as it really flattered my figure. It's a modest yet elegantly casual dress I feel I could wear both casually and formally." Another echoed: "Stunning dress with a beautiful skirt shape and flattering bodice. Fresh summer weight cotton." Article continues below The main gripe amongst shoppers was the sizing issue, but once sized up, for many it was the perfect fit. The Pure Cotton Bubble Hem Midaxi Dress can be found in Marks and Spencer for £49.50.

M&S shoppers race to buy £35 ‘slimming' butter yellow summer dress that ‘hides lumps and bumps' and ‘doesn't crease'

MARKS & SPENCER is finally back in action, and fashion fans have been rushing to pick up the retailer's new £35 summer dress. The textured midi dress (which comes in the colour of the season) has been praised by shoppers for its flattering fit that "hides lumps and bumps". M&S Textured V-Neck Midi Column Dress, £35 Featuring a fitted silhouette with breathable textured material and airy short sleeves, the butter yellow number is perfect for summer. The M&S V-Neck Column Dress is finished with a knot design at the front, giving a stylish twist on a staple piece. It comes in butter yellow and black colourways, with regular, petite and tall sizes available — although several sizes have already sold out. The wearable style could be dressed up or down for most occasions, and it would look great teamed with sandals and sunglasses for a comfortable holiday outfit. As the textured design gives a dressy feel, it would also pair well with heels and chunky gold jewellery for a summer evening look. The high-street dress has received rave reviews from Marks & Spencer shoppers, with a 4.6-out-of-5 star rating. One customer wrote: "Excellent dress that skims the body to create a slimming effect. The textured material is good quality and it washes well, no ironing required as it always looks as good as new. It's true to size as well, more colours and styles please." Another added: "I purchased the yellow colour in store, and liked it that much that I ordered the black when it came back in stock as it's so flattering. M&S Textured V-Neck Midi Column Dress, £35 It's so curve enhancing and it's not too short, plus no lumps and bumps are shown. The material is thin but soft, and it isn't see through. It's so great for summer." Marks & Spencer gave an update earlier on its cyber attack this week, confirming that the retailer is accepting orders again for the first time since the attack in April. Shoppers are now able to order online again, but the retailer has warned that deliveries may take up to 10 days. If you don't know where to begin with your online order, Fashion Editor Abby McHale has handpicked the M&S pieces worth adding to your basket before they sell out. M&S' £35 midi dress isn't the only butter yellow piece causing a stir, as Sainsbury's shoppers have been racing to pick up a similar version from the supermarket. The £28 summer dress has been praised for hiding mum tum, with its relaxed cut and flattering puffed sleeves. It also has a stylish gingham print that's perfect for summer.

H&M x Palm Heights is the hottest homeware collaboration for summer - and it's selling out fast

From the white glove service to the crisp cotton bedding – there's plenty to marvel over when you're staying in a boutique hotel. Top of the list, at least for me, is the carefully-curated décor. I'll spend a good amount of time on holiday thinking about how I can bring the five-star vibe into my flat in London. The only problem? I have neither an interior designer on speed dial, nor the budget for high-end homeware. Well, it looks like I've run out of excuses because H&M Home has teamed up with Palm Heights, the Caribbean boutique hotel on Grand Cayman Island. With its palm-lined pool, bright yellow parasols and striped beach towels, the hotel, which was founded and designed by New York-based Creative Director Gabriella Khalil, has interiors you'll fantasise about long after you've come home from your trip. The 23-piece collection, which launched online and in-store today, evokes the sun-drenched spirit of the beachfront hangout without the need to dip into your savings. There are cotton beach towels and robes in rich tones of yellow and brown; sandstone sculptural vases, bowls and candle holders; playful additions such as a beach tennis kit and backgammon set; and coloured tumblers and glasses that will instantly elevate your summer tablescape. Prices, as you'd expect from H&M Home, are reasonable, ranging between £14.99 for a decorative bowl and £99.99 for a robe. 'This collection is about capturing that magical feeling of being on holiday in your home: that could be a relaxing, beautiful moment in your bathroom feeling fantastic in your robe, or having guests come over and creating memories around a table with special glassware,' says Khalil. 'While Palm Heights is a highly visual and chic space, there is also a real playfulness about it at the same time and the mix of both these worlds would be my ideal for people to take away from the collection.'
