Correa hits a 2-run homer in the 10th in the Twins' 12-6 comeback victory over the Mariners
SEATTLE (AP) — Carlos Correa hit a two-run home run in the 10th inning and the Minnesota Twins overcame a three-run deficit to beat the Mariners 12-6 on Friday night.
Correa pounced on a first-pitch sinker from reliever Casey Legumina (4-3), sending it into the seats in left field. The Twins scored four more runs to cap off the victory.
Mariners closer Andres Munoz, who had yet to give up an earned run this season, saw that accomplishment go by the wayside when Willi Castro hit a two-run home run. Trevor Larnach then tied it with an RBI single.
The late Minnesota charge overshadowed a spectacular evening from Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh. With a pair of home runs that upped his season total to 21, Raleigh became the first catcher in major league history to reach at least 20 home runs before the end of May.
Unfortunately for Seattle, Raleigh's two and three-run home runs were not enough to stymie a Minnesota comeback and keep Twins reliever Jhoan Duran (4-1) from getting the victory.
Prior to Larnach's tying single, outfielder Byron Buxton — who was reinstated from the concussion list prior to the game — stole second base. By moving into scoring position with two outs, Buxton was able to score with ease on Larnach's hit.

Veronica Burton hit three 3-pointers and finished with 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting for Golden State. Kate Martin added 14 points and Kayla Thornton had 11.

(AP) — Logan Maxwell drove in three with a pair of home runs and Justin Thomas Jr. delivered a three-run shot to back a 13-strikeout performance from starter Gage Wood as No. 3 overall seed Arkansas beat Creighton 8-3 on Sunday to win the Fayetteville Regional and earn a berth in the super regionals. Wood (3-1) allowed three hits in six innings and two of them came in the fourth inning after he struck out the first two batters. Teddy Deters singled before Wood hit Will MacLean with a pitch. Ben North homered on the next pitch to get Creighton within 6-3. Maxwell homered to left field off starter Garrett Langrell (7-2) for a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Thomas homered to center in the second for a 5-0 lead and Ryder Helfrick added a solo shot in the third. Maxwell homered leading off the fifth and Charles Davalan added an RBI triple in the sixth to cap the scoring. Gabe Gaeckle allowed two hits in three shutout innings for his first save. The Razorbacks (46-13) — making their 36th appearance in the NCAA Tournament — have advanced to the College World Series 11 times but never won it. They were runners-up in 1979 and 2018. Ryan Yarbrough limited baseball's best offense to four hits over six innings, Ben Rice hit a tiebreaking two-run homer and the New York Yankees defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-3 on Sunday to avoid getting swept for the first time this season. The Dodgers outscored the Yankees 26-7 in winning the first two games of their World Series rematch, including an 18-2 rout Saturday. But right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto, the stalwart on a staff ravaged by injuries, labored from the start in front of 54,031, the largest crowd of the season at Dodger Stadium. Yarbrough (3-0) allowed one run and struck out five in his fifth start of the year. He was a reliever for the Dodgers last season and received his World Series ring while in town. Yamamoto (6-4) gave up a season-high seven hits while striking out two in 3 2/3 innings, both season lows. The Japanese right-hander permitted four runs and walked three.
