Player rejects Orlando Pirates for Kaizer Chiefs!

Kaizer Chiefs are rumoured to be on the verge of welcoming two players from arch rivals Orlando Pirates this window.
Chiefs have been linked with moves for Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako who have just been released by Pirates.
The 31-year-old Mako would be arriving from arch nemesis Pirates with a wealth of know-how. This after playing continental football and winning six trophies while with the Buccaneers. He would also come in as a potential starter, solving the left-back issue at Amakhosi. It is thought that his deal to join Chiefs has reached its advanced stages.
Now while the news of Pirates releasing Mako came as a shock, him being linked with Chiefs was a bigger shock. That due to how instrumental he had become for the Buccaneers under coach Jose Riveiro. But nonetheless, it has since been revealed by KickOff.com that the club offered him a new deal but he chose to cross the floor to Naturena instead!
'Pirates did everything to keep Mako, but the player had already made up his mind. Pirates were keen to extend his stay at the club but believed (he had) already agreed terms with Kaizer Chiefs after the Nedbank Cup final in Durban. There were even bigger plans to keep Mako beyond his playing days at Pirates, but the player had already made up his mind to go to Kaizer Chiefs,' said a source thought to be within the Buccaneers ship.
Mako leaves Pirates where he had become first choice left-back towards the end to compete at Chiefs. He will have the likes of Bradley Cross to deal with. This as the future remains unclear over Edmilson Dove, Bongani Sam and Happy Mashiane.

Kaizer Chiefs likely to offload Ntwari, search for top 'keeper underway

Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly set to part ways with Rwanda No.1 goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari ahead of next season. Ntwari joined Amakhosi as one of their marquee signings from TS Galaxy at the start of last season. However, he's struggled to adapt to life af Naturena so much so that he ended up being relegated to the bench. At the time, Ntwari had featured seven times across all competitions for Chiefs and conceded a whopping 11 goals. Now, according to UnplayableZA sources, Chiefs are likely to release Ntwari from his contract. Amakhosi signed Ntwari as a replacement for Itumeleng Khune who has since revealed he rejected a non-playing position from Chiefs. The Glamour Boys have reportedly set their sights on Sekhukhune United goalkeeper Renaldo Leaner as well as Yanga SC shot-stopper Djigui Diarra. Coach Hugo Broos: 'No sign of another Themba Zwane but Sinoxolo Kwayiba looks the part'

Sinoxolo Kwayiba Orlando Pirates-linked Sinoxolo Kwayiba has revealed his desire to play for one of the Premier Soccer League's big three clubs. The Chippa United midfielder is about to make a breakthrough. Now that the dust has settled on Bafana Bafana's international friendlies against Tanzania and Mozambique, national team coach Hugo Broos remains candid in his assessment of his squad's capabilities, particularly regarding the search for a player who can match the unique skill set of Themba Zwane. The 35-year-old Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Zwane is currently participating in the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA, leaving a notable void in the national squad that has yet to be filled. Speaking on the challenges of finding a successor to Zwane, Broos remarked: 'I must be honest and say that until now, we didn't find the second Themba, that type of player. But maybe we can solve it in another way, and that's something we wanted to see also in those two games." While singing Zwane's praises, Broos highlighted the potential of rising star Sinoxolo Kwayiba, the Chippa United midfielder. The 25-year-old Kwayiba came off the bench against Tanzania and started in the subsequent match against Mozambique, where he left a mark by scoring and earning the 'Player of the Match' accolade in the team's impressive 2-0 win.

'Let's not rule out a move to Orlando Pirates'

Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau has been heavily linked to Kaizer Chiefs; however, he is not ruling out a possible move to rivals Orlando Pirates. The 31-year-old has been a free agent since parting ways with Qatar SC after just five months. Before his move to the Middle East, he spent four years with Al Ahly, winning several titles. Speaking to Robert Marawa on Radio 94.7 , Tau revealed that he would accept a salary of R450,000 a month from Chiefs. Tau said he would look at an offer from Chiefs if the club decided to contact him, but the Bafana star also mentioned his interest in returning to Mamelodi Sundowns 'If that situation were to happen [to receive an offer from Chiefs], I would pay attention to it,' he admitted. 'But there are still other clubs in the PSL. I mean, I played for Sundowns, so I cannot write them off. It's a team that I played for, I won, and I've got so much love for the team and the fans. If Sundowns were not to offer me a contract and Chiefs does, then it won't be my fault but theirs that I've gone to join Chiefs.' Although Orlando Pirates have not tabled an offer for Percy Tau, the Witbank-born attacker said he was open to joining the Buccaneers. 'But I'll listen to anybody, so let's not rule out Orlando Pirates or even Stellenbosch FC, SuperSport United. I will not rule out anyone. My decision will be based on who gives me a contract because at the end of the day, I still have to support my family,' Tau said.
