As has now become the norm, the coveted competition kicks-off in mid-July.
That means an early start to the campaign for several of the Scottish Premiership's big hitters.
The five top flight clubs playing in Europe won't enter until the next round, but for the other seven they'll get underway right from the off.
Derek McInnes' career as Hearts boss will get underway in the Premier Sports Cup, with his first competitive game in charge taking place in this competition.
St Mirren, Kilmarnock and Motherwell are also among the clubs entering here.
SPFL newcomers East Kilbride will test themselves against some higher level opposition, while Highland League champions will face TWO top flight clubs in their group.
Here's the Premier Sports Cup group stage draw in full.
What teams have been drawn to face each other in the Premier Sports Cup group stage draw?

Bonnyrigg Rose, who were relegated out of the SPFL last season via the play-offs, are taking part as well as the top two teams from the Highland League, Brora Rangers and Brechin City
Each team will play their group opponents once, with two games at home and two games away
All eight group winners will progress to the second round
The three best-runners up will also advance to the second round with all other clubs eliminated from the competition
As always, three points are awarded for a win and a point for a draw - but matches ending in a draw will see the teams take part in a penalty shoot-out with a bonus point awarded to the winners

Rangers goal was the best of Dundee star's career but he reveals he's haunted by the chance he didn't take

Ryan Astley netted the goal of his life at Ibrox - but was devastated he didn't bag a famous winner for the Dark Blues Ryan Astley scored the goal of his life at Ibrox - but was still devastated he didn't bag a winner for Dundee. ‌ The Welsh defender was outstanding in their 1-1 draw with Rangers on Saturday and gave Steven Pressley's side a shock lead with a second-half header. ‌ Astley hailed it as the best goal of his career so far and was able to celebrate it with family in the Dark Blues away end. ‌ But after James Tavernier had levelled for Gers with a late penalty, incredibly, Astley had a golden opportunity to grab victory for the Dens Park side. His effort flashed wide at the death and the 23-year-old admits he was gutted not to seal a memorable three points for Dundee. Afterwards, he said: 'I know, I had the chance to win it. I'm going to watch that back - I still feel I should have scored so it's quite disappointing. 'The goal was definitely the best of my career so far. It felt so good because when I scored, I could see all my family who were here today. 'It was a special moment, I enjoyed it. They were stood right at the back of the Dundee end, so I'll always cherish that one. 'It was a tough game and we needed everyone to put a shift in. ‌ 'But it says a lot that we're slightly disappointed with the draw. 'When you come to Ibrox, everyone needs to work hard - do a job and a half - and I think we did that. 'I'm proud of everyone in that changing room because it was a real team performance. ‌ 'Are we disappointed not to win? Look, that's football and decisions like that happen, where you can't help it. 'But overall, we're really happy with the team performance.' ‌ It was an outstanding defensive display from Dundee, led superbly by Astley and skipper Clark Robertson at the back. Pressley's appointment at Dens was met with derision from the Dark Blues' support and they got off to a nightmare start - being knocked out of the Premier Sports Cup and losing to Hibs on the opening day of the Premiership season. But the draw at Ibrox with Rangers - their first point in Govan since 2001 - should give them encouragement for the season and Astley insists his gaffer is the right man to lead them. ‌ He said: 'Saturday was down to the work we put in on the training ground as the gaffer's drilled us really well. 'We knew we weren't going to have much of the ball against Rangers so it was all about concentration and sticking together. 'When it feels like everyone's on top of you, you defend well and stay focused. ‌ 'We're a threat from set-pieces because we work on them and one came off for us on Saturday. 'Hopefully we can keep progressing now and win our next game. 'From day one when the manager came in, all of the players bought into it straight away. 'We knew what he wanted us to do and we believed in it. Eventually, I'm sure you'll start to see positive results.'

There has been speculation over his future for some time, with several Serie A club linked as he moves into the last year of his contract. 3 Scotland starlet Lennon Miller has been linked with various European clubs Credit: Willie Vass 3 He's been out of action with a minor injury sustained in a pre-season friendly Credit: Willie Vass 3 Serie A side Udinese are reportedly in discussion to break Motherwell's transfer record Credit: Alamy Torino and Bologna have been named in the race for the midfielder's signature. But it's Udinese who are edging closer to breaking Motherwell's record transfer fee received, according to Herald Sports. They understand that the team who finished 12th in the Italian top-flight last season have held 'fresh discussions' following a long period of interest. Early this year, they had a bid believed to be around £2.5million thrown out, with Union St-Gilloise also said to have been rejected for even more. But this time, the offer is coming in at £4.5million for the 18-year-old, exceeding the £3.25million received from Celtic for David Turnbull in 2020. Miller has been absent in competitive fixtures for Jens Berthel Askou since the season began following a minor injury picked up in a friendly against Carlisle. With the Scottish Premiership now well underway and the Serie A's start just a few weeks away, Udinese reportedly want to seal the deal in the coming week. Speaking last month when the teenager sensation was nowhere to be seen in a League Cup match against Greenock Morton, 'Well manager Askou said: 'He wasn't able to be here but I will hopefully see him on Thursday after our day off and we will take it from there. 'There are lots of rumours on Lennon. 'I have heard a lot of funny stories but he is still a Motherwell player. Motherwell and Rangers fans displays ahead of Premiership opener 'We are very happy to have him and he is happy to be here. 'When there is something concrete, we will say. But I look forward to seeing him this week.' If the move is confirmed Miller would be the next in a line of Scottish talents playing their trade in Italy. Scott McTominay picked up a Balon D'or nomination after a stellar league-winning season at Napoli, where he plays alongside Billy Gilmour. There was silverware too for Lewis Ferguson at Bologna in the form of the Italian Cup. Also out there are Che Adams with Torino, ex-Hibs kid Josh Doig at Sassuolo, and former Celtic man Liam Henderson plays for Empoli. Hearts boss Derek McInnes heaps praise on star man Stuart Findlay after headed double earns win at Tannadice

Derek McInnes hailed the impact of new Hearts hero Stuart Findlay after the defender's third goal in two games sealed a dramatic late victory for the Tynecastle side and sent them top of the Premiership. With ambitious investor Tony Bloom's words about potentially splitting the Old Firm this season still ringing in their ears, the Gorgie men were trailing 2-1 to Dundee United at Tannadice before Findlay equalised in the 58th minute and then headed the winner in the fourth minute of stoppage time. The 29-year-old's double, following his crucial goal in a 2-0 win over Aberdeen last Monday, maintained McInnes' perfect start to life as Hearts manager with six straight victories so far in the Premier Sports Cup and league. Having spent the previous two seasons at Kilmarnock under McInnes in a loan deal from Oxford United, Findlay is already thriving in a similar arrangement at Hearts. 'I couldn't get Stuart to score when I had him at Kilmarnock but he can't stop now,' said McInnes. 'He's a brilliant boy. First and foremost, I know he will do his job defensively week in, week out. But it's great to see him getting a chance to shine and take plaudits from that side of it. 'You can see the Hearts supporters are choking for heroes, they are desperate for the players to make them chant their name and earn that adulation. 'Stu's job is to stop the opposition's best players from scoring and he does that time and time again, but he can score goals from set plays and I'm glad we're getting a bit of a reputation for those.' McInnes wasn't wholly satisfied with his team's display — after Lawrence Shankland's penalty opener, they surrendered their lead to a double by United's Ivan Dolcek — but was gratified by the manner of victory. 'It wasn't perfect but it was dramatic,' he said. 'There was some good and bad in the game. Ultimately, winning with a last-minute goal is always welcome. 'The players had a responsibility and belief that something else would happen for them and would get that opportunity. 'The game was just a bit too scrappy for me. We didn't get any real rhythm. But we kept going and late winners are magic. 'It illustrates a lot — the quality of our bench, the personality of the players and that real belief within the squad.' United manager Jim Goodwin admitted his players ultimately felt the effects of their incredible 2-2 draw against Rapid Vienna in Austria last Thursday night. 'We played really well in the first half but started to fatigue in the second half and drop that bit deeper,' said Goodwin. 'But we need to do better defensively as all of Hearts' goals came from set pieces.'
