Moira's advice sees Cain make decision about dead Nate in Emmerdale ITVX release

Moira's advice sees Cain make decision about dead Nate in Emmerdale ITVX release

Metro05-05-2025

The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn't aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) had a lot on his mind in tonight's episode of Emmerdale.
Last week, the character learnt just how badly Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) has been struggling since Nate Robinson's (Jurell Carter) disappearance. Tracy told Cain that she doesn't understand why Nate is ghosting them and ignoring his young daughter Frankie.
Cain could understand why Nate was pretending the adults in his life didn't exist – after all, the majority of them are Dingles. However, he knew him failing to contact Frankie wasn't like Nate in the slightest.
He told Tracy that he'd go to Shetland to find Nate and get some answers, but things changed for him in a matter of hours.
Due to the fact Nate's killer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) learnt of Cain's plan to go to Shetland, he had to act fast to stop him from getting there.
A man then arrived at Tracy's to collect Nate's belongings, a sign that he no longer wanted anything to do with his family in the Dales.
Unaware of the truth, Cain spent tonight's episode trying to process his son's decision to completely start his life again elsewhere.
At the garage, Moira reminded Cain that he has two other children in the village, who love spending time with him. Are you glad Moira forgave Cain after he slept with Ruby?
She deserves better than him!
Cain knew that Moira was making a good point and decided to join her, Kyle (Huey Quinn) and Isaac (Bobby Dunsmuir) for a game of football on the field.
A while later, Cain apologised to Moira for being a pain (shock of the century), but she knew he was only feeling that way because of Nate. More Trending
Moira pointed out that Nate might come back in the future but until then, Cain should continue being a loving father to his other sons.

It was advice strong enough to impact Cain's mindset moving forward, as he later apologised to Kyle for being distant, and said he'll try and be a better dad.
Both Kyle and Moira tried to make Cain feel better tonight by saying that Nate might come back.

Right now, Cain remains hopeful that he will but sadly, with Nate's body still laying at the bottom of a lake, the character is going to come back – but not in the way anyone expected.

It then allegedly featured a quote from the TV star which read: "I Didn't Want Anyone to Know..." Images showed her in-character on the show as well as smiling in a cheery headshot. Yet Natalie, who this year quit EastEnders after 32 years on the soap, categorically slammed the suggestions of her illness. She furiously wrote in her caption: "THIS IS DISGUSTING AND DISGRACEFUL. "So many people are going through this and I have had messages asking if I'm ok. "It is completely made up and a terrible story. "Take this down whoever you are." The fake news came after the mum of two opened up on a huge pop star who used to bully her at school. EastEnders' Natalie Cassidy claims huge pop star used to BULLY her at school and reveals awkward confrontation ALL CHANGE The shock story also came just weeks after Natalie's podcast with Joanna Page was scrapped by the BBC in a huge career change. Yet she still has her own podcast, Life With Nat. The podcast scrap came after we reported how Natalie had landed a new TV show with the broadcaster. BBC Daytime have commissioned a new series - under the working title Natalie Cassidy Learning to Care - for BBC One and iPlayer. EastEnders stars who QUIT MICHELLE Collins has seen her second EastEnders stint boost her bank balance. Yet what stars have quit this year? The Sun exclusively reported how Michelle, 62, was down to £20,000 in her company accounts when she agreed to a shock back-from-the-dead return to Albert Square last year. Her character, Cindy Beale, was presumed dead off-camera in 1998. Yet what about the 2024 exits? Earlier this summer, loyal soap fans appeared to note how Stevie Mitchell had "quit" the long-running series. It came after Alan Ford enjoyed just six-months on-screen. Bobby Beale actor Clay Milner Russell also left this year after five years in Walford. Fans also feared Martin Fowler actor James Bye would "quit out of boredom" over recent storylines. Additionally, a host of stars have quit the BBC soap for Hollywood fame. One of the most successful stars to come from the BBC One soap is Rob Kazinsky. He played Stacey Slater's brother Sean Slater from 2006 to 2009, he has starred in Hollywood blockbusters Pacific Rim and Captain Marvel. Ben Hardy, who quit EastEnders as Bobby Beale almost a decade ago, went on to break Hollywood the following year, when he starred as Archangel in X-Men: Apocalypse. Since then, he has played Roger Taylor in Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, and he starred in Michael Bay's Netflix movie 6 Underground. Michelle Ryan played Zoe Slater until 2005. She starred as the lead in short-lived American series Bionic Woman from 2007 to 2008. The actress will fulfil her longtime ambition of wanting to train as carer. This means enrolling at one of the UK's top Health & Social Care colleges - alongside the next generation of carers. In recent years, Natalie has cared for family members and volunteered in local groups. The show follows her journey across classroom to community care services - as she's there for life's toughest moments. While to make things official, the actress will have to pass her final exam. Natalie said: 'I'm thrilled to be embarking on a new adventure with BBC Daytime. "In a series exploring social care, I will be going back to college and learning for the first time since leaving school at 16. "Caring has always been a huge part of my life, from watching my mum care for my nan, to being a mother to caring for my dad, this series is close to my heart and I can't wait for you to see it.' 6 She said the claims were 'completely made up' Credit: Rex 6 Natalie was an EastEnders fan-favourite Credit: BBC

Emmerdale star teases what's wrong with Bear as character set to vanish

Emmerdale's Mandy Dingle actress Lisa Riley told us what's ahead amid a mystery storyline for Bear on the ITV soap, hinting at huge and unexpected twists as the character vanishes Actress Lisa Riley has hinted at worrying and huge Emmerdale scenes ahead, concerning the new storyline with Bear. Lisa's character Mandy Dingle will be left concerned for her father-in-law Bear, with her and her husband Paddy Kirk, Bear's son, already confused by his recent behaviour. As the concern grows and a clash occurs between father and son, Bear ends up leaving the village and going completely AWOL. ‌ It's been revealed to The Mirror that the character, played by actor Joshua Richards, will be offscreen for "a month of two". The character then suddenly returns, and when he does it's noticeable that something is very different. ‌ With it thought that Paddy could "miss the signs" about what is going on with his dad amid his past experiences with depression, it's not being confirmed just yet what exactly is going on with Bear. It's clear he's in turmoil, while he's been having mood swings and displaying other worrying behaviour. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, actress Lisa has hinted when it does come out what is going on fans might be shocked. She teased unexpected scenes ahead with her reaction to the fact that fans currently have no idea what is wrong with Bear. READ MORE: EastEnders Shane Richie addresses Alfie 'exit' and teases huge Zoe Slater twist She told us: "It is better that you don't know what's gonna happen with Bear. It's so..." She then made a noise and pulled a face that suggested the story could come as a shock to fans, while she gave nothing away. While she didn't want to go too much into detail, her reaction did hint that whatever happens will be big and possibly won't be guessed by viewers. As we asked her about how Mandy will react when Bear returns, Lisa said her concern would be more aimed at Paddy. Giving nothing away, she teased: "He disappears and then he comes back. But she's really conscious of Paddy so she's looking after Paddy's point of view... without giving too much away. She'll be looking after Paddy." ‌ Whether this means Paddy's hurt over his dad's abrupt exit and him being gone for so long, or the impact it has on Paddy, she did not say. But it's clear there are huge things ahead for the trio, and that Bear's plot is going to have a lasting impact. Speaking recently to The Mirror about the plot, actor Joshua teased what was ahead. He told us: "I'm not really sure the true nature of exactly what is going on, but there is a change there. I never saw sort of a more stripped-back Bear, emotionally through the ringer. ‌ "So I think there's something big coming up for him, which I'm really looking forward to." He went on: "He alters somewhat. He's not too good for some reason, which we don't know why. So he's been slightly erratic emotionally and with his moods. "There are mood swings coming up for him, periods of forgetfulness, and maybe the kind of things that happened with a man of his age." On how the storyline will impact Paddy, he teased: "Paddy will feel guilty, because this is his father's experience in this and it's right next to him, and he can't see it. "He can't put his finger on it even though he's experienced it himself. That's one part of the storyline that will be going on is that somewhere down the line, he'll have to realise that he missed it. That'll be an important part of Paddy's storyline as well." Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Threads.
