Dakota Johnson, Cardi B's sexy butt tattoos are bringing the dreaded ‘tramp stamp' back into fashion
When deciding on a tattoo placement, some people seek to find the sexiest place on their bodies.
And though the once-taboo 'tramp stamp' — a derogatory term referring to a tattoo on a woman's lower back that was popularized in the '90s — is now desirable again, people are going a little lower with their ink.

Enter: butt tattoos.
Rather than going for the lower back area that's right above the bum, people opting to ink their cheeks.

Celebrities are hot on the trend, too — Mel B, Halsey and Olivia Wilde have all showed off their booty art, and cinematographer Seamus McGarvey once told the New York Times that he had to hire a 'butt double' for Dakota Johnson on 'Fifty Shades of Grey' due to her tattooed bottom.
Tattoos on the backside can be smaller, like Halsey's left butt cheek tattoo which reads 'HOPELESS' or Olivia Wilde's dragon tatted on her right butt cheek — or it can be a piece of art that covers the entire rear, like Cardi B's.
4 Cardi B's tattoo spans from her butt all the way up her back.
The hidden location makes it a desirable spot for someone who doesn't want a visible tattoo in their everyday life — and it also makes the tattoo sexier.

Butt tattoos are like a little secret for you and whomever you choose to share it with.
As one person said on TikTok, 'one of my favorite tattoos and nobody sees it.'

There have also been multiple recent TikToks of women going with their best friends to get their husbands' names tattooed on their rear ends in a cheeky way to show affection.

Someone shared in the comments that they have a tattoo of their wife's 'bite print. actual dental impression.'

'Good luck winning a fight with your wife when her name's tattooed on your butt cheek,' he wrote on Instagram.
The rise of tattoos on the hind comes as women 'are reclaiming negative stereotypes, which were once used to disparage them, as a form of empowerment,' Cleveland-based tattoo artist Melissa Martell previously told Allure.

The way people are now looking to bum cheek tattoos echoes how 'tramp stamps' used to be looked at in the past — 'to highlight the lower back and mark seductive, feminine power,' tattoo artist Alessandro Melas told PopSugar.
At the time, lower back tattoos were 'a great way to have a tattoo that you could still show off in a fun, sexy way or easily hide it,' added Iron & Ink founder and owner Hawaro Juul Petersen.

Kendrick Lamar Launches Creative Agency
Kendrick Lamar is launching his own creative agency. Called Project 3, it's a new arm of his company pgLang, which focuses on video and music production. The new venture will offer services including creative direction, content creation, brand design, strategy, event planning and production to businesses in a wide range of areas, from fashion to sport to art. Its creation is the result of pgLang's acquisition of its longtime collaborator Frosty, a Canada-based creative studio. The launch comes five years after pgLang's own debut in 2020; the plan for the company, which was co-founded by Lamar and his longtime creative partner Dave Free, was always to offer creative services externally. It's collaborated with brands including Converse, Louis Vuitton and Chanel on short videos and fashion show production. 'We've spent years building the foundation at pgLang. Now, Project 3 Agency represents our commitment to sharing that operating system — transforming how businesses tell their stories and ensuring their message doesn't just reach an audience, but truly moves and inspires culture, all while providing new opportunities for the young creatives inspiring us,' Lamar told The Business of Fashion via email. In its previous iteration as Frosty, Project 3 has produced campaigns for the likes of Burberry, Prada, Everlane and The Beatles, often grounded in storytelling and narrative. Founded in 2019, it first collaborated with pgLang on a campaign for Calvin Klein. Since then, the two have worked together on campaigns for companies including Jordan Brand, Cash App and Amazon Music. Frosty founders Greg Stogdon and J.D. Ostrow will remain on board as executives of Project 3, which employs a team of 30 globally. Working with pgLang 'always felt different,' said Stogdon via email. 'Whether we were collaborating openly or in the background, their perspective brought out the most creatively rewarding work. They don't just see things differently, they've built a network of creatives who care deeply about raising the bar. As pgLang brings those strengths to Project 3 Agency, Frosty contributes with a team of brilliant and kind people who know how to run an agency with the same high standards, ambition, and originality.' To introduce Project 3, pgLang has released a short film, directed by Jack Begert. The author has shared a YouTube video. Instagram Restricts Live Streaming to Creators With 1,000 or More Followers
This story was originally published on Social Media Today. To receive daily news and insights, subscribe to our free daily Social Media Today newsletter. Yeah, this is not going to go down well with smaller creators on Instagram. Over the past few weeks, you may have seen this notification pop-up in your IG feed (via Social Varsity): Yes, Instagram has increased its follower requirements for live-streaming, which will mean that users who haven't grown their account to a certain level will no longer be able to broadcast in the app. Which will be a significant blow to many smaller creators who use IG Live for varying purpose, and have been able to connect to smaller groups via live-streams. Now, you'll have to do video calls instead. Which, if you only have 1,000 followers, will probably work anyway, but that'll also reduce any discoverability benefits that come from live-streaming on IG. So why the change? I asked Meta about the update, and it told me… nothing. Meta didn't get back to me with an explanation on the update, so I can only speculate on the possible reasons. For one, live-streaming is expensive to support, and maybe Meta decided that it's not worth paying to fund live-streams with only eight viewers. People can also use live-streams for less than savory purpose, by creating a new account, referring people to it, then broadcasting NSFW material. If it gets banned, so be it, and maybe, by increasing the threshold to 1,000 followers, that'll eliminate those who may be looking to use its tools for this purpose. It could also help to increase the quality of live-streams, by ensuring that only people with some sort of audience can broadcast. Like, you're less likely to be a full kook if you have at least a thousand people following you, and maybe, that could then increase the overall perception of streaming as a medium. The change also brings IG more into line with the live-streaming requirements of other platforms. On TikTok, users also need to have 1,000 followers to be able to live-stream, while YouTubers need at least 50 subscribers, which, considering the viewer-to-subscriber ratio, is probably about the same thing. YouTube also recently increased the age limit of live-streaming in the app to 16, the same age restriction that IG implemented back in April. So there's been broader action on live-streaming in general, for seemingly various reasons, and this is just another update along the same lines. Which, again, is bad news for smaller creators, but maybe you'll just have to put more time into building an audience before you broadcast.
