'I usually avoid full coverage foundations but L'Oreal's new launch has changed my mind'
When it comes to foundation and base products, I've already leaned towards lower coverage skin tints. I love the hydrated, non-cakey finish they tend to leave on the skin. My go-tos include Ilia's Super Serum Skin Tint, £42, Sculpted By Aimee's Hydra Tint, £23, and Revolution's ultra-affordable Skin Blur Soft Focus Skin Tint, £5. However, recently I've been on the hunt for a fuller coverage foundation for those days when I'm looking for a little extra polish or want my makeup to last from the office straight through to post-work drinks. After trialling a few that felt thick, drying, and heavy, I finally stumbled on a winner.
The product that's earned its spot in my routine is L'Oreal Paris' new Infallible Skin Ink 2-in-1 Foundation and Concealer, priced at a purse-friendly £14.99.
This clever 2-in-1 hybrid acts as both a foundation and concealer, offering buildable coverage with a soft matte finish that still feels lightweight and breathable on the skin
What I love about this complexion product is that it's designed to blend seamlessly, leaving behind no unwanted lines or patches, so your skin still looks like skin, just smoother. At the same time, it delivers more coverage than a skin tint or tinted moisturiser, effectively covering spots, pigmentation, or blemishes without feeling cakey.
And because it's a two-in-one product, it cuts out the need to layer concealer on top, helping to keep your base fresh and natural.
It also uses fusion technology to give coverage that stays put for up to 48 hours, meaning no midday touch-ups are needed.
Another bonus is that it makes a great handbag product to carry around due to its compact and small size. As I mentioned, touch-ups aren't really needed. However, if you're in the office and want a little extra coverage for the evening, you can easily slot this in your bag and use it on the go thanks to its handy doe-foot applicator. My skin is oilier, so if you have very dry skin, you might struggle with this product clinging to dry patches. To combat this, I make sure my skin is fully prepped with a hydration moisturiser and a milky toner or serum underneath.
My favourite ones are BYOMA's Hydrating Milky Toner, £11.99, Curel's Moisture Facial Milk, £20, and Beauty of Joseon's Glow Replenishing Rice Milk, £15.50. I love the glow they give and how much they moisturise the skin, especially when prepping it for make-up.

Hot sleepers recommend all-year-round duvet that's cosy 'without weight'
The duvet is filled with luxury goose feather and down fillings, providing warmth but breathability at the same time Investing in an all-year-round duvet is a good choice for sleepers looking to save money. It means shoppers don't have to purchase a heavier tog for the winter and autumn months, and can bulk up the warmth by adding blankets on top. Homescape is a popular duvet brand that has many duvets at varying tog ratings. One of its most popular lines is the Goose Feather And Down 4.5 Tog Duvet, that some purchasers have praised for its cosy feel without feeling too heavy - ideal for hot sleepers. The Goose Feather And Down 4.5 Tog Duvet can be bought at Yimbly, an emerging marketplace owned by Mirror's parent company, Reach Plc. It comes in four sizes: single, double, king, and super king. Lisa Snowdon loves this hair serum that's 'must have for hair loss' and hails 'crazy' results Sturdy' post supports are perfect for repairing fences damaged by Storm Floris Prices range from £38.99 to £68.99; however, Yimbly shoppers can get 10% off throughout the month of August using the discount code SUMMERDAYS10. This discount code reduces the price point to £35.10 - £62.10. Goose feather and down fillings are widely regarded as the most luxurious bedding material, thanks to their ability to provide warmth and softness. The 4.5 tog duvet is perfect for mild summer weather or for those who prefer a lightweight quilt. Elsewhere, Dunelm also has a collection of all-season duvet options, including this Fogarty Temperature Regulating Wool Duvet (£60-£90). The fibres are breathable, allowing a user's body temperature to be regulated as they sleep. Dusk also has a large range of duvet choices, including this Anti-Allergy Feels Like Down Duvet (£35-£50). It has the feel of a down duvet but without feathers, making it the perfect option for those with allergies. Returning to Yimbly's Goose Feather And Down 4.5 Tog Duvet, one user rated it five stars, saying: "Wanted this 4. 5 tog for hot summer nights and to lay on top of our higher tog one for autumn and winter. It is really high quality and light yet substantial filling. Excellent value at this reduced price." Customer reviews can also be found on Homescapes, where one shopper wrote: "Gives you a nice cosy feeling without the weight." Another user was not as pleased, writing: "Not as soft as I expected." An additional reviewer added: "Soft and light. So cosy." One person said: "Excellent value, lovely quality, fast delivery." Customers new to Yimbly can find general reviews and ratings of the retailer's delivery and customer service on Trustpilot. One user commented: "Excellent prices, quick delivery. I have never bought from here before, but I would definitely buy from here again." However, some shoppers noted delivery had been 'slow', with one person stating: "Easy ordering but slow on delivery, hence 4 stars. All round well worth recommending." Another reviewer concluded: "Excellent product, easy to put together, and customer service was amazing."

'I gave my new neighbours gifts - but what they said behind my back was awful'
'I gave my new neighbours gifts - but what they said behind my back was awful' The Reddit user shared how a gesture of goodwill towards their neighbours was met by some less than friendly comments The Reddit user said they were 'annoyed' by the 'hurtful' comments (stock image) (Image: Getty ) A Reddit user has revealed how a generous gesture spectacularly backfired after they overheard what their neighbours really thought about them behind closed doors. Writing on the popular chat forum, the user, known as Boring_Cupcake293, shared details of what happened. They started by acknowledging they are "probably taking it too much to heart", but confessed it had "annoyed" them, reports the Mirror. The user then explained how their neighbours had moved in eight months ago and "seemed a nice enough couple". Boring_Cupcake293 added: "They have a little dog which is adorable." The Reddit user revealed that several weeks earlier, their friend had lost her dog and handed over "a bunch of his things", including toys, beds and accessories. "She told me to give them to someone I know or contact a charity for her as she wasn't in any fit state to sort it out," they explained. "Most of the toys were brand new or barely used so I thought I'd kindly see if my neighbours wanted them for their dog. I put the stuff in my garage and figured I'd ask them next time I saw them. The other day I was heading to my garage to tidy it up but ended up stopping to pick up some leaves on my drive. As I was doing so my neighbours pulled in to their drive." The Reddit user then entered their garage, opened it up, and decided to approach the neighbours about whether they'd appreciate the dog toys as a present. "They seemed grateful and took a few bits from me," they said. "They headed indoors, and I carried on with what I was doing in my garage." The Reddit user was gifting the leftover toys out of kindness (stock image) However, later that day, Boring_Cupcake293 says they went into their garden and overheard the neighbours talking. "After a while (obviously they didn't realise I was out there), they started talking about the toys I gave them. "Firstly, saying it was nice of me, but then I heard them say that it was funny that I was obviously 'hanging around' my drive waiting for them to arrive and how 'sad of me' for doing so. Then they both started to laugh and making really rude comments about me 'lurking around' and that now they were going to have bets to see how may times I end up 'conveniently' bumping in to them!". The Reddit user explained to fellow users: "I should have said something over the fence to the but I was so embarrassed and angry I felt it best I walk away. I obviously wasn't hanging around for them and I don't lurk outside my own property or have any desires to bump in to them on purpose. They said overhearing the 'rude' comments 'hurt' (stock image) (Image: Getty) "In the eight months they've been there I've only seen them a fair few times. We live next door, we both go in and out, so of course we'll bump in to each other! What a ridiculous thing to even say! I genuinely thought they were nice people but now I feel uncomfortable around them." At the end of the post, the user asked: "Do I even address it with them what I heard or leave it! ? I know I'm probably being too sensitive but overhearing someone make false comments about you is hurtful!" Numerous individuals in the comments offered the Reddit user messages of comfort and encouragement, advising them to ignore the negativity. Article continues below One person responded: "Consider yourself lucky that you know what they really are." Another commented: "At least you know how they are. They are your neighbours and not your friends. You weren't expecting their negative attitude towards your kindness." A third recommended: "Leave it and let it go. Your goal is for them to understand you're not a creeper lurker. Confronting them will have the opposite effect. Just keep them at arms length. Their loss." A fourth declared: "You are a kind and good person."

ITV This Morning fans 'in tears' as child with cancer leaves host emotional
ITV This Morning fans 'in tears' as child with cancer leaves host emotional This Morning welcomed 8-year-old cancer sufferer Florrie Bark onto Tuesday's show Joel and Emma hosted This Morning on Tuesday (Image: ITV) This Morning viewers were moved to tears by a deeply touching interview with a remarkable young guest. Eight-year-old Florrie Bark appeared alongside temporary presenters Joel Dommett and Emma Willis on the ITV daytime show today, having built up a devoted fanbase on TikTok. The youngster became well-known after posting positive and informative content on the social media platform documenting her battle with cancer. Florrie was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia when she was six years old, and received a bone marrow transplant, which initially proved effective but subsequently resulted in graft-versus-host disease affecting her lungs. She is currently on the waiting list for a lung transplant but has amassed a substantial following as she continues to motivate others and share her optimism, reports the Mirror. Last year, she was honoured with the Child of Courage award at the Pride of Britain Awards. Through her content, Florrie explains her medical condition and the benefits of stem cell treatment, raising awareness about childhood cancer whilst drawing on her own experiences to support others. "I do really like doing those [videos]," she said. "I've thought, 'I do wish that I had something like this when I was poorly, because it's all very confusing when you first come in to hospital and there's so much going on around you and sometimes the doctor doesn't have enough time to fully explain to you what's going on, and sometimes you don't really listen because you're that scared. "When a child can explain it and you are a kid, it might be a little less scary." Viewers were in tears over the sweet interview (Image: ITV) Florrie's mum went on: "It's so fulfilling, seeing the other children and families when they come up to you and say, 'That was really helpful when our child was diagnosed,' or the nurses that use them when a new family comes in. "So many people made a difference to us when we first entered the hospital, we feel like that's such a nice thing to give other families and just educate people who don't really have a clue about childhood cancer." When Emma commented that Florrie "radiates positivity", her father responded: "That's what makes it so much easier for us, to be able to deal with everything we go through as a family because Florrie is so optimistic and happy and smiley all the time, you feel like you have no choice but to be like that yourself because she is so joyful." As the interview drew to a close, Emma observed: "How incredible-all the things you're doing-it's absolutely amazing. You are a force of nature, Florrie. I'm so glad I got to meet you today." Florrie's parents spoke about the impact of her videos (Image: ITV) Joel, who presented Florrie with the Pride of Britain award last year, said: "It's life-changing meeting you as a family, it seems like you're just a family but honestly it changed my life meeting you guys. "The positivity you give to every room that you walk into, the way it makes everyone on the floor feel, all of us, whenever you come into the room, you're a breath of fresh air to everyone you meet." Viewers were equally moved by the interview, with one remarking: "Protect her at all costs." Another admitted, "I've got a tear in my eye."
