EastEnders Zack Hudson's fate teased after crash horror as actor speaks out

Daily Mirror2 days ago

EastEnders viewers were left wondering who would survive a crash involving Zack Hudson and Teddy Mitchell on the BBC soap this week, but is Zack leaving in the stunt?
Zack Hudson's fate remains up in the air on EastEnders after a crash with Teddy Mitchell on the BBC soap this week.
Tuesday's dramatic episode saw Zack and Teddy veer off the road in the car they were in, crashing into a lake below. As the car sank it remained unknown if anyone would survive the incident and what would happen next.

On Wednesday the fallout was revealed, with the episode dropping early on BBC iPlayer ahead of it airing on BBC One at 7:30PM. Viewers had big questions before tuning in, wondering if Zack was set to die and if actor James Farrar would be leaving the role.

Fans who have now watched Wednesday's episode of the show know a twist has been confirmed. It's certainly sparked a reaction online with viewers sharing their thoughts and even some theories about the future.
Warning, the rest of this article contains spoilers from the episode available to watch on iPlayer now. If you want to avoid details until Wednesday evening, do not continue!
Tuesday's episode had ended with concern for Zack, as Teddy lost control of the car and sped off the bridge into the water. Teddy had just stopped his son Harry Mitchell from doing anything to Zack, after he kidnapped him, attacked him and put him in the boot of his car.

As Wednesday night's episode unfolded we soon learned the fate of Teddy. Those also at the scene panicked as they tried to figure out what had gone down, and where Zack and Teddy were.
We also learned Zack's apparent fate after it was revealed he could not be found. With that, the others left the scene and soon residents were told Zack had likely drowned and was presumed dead.

Nicola Mitchell seemed happy with this after the drama with Zack over Barney's paternity. As the episode came to a sad end there was a confrontation, as someone declared Zack had been killed.
But is Zack really dead and has he left the show for good? Amid speculation from fans over the character's true fate, the actor who plays him did tease a shock death could happen.
Speaking on This Morning on Tuesday, Zack actor James and his co-star Laura Doddington hinted an exit could be on the way. "Are you going to get out alive?" Sharon Marshall questioned.

James didn't deny it, and he then shrugged his shoulders and quietly said "We'll see." Could this mean an exit for the star? Sharon teased: "It might be your last Soap Awards! You might be up for best exit next year."
Last week, eagle eyed fans noticed that the EastEnders YouTube page posted a video titled "The Dramatic Journey of Zack Hudson," and some thought it meant a bad omen for the character. "Does anyone else see this video as a bad omen for Zack?" one viewer questioned, as another agreed: "yeah I thought that too."
"So is this a hint that he'll be dying in the car crash?" questioned another fan, while a fourth said: "Well this confirms Zack's death!" Meanwhile last October, James teased a big storyline to The Mirror for Zack.
James could barely contain his excitement as he remained coy over the details of the mystery plot. He told us: "There is something really exciting coming up next year that nobody really knows about yet. It keeps me going into work every day going…. I'm buzzing for it to start. It is just starting around now."

Rochelle Humes wows in £32 top from Next that 'will never age'

The top was praised by shoppers who felt like an 'iconic movie star' when wearing the outfit Next shoppers say that a "flattering" top from Next gets them "lots of compliments" whenever they wear it. Modelled by TV star Rochelle Humes, the outfit was hailed by shoppers as something that "will never age". The former The Saturdays singer stood posed with her hands on her hips to showcase the Brown Glossy Satin Polka Dot Halter Top online. It costs £32 and shoppers could also continue the look with the matching Polka Dot Maxi Skirt that is £50 to create an effect of a full dress. The mum-of-three completed her look with some off-white heels and a touch of jewellery. The top, from the This Morning presenter's collection with the high street store, is made from a "soft satin fabric" and finished with a tie fastening. Similar styles are available elsewhere. New Look has a £9.99 Cream Polka Dot Slash Neck Top and Debenhams has this Polka Dot Print Halter Neck in black for £28.50, reduced from £38. There's an almost identical top for sale over on ASOS - the Tank Top in Brown Polka Dot costs £32 and is made from non-stretch denim. But, Rochelle's top at Next is a clear favourite amongst shoppers. In the reviews, one said: "Wore this to a family party [and got] lots of compliments. It's easy to wear [and] very flattering." Another wrote: "Lovely top, nice to have a different colour top to wear dressed up or casually." A third added that it was "Very pretty". Someone else put: "Exactly what I wanted!" Reviewing the skirt, a fifth shopper said: "The quality of the material is stunning. It hangs lovely and I love poka dots. A little bit expensive but it will never age." There was one person who said they felt like an iconic movie character, writing: "I felt like Pretty Woman. Amazing!" Another fan said: "Beautiful piece of clothing will wear for many years." And, there was one more review that claimed: "I got the top in store and couldn't resist the skirt to complete my 'Pretty Woman' look! Skirt comes up big (I think due to the elasticated waist?)" There are no negative reviews so far, other than one about the skirt, where a shopper claimed the material "creased so badly." The lack of criticism in the reviews section may be off-putting for some shoppers. Plus, the top and skirt are made from 100% recycled polyester, which may be another turn-off for some who prefer more organic material.

Former EastEnders star Joe Absolom joins Emmerdale cast

Former EastEnders actor Joe Absolom is to join the cast of Emmerdale. The 46-year-old will play Ray, an old contact of Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), in the ITV soap, having previously played Matthew Rose in BBC soap EastEnders from 1997 to 2000. ITV says Ray will arrive at the farm claiming to be selling farm machinery, but it is not long before his true drug-dealing ways become clear. Absolom said of his new role: 'Well, what an honour to join such a talented team at Emmerdale. It's an iconic show and I'm grateful to be part of it. I can't wait to see what's in stock for Ray.' ITV says Absolom's character will have a 'calm and collected exterior' with a hidden 'menacing streak'. Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw said: 'We are thrilled to welcome Joe Absolom to the cast. It's fantastic to have such a high-calibre and immensely talented actor join our wonderful team to play the role of Ray. 'Charming, charismatic and effortlessly likeable, Ray is an extremely complex character who very quickly shows his dark and villainous side to some of our most loved villagers, leaving them in no doubt as to what he's capable of.' The actor also appeared as Al Large in the ITV comedy drama Doc Martin between 2004 and 2022, and most recently played the role of Braden Moore in Code of Silence. It comes after ITV announced it was to air its first ever crossover between Coronation Street and Emmerdale, with fans able to vote for the characters they would like to see meet and interact. The hour-long crossover episode will air in January 2026 as ITV and STV announce a new hour of soap schedule, which will see half hour Emmerdale episodes air at 8pm, followed by 30-minute episodes of Coronation Street at 8.30pm.

KSI reveals he's been flooded with DMs from older ladies since appearing as a judge on Britain's Got Talent

KSI has revealed his role as a judge on Britain's Got Talent has earned him a legion of new older admirers. The YouTube sensation, 31, bagged the position on the popular ITV Saturday night TV show earlier this year and his inclusion has certainly been a hit with fans. But while KSI has been much-loved by younger generations for years, his decision to move into mainstream television has now also earned him the respect of an older age group. He told The Sun: 'I have always had mature women sliding into my DMs but I'd say BGT has definitely sky-rocketed the DMs, and them recognising me more.' In fact the increased adulation KSI has received from the new-found older section of his fan base even inspired the chorus of his new track, Catch Me If You Can. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. After teasing the track for weeks on his social media accounts, KSI at last released his latest single on Thursday. He raps: 'Million-dollar smile, baby that's the brand/ go and ask your mum, yeah she know who I am.' And it seems fans could be treated to more music from the Prime owner, with him revealing that's sitting on a heap of unreleased tracks. 'I am always working on music, so I have a lot of songs I feel are a better fit for a season, or how I feel,' he said. However the rapper's previous release titled Thick Of It, which came out in October 2024, was 'clowned' by supporters following its release - with Jack Whitehall even taking a jibe at the tune while presenting the BRITs. KSI himself even joked that he 'couldn't believe' the song featuring Trippie Redd was nominated for Song of the Year. 'When I got the message I laughed,' he said on the red carpet in March. 'When I released the song I was getting clowned, people online were meme-ing the song saying, "what is this, this isn't good" blah blah blah. 'But people kept listening to it, people kept streaming it and as soon as I got that BRIT nomination it was the cherry on top. 'It put a smile to my face.' Amid his various endeavours into music and television, KSI had been scheduled to step into the ring again in March to take on Dillon Danis in a Misfits boxing event. However following a huge amount of back and forth trash talk online between the pair, KSI was forced to pull out of the bout just one week before fight night at the end of March. The fighter claimed his body had 'given up' after weeks of illness. But a couple of days later he was spotted in the VIP section of an Usher concert at the 02 arena in London, prompting a furious response from his opponent. Sharing a clip of KSI, Danis wrote: 'You can't make this s*** up. '@KSI faked the sniffles. He's a scared little b****. I was told he couldn't get out of bed, and he's out on the night of the fight? WTF.' Despite the fight supposedly being postponed rather than cancelled, a new date has yet to be announced.
