Muscat: Iran Nuclear talks to resume if conditions are right

Saba Yemen3 days ago
Muscat – Saba:
Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi stated on Tuesday that negotiations on Iran's nuclear program will resume if the appropriate conditions are met.
According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, Al-Busaidi emphasized that resolving the Iranian nuclear issue can only be achieved through diplomacy and that aggression will be of no benefit.
He added, 'The use of force and the imposition of solutions through aggression is ineffective; the resolution of Iran's nuclear program lies in negotiations.'

Hezbollah SG: Defending homeland requires no one's permission

Beirut – SABA: The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naeem Qassem, affirmed on Friday that 'defending the homeland requires no one's permission', adding that the resistance remains open to discussions when a serious and effective alternative for national defense is proposed. In remarks delivered during the ninth night of Ashura commemorations at the Sayyed al-Shuhada Complex, as reported by Al-Manar, Sheikh Qassem stated: 'We are not far from discussion and understanding with those who claim to be capable of protecting the country. But we will not accept demands to hand over our weapons without first demanding an end to aggression.' He criticized those calling for disarmament while remaining silent about the Israeli occupation, saying: 'It is illogical to criticize only those resisting occupation while ignoring the occupier itself.' Addressing those betting on foreign powers or hiding behind hostile forces, Qassem said: 'You miscalculated. The people of resistance do not fear enemies, nor will they surrender their rights. True achievement lies in liberating land and restoring sovereignty — and we are always ready for this mission.' He emphasized that Ashura commemorations are a revival of Islam's broad and timeless teachings, noting that Islam is not a set of rigid rituals, but rather a comprehensive project for humanity, built on unchanging values and flexible practices that adapt to time and experience. Sheikh Qassem added that the emergence of pioneering figures in Lebanon who adhere to Islamic principles reflects a living embodiment of the values Hezbollah believes in. He also recalled the resistance's role in recent confrontations: 'In our last two battles — 'Al-Awliyaa' al-Ba's' and 'Al-Aqsa Flood' — we fought alongside the people of Gaza and sacrificed many martyrs, including women and children, because our resistance is comprehensive and inclusive.' He concluded by stressing that true patriotism lies in attachment to the land and defending it, educating future generations to love and belong to it: 'We believe in our country. There is no contradiction between Islam and patriotism. Islam encourages love of the homeland and urges its defense.' Qassem reiterated that Hezbollah's choice of resistance stems from Islam, inspired by the paths of Imam Hussein (A.S.) and Lady Zainab (A.S.), stating: 'Our resistance is not a slogan, but a firm stance against the Israeli enemy. He must leave — and we have no option but to resist him until he does.' Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)

Al-Qassem, al-Nasser Brigades shell Israeli Forces in Northern Gaza

Gaza – SABA: The Martyr Omar Al-Qassem Forces, the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, announced today, Friday, that they jointly shelled Israeli occupation forces with the Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, in northern Gaza. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the Al-Qassem Forces said: 'We targeted the massing of enemy forces advancing into northern Gaza, specifically in Jabalia al-Balad, Arbekan area near Al-Omari Mosque, using mortar shells, in coordination with the Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades.' This operation comes as part of the ongoing resistance response to the genocidal crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the people of Gaza — crimes carried out with U.S. support since October 7, 2023, involving killings, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, all while ignoring international appeals and rulings by the International Court of Justice to halt the aggression. Several Palestinians martyred, injured in Israeli bombing of aid seekers in Gaza

Gaza – SABA: Six Palestinian civilians were martyred and several others injured on Friday evening as a result of Israeli artillery shelling that targeted a crowd of aid seekers near the Wadi Gaza bridge in central Gaza. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed in the Gaza Strip since dawn today to approximately 70, including children and women. According to the Palestine News Agency (WAFA) and medical sources, the Israeli occupation forces carried out widespread attacks across the besieged enclave, targeting aid seekers, tents, civilian homes, and gatherings. In Jabalia, 11 Palestinians from the Al-Dada family were martyred in a massacre following an Israeli airstrike on their home. Additionally, four civilians were killed in Jabalia al-Nazla, and a tent sheltering displaced persons in al-Saftawi area north of Gaza City was also struck. Airstrikes on Al-Tuffah and Al-Zaytoun neighborhoods in eastern Gaza claimed four more lives, while a drone strike in Al-Tuffah killed a child near Al-Sanafor junction. In Al-Sabra neighborhood in southern Gaza City, three people were martyred in a bombing that targeted the Al-Deiri family's home. In the western area of Al-Nuseirat Camp, two civilians were killed in an Israeli strike targeting a crowd in Al-Hasayneh area. Four others were martyred in Al-Bureij Camp in a bombing on the Al-Shalabi family's home. Earlier in the day, 20 civilians seeking aid were killed—five by direct gunfire near a distribution point northwest of Rafah, and 15 at Al-Tahlia roundabout east of Khan Younis, with 90 others injured. In Al-Mawasi, eight displaced civilians, including children and women, were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on a tent near Tiba Towers. Four more, mostly women and children, were killed in bombings on two tents on Khan Younis beach. An Israeli strike on another tent near the British field hospital in Al-Mawasi also left three dead, including two children. Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces have carried out what is widely described as genocide in Gaza, involving systematic killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, in blatant defiance of international appeals and International Court of Justice orders.
