Yet luckily for those who work from home, one top-rated printer is currently on a huge £41.80 discount on Amazon. The Brother HL-L2400DW Mono Laser Printer usually retails for a steep £130.80, but with its current 32 per cent discount, the piece of office kit is currently a much more budget-friendly £89. Alternative options for printers include the HP Envy 6120e Wireless Photo Printer which is currently on offer for £59.99 at Argos. Or, the Canon PIXMA TR4755i Wireless Inkjet Printer selling on Argos for £44.99. But customers adore the discounted Brother printer on Amazon, and it has raked in an impressive rating of 4.3 stars out of a possible five. One overjoyed customer said: "This is the best laser printer I have ever used by far! Fantastic value for money!" And another added: "This is a good product simple to set up has 2 sided printing so you can save paper, and the scan and copy functions mean you only need one unit for all your home or home office needs. "It can also print from your phone if you install the brother app." Yet not every home worker is blown away by this printer, as one less satisfied shopper added: "Moving from a HP device that was in itself poor, i though this would be significantly better at 4 x the price, but there are issues ranging from it erroring repeatedly to constantly going into sleep and deep sleep, from which you can't get it to wake from. "I mean, why is that even a feature?" But another happy shopper wrote: "I recommend this as a printer and a scanner. I found it easy to set up and easy to use. It's fast for printing and very quiet in use." The discounted printer is available on Amazon. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! 'Mega comfy' Skechers trainers that 'feel like slippers' are now better than half price

Shoppers rush to buy a 'mega comfy' pair of Skechers trainers that are praised for 'feeling like slippers' as they plummet to under half price in this rare deal As we move into autumn, a pair of trainers will undoubtedly be a wardrobe staple. Whether paired with casual attire or something more formal, the perfect design can be worn repeatedly. Naturally, it's not solely about appearance, as they must also provide comfort. For precisely that reason, Skechers is an obvious choice, and we've spotted one "mega comfy" pair available for better than half price. The footwear brand's Flex Appeal 4.0 Brilliant View Sneakers are currently available for £28.50 on Amazon, reduced from the usual £64, delivering an impressive discount of 55% off the original retail price, reports the Daily Record. It's worth noting that the online giant's reduction applies only to the black with rose gold trim colourway, with sizes available from a two through to 10, including half-sizes. These athletic, lace-up trainers boast Skechers' renowned Air-Cooled Memory Foam insole that maintains foot cushioning, delivering immediate comfort, pressure relief and breathability. Constructed from lightweight mesh material, they also include a shock-absorbing midsole and flexible rubber traction outsole, making them ideal for dedicated fitness enthusiasts who frequent the gym or go jogging. Amazon isn't the sole destination to secure a reduction on new trainers, as Nike is running its own sale, with the sportswear giant's Air Zoom Upturn SC slashed from £89.99 to £53.99, a discount of 40%. If you're on the hunt for something a bit more budget-friendly but still sporty, Sainsbury's has got you covered. The supermarket is offering a variety of styles, including their Navy Knitted Slip-On Trainers, which are a steal at £18 a pair. The Flex Appeal Trainers from Skechers have proven to be a hit, racking up nearly 13,000 reviews on Amazon. Shoppers have lauded them as "so light" that they "don't know they are wearing them." One thrilled customer shared: "Mega comfy. First time wearing I walked for miles. Extremely comfortable, highly recommend." Another glowing review read: "These are great trainers, so light and comfortable, feels like you're wearing slippers!" A similarly satisfied shopper wrote: "Fantastic trainers feel like a pair of slippers don't Know you're wearing them. Lightweight and support your feet." However, the design might not be the best fit for those with pain-related issues needing extra support. As one three-star reviewer noted: "I have plantar fasciitis so will need to revert to the arch fit style. Look lovely though." In contrast, another pleased customer stated: "I will only wear Skechers trainers as they are the comfiest and longest wearing trainers. These trainers are great. "I had concerns over sizing as I have never purchased trainers through Amazon before. The fit is perfect and true to size. Comfy from first wear! Bought them for under £40, bargain!"

Aldi's selling handy Specialbuy DIY tool that's £15 cheaper than Black & Decker version

BARGAIN hunters can bag a must-have DIY tool at Aldi this week for nearly half the price of a leading brand. The Aldi gadget promises to make fiddly home improvement jobs a breeze. 2 The discounter has launched a pivot handle screwdriver as part of this week's Specialbuys, priced at just £12.99, while a similar Black & Decker version costs £24.99 on Amazon. It's powered by a 4V rechargeable lithium-ion battery and has a soft-grip handle that twists 180 degrees, making it easier to get into awkward corners that standard screwdrivers can't reach. It also comes with a forward and reverse function, six torque settings, LED working light, USB-C charging, and a built-in safety cut-off to stop overheating. With a three-hour charge time and automatic spindle lock, it's designed to be both practical and durable. The Black & Decker cordless rapid screwdriver, while boasting a slightly higher torque, comes with a smaller 3.6V battery and retails for almost double the price. Both models offer similar speeds and features, meaning Aldi's cut-price tool is a clear winner for shoppers wanting value without compromising too much on performance. This isn't the first time Aldi has gone head-to-head with big-name brands in its Specialbuys range. garden furniture to hot tubs and branded tool dupes. But there's a catch. Once Specialbuys sell out, they're rarely restocked and with prices undercutting rivals by as much as 50%, popular items can disappear fast. Shoppers have even discovered 'secret codes' on Aldi's digital price labels to tell when items are about to vanish for good. Have you seen this secret code in Aldi? Savvy bargain hunter Jordon Cox, known as the Coupon Kid, recently revealed that a capital 'D' in the corner of a price tag means a product is being discontinued. Once gone, it won't return, so fans need to grab it while they can. Upcoming Specialbuys are advertised in Aldi's in-store booklets and on its website, with Thursdays and Sundays being the key days for new stock. The supermarket says mornings between 8am and 10am are the quietest time to shop, while late afternoons and evenings are also good for dodging queues. Arriving early on those days gives bargain hunters the best chance of nabbing the most sought-after deals. Aldi opening stores Unlike many retailers, Aldi is planning to open more sites. The brand has earmarked 11 areas for new stores. Jonathan Neale, managing director of national real estate at Aldi, said: "We're now opening an average of one new store a week for the rest of 2025, showing just how ambitious our plans are to build a store network that will help us reach millions of new customers." This is the full list of 11 new stores confirmed as opening: Airfields, Welsh Road, Deeside Rockingham Road, Market Harborough, Leicestershire Fulham Broadway, London Pacific Drive, Eastbourne, East Sussex Mafon Road, Nelson, Treharris Ashford, Waterbrook, Kent Commercial Street, Shoreditch, London Philadelphia Lane, Houghton le Spring, Tyne and Wear Mill Road, Meadowfield, Durham Pendle Drive, Litherland, Liverpool Ringwood Road, Brimington, Chesterfield
