Cadbury fans rush to B&M to try 'amazing' new Dairy Milk flavour

Daily Mirror4 days ago
A new, unique Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate bar with a twist has hit B&M stores around the UK – and chocolate fans are desperate to get their hands on the fresh product
There is no feeling like taking a bite of a delicious chocolate bar when you are in need of a pick-me-up or energy boost. Often, with so much choice on the market and new products being released all the time – such as the new Cadbury Bournville flavours – it can be hard to choose which one to go for. While the classics never go amiss, it is always fun to try something new - and fans are buzzing over this new Cadbury flavour.

If you are a fan of the Dairy Milk Marvellous Creations bars – known for their jelly popping candy hidden inside the chocolate pieces – you are bound to enjoy this new treat. The new combination contains cola-flavoured jellies and fizzy candy chips, alongside the famous popping candy. The product has been available some time in Australia, but now Brits can get their hands on them, too.

In April this year, a large sharing-size bar of the Marvellous Creations Cola Fizz was spotted in B&M. But now, you can get the treats in 50 portions for £1, perfect for when you're on the go or you don't want to share.

Popular social media food page, New Foods UK, who always find the latest product drops in stores, shared a snap of the treats on Facebook and Instagram.
The post reads: "Dairy Milk Cola Marvellous Creations bars back at B&M stores."
"Sounds absolutely amazing," commented one individual. Another said: "Love this very nice."

"Omg I need to go B&M," insisted one other. Another observed: "These looks interesting. May have to try."
"Oh these look good," added one other. "Chocolate and coke," said another, who loves the flavour combination.

Others don't seem as keen, as one said: "I literally shuddered seeing this. Like...frission...in a bad way." "Unsure but also need to try," said one divided individual.
One other suggested: "Get rid of the jelly bits and just mix the chocolate and popping candy bits with cola which would be much better."
One B&M worker issued a warning when the 100g version came into stores, and said: "Work at B&M and just a heads up before people start rushing in and saying to staff 'yeah but it's all over Facebook'; not every store gets stuff in at exactly the same time, like when people see stuff cheap etc not every store especially the smaller ones have it in."
In other food news, a nine-year-old who was addicted to Shreddies and McDonald's chicken nuggets from the age of two has overcome his addiction - and it's all thanks to hypnosis.

The ‘superior' 90s chocolate bar Brits wish Cadbury would bring back

There's no devastation quite like realising your favourite chocolate bar has been discontinued forever. And for the most loyal fans, a dupe just won't do. Now, the British public has spoken on the long-lost pick it wants to see return to shelves – and it's a creamy, minty treat that hasn't been seen in more than 20 years. A beloved (former) member of the Cadbury family, the Wispa Mint first hit shelves in 1995 – and though it was discontinued back in 2003, chocolate lovers have never quite forgotten it. Surveying 2,000 people across the UK, new research has concluded that the minty twist on the classic Wispa came out on top, as more than 1 in 5 (22%) said it was the long-lost chocolate bar they'd most like to see return. Cadbury has been known to experiment with its Wispa bar – but it hasn't always been a smooth ride. 20 years after it first launched, in 2003, the Wispa brand was briefly discontinued and rebranded as the Dairy Milk Bubbly. But after uproar from fans, which included a dedicated online campaign, it returned to shops permanently in 2008. Over the years, Wispa has taken many forms, including orange, strawberry, Wispaccino, and of course, the long-reigning Gold. In second place was Caramac, which was discontinued in 2023 after 64 years, while 1 in 5 (18%) still miss the Cadbury Dream, which was discontinued back in 2002. Shoppers previously went wild after it was briefly spotted in B&M, but now, the only UK alternative is the Cadbury White (launched in 2019). And if you happen to find yourself in Australia, New Zealand or South Africa, the elusive Dream is still sold there. A sweet combination of milk chocolate and white, the Cadbury Marble was selected by 16% of respondents to the Smooth Spins Casino survey, having disappeared from shelves back in 2012. In joint fourth was also the nostalgic Orange Crunchie, a tangy version of the honeycomb classic. It's no secret that chocolate fiends have long been lusting for the Wispa Mint's return. Over on the r/CasualUK Subreddit, @Gueld recalled the sweet snack being their 'go to' chocolate back in the day – even going as far as to label it 'far superior to an Aero.' @Loose_beef felt that Wispas in general are a 'criminally underrated' choice, while @ChrisRR called for the return of the Mint classic, labelling even the highly esteemed Wispa Gold 's*** by comparison.' Bold words. @charlotteypants has always felt they were 'epic' – and continues to 'mourn' the loss to this day. Meanwhile, @Yachting-Mishaps wondered whether the Wispa Mint 'needs to exist in a world that already has Mint Aero.' By way of reply, @iwasfeelingallfloopy reckons that the flavour in the Wispa was 'different (i.e. better)' and 'more of a creamy layer.' Though Cadbury hasn't confirmed any plans to revive the Wispa Mint, there are plenty of success stories where chocolate brands have decided to give previously axed favourites another go. First launched in 2003, White Chocolate Maltesers were a fan favourite before being discontinued in 2014. People spent more than a decade begging for their return, and in June, those prayers were finally answered as the treat returned to shelves. They're now available in treat, single and sharing bar formats, both at major supermarkets and independent retailers. More Trending And, after Mars admitted that it 'made a mistake' and an online petition totalling more than 8,600 signatures, the Milky Way Crispy Rolls made a comeback earlier this year. A milk chocolate-covered wafer biscuit finger, inside, it's filled with light whip, and has been dubbed 'god's gift' and the 'best chocolate bar ever' by doting fans. The brand also added two new Crispy Roll flavours to the line-up, including Twix Crispy Rolls and Bounty Crispy Rolls. Do you have a story to share? The world's funniest countries revealed — and Brits won't be happy

Laughter might be a universal language, but let's be honest, some people are just funnier than others. And, whether it's deadpan delivery, playful banter or self-deprecating sarcasm, each country has its own comedic signature. If your ideal holiday includes more than just lounging on the beach or ticking off tourist attractions, and you want a place where the locals make you laugh, you might want to listen up. A new global ranking has named the world's funniest countries. But Brits shouldn't get too cocky. We might be a nation of dry humour and relentless sarcasm, but the UK hasn't even made the top 10. In a survey by Remitly, over 6,000 people across 30 countries were asked to complete something called the Humour Styles Questionnaire. It's a psychological tool created in 2003 by researcher Rod Martin, designed to examine not just if someone is funny, but how they express their humour. Fuel your wanderlust with our curated newsletter of travel deals, guides and inspiration. Sign up here. The winner? Perhaps surprisingly, it was Czechia (formerly the Czech Republic). Scoring 72.33 out of a possible 112 on the questionnaire, the Czechs came out top thanks to their strength in self-defeating humour. They also scored high for aggressive humour, which Remitly describes as 'a potent mix of self-deprecation, razor-sharp irony, and expertly wielded sarcasm. The Czech humour isn't loud or performative; it's dry and operates on well-placed jabs and deadpan delivery. According to Remitly: 'Czechs have refined humour into a survival tool, using wit as psychological armour that has evolved into a defining national characteristic.' In second place was Portugal, scoring 71.42. Remitly says Portuguese humour leans more into affiliative and aggressive styles, leaving them with a sense of humour that blends warmth and wit. 'Known for quick-thinking jokes, they often use humour to charm, tease, and disarm,' it explains. Ireland took third place with 71.18 – a result that probably won't shock anyone who's ever been around someone from Ireland. According to Remitly, Ireland scored high for affiliative and self-enhancing humour. 'This may align with the Irish's reputation for friendliness and excellent storytelling. It's a great combination of humour styles, leading to citizens of Ireland being sharp, charming and relatable.' More Trending Belgium followed close behind (71.12), with Chile and Greece tied for fifth at 71.08. As for the UK? Eighteenth. Behind Canada and just ahead of South Africa. A ranking that may leave British comedy fans clutching their box sets of Peep Show and The Office in disbelief. Hey, at least we weren't in last place. Sorry, Norway, we hate to break it to you. Czechia Portugal Ireland Belgium Chile Greece Australia Poland Denmark Hungary Switzerland Netherlands France Mexico Austria Estonia Canada UK South Africa Norway. Do you have a story to share?
