Ashley Tisdale Said Her 4-Year-Old Daughter's Intense 'High School Musical' Obsession Is Taking Over Her Life, And I'm Loving Every Detail
Everyone remembers their first time watching Sharpay Evans bop to the top on the East High stage, and for this young High School Musical fan, that pivotal life experience is hitting a lot closer to home.
Having played Sharpay in HSM, Maddie in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and Candace in Phineas and Ferb, Ashley Tisdale is nothing short of a Disney legend. And even after all these years, it sounds like her fanbase is continuing to grow.
For context, Ashley shares two daughters with her husband, Christopher French, and in a new TikTok, she revealed that their oldest girl, four-year-old Jupiter, has developed a 'sweet' but rather intense obsession with all three of the HSM movies, which — not to make you feel old — came out in 2006, 2007, and 2008.
'I don't know what kind of karma this is, but Jupiter saw my niece in High School Musical the play last weekend,' Ashley began, stating that her daughter had watched the movies before, but only now is she truly obsessed. 'I think seeing my niece in the play, play me, has just changed her.'
As per Jupiter's request, Ashley said they've been rewatching 'all three movies' and blasting the soundtrack on a regular basis. 'She will not stop listening to the music,' she said, laughing. 'It's playing in the house right now. When I'm on walks with her, she asks for me to play it, when I'm in the car, she asks for me to play it. Specifically, High School Musical 2.'
'It's really sweet,' Ashley told fans, 'but after like, a good week straight of listening to the music again, it's like, OK, we're good. We don't need to watch this again.'

Hilariously, Jupiter's favorite song from the franchise is apparently 'Humuhumunukunukuapua'a' from High School Musical 2, which, as true experts will know, is one of the lesser-known tracks, because it was actually a deleted scene. 'I hate that song,' Ashley joked.
I don't know about you, but if my mom starred in the most iconic movie musicals ever made (argue with yourself), I'd sure want the world to know about it — and it sounds like Jupiter shares the same view. 'She screams out in public, 'I'm Sharpay's baby!'' Ashley said, cringing at herself. 'Like I can't. I just feel so embarrassed when I'm walking into a store, and she's like, 'We're all in this together,' And I'm like, 'Oh, my God.''
Despite making me feel suuuuper old, this is genuinely adorable, and in the comments section, fans are praising little Jupiter for having incredible taste and using her nepotism correctly.

I'm also obsessed with the sheer number of people who have pointed out that Jupiter should consider asking her mom to do some live performances at home. If it were me, I'd be demanding that she get Lucas Grabeel over to recreate the entire 'I Want It All' performance from HSM3. Better yet, why don't you call Zac Efron and get him to sing 'Bet On It' in the backyard?
Jupiter, the power is in your hands. You can watch Ashley's full TikTok here.

Amid Concerns About Inside The NBA's Future On ESPN, An Insider Dropped Claims About What The Network Is Planning
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Credit: TNT The NBA on TNT is officially over, and with that comes the end of Inside the NBA's 36-year run on the network. Luckily, the show will return with its four main hosts, as ESPN struck a deal to air it, starting this fall. However, there have still been some concerns regarding this new era for the show. Some appear worried that the Disney-owned sports company will change up the show too much and take away its essence in the process. Amid that chatter, a source is dropping claims about what's being planned for the sports TV staple. Advertisement It goes without saying that Inside has a unique flow, one that's fueled by conversations headed up by its A+ personalities like Ernie Johnson and Charles Barkley. Of course, the series also makes use of excellent segments and provides the hosts with opportunities to participate in hilarious hijinks. (Barkley's even been pranked with a bucket of water on air.) As fans await the new season, an insider tells Front Office Sports that viewers shouldn't expect much to change: Some of the speculation's just nuts. ESPN has wanted Barkley and this show for 20 years. Now that they've got it, why would they change it? That source does pose an interesting question, considering Inside the NBA has been quite successful. Still, it's not uncommon for a massive organization to want to change up a TV program after acquiring it in order for it to better fit the brand. Sports journalist Bill Simmons was specifically concerned that ESPN would mess up Inside by tailoring the show to its sometimes commercial-heavy timeslots. Yet, if this insider is to be believed, the show will still air normally and the quartet of pundits will have an ample amount of time to shine. When the former TNT staple returns to the air this fall as part of the 2025 TV schedule, co-hosts Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley will reportedly still have a long postgame as they've always had. While they'll also still participate in pregame and halftime coverage as well, they'll also have live coverage for other major events. The reported plan is for the group to provide coverage for Christmas Day games, the NBA Finals, the Conference Finals, opening week and more, per FOS. All of that coverage may sound good for fans, but it might not gel with the hopes of at least one of the show's hosts. Charles Barkley, who rescinded his retirement from broadcasting in August 2024 before the ESPN deal was made, has been candid about waiting for more specifics about his work schedule. Barkley has been adamant about not wanting to work more frequently than he already is. While Barkley's TV career will continue for the time being, it's easy to get the feeling that execs are going to want to fill him in sooner rather than later. Advertisement So far, though, it would seem that the bigwigs at ESPN are seeking to maintain creative continuity, as they prepare for Inside the NBA's arrival. Company president Jimmy Pitaro spoke out and doubled down on the network's commitment to keeping the hosts together. As a longtime viewer of the program, I can understand the concerns that some of my fellow fans may have. But, until I see anything, I'm staying optimistic that this TV staple won't change too much. Let's hope Inside the NBA isn't negatively impacted by shifting networks as reported. And, if everything works out as hoped for, I'd imagine Charles Barkley won't mind going 'back to kissing ass.'

Daily Horoscope for June 08, 2025
General Daily Insight for June 08, 2025 Today is positively brimming with possibility. The Moon is in private Scorpio, so we may want to keep to ourselves — that is, until it locks into a quincunx with the Sun in chatty Gemini, drawing us out of our shells. Meanwhile, Mercury will conjoin Jupiter in Gemini, inspiring us to think in bigger and broader terms than ever before. Finally, at 6:58 pm EDT, Mercury will gallop into Cancer for the next couple of weeks. The cosmos is turning up our emotional volume! Aries March 21 – April 19 Your mind cannot work without adequate emotional input. This is especially relevant as mental Mercury catapults itself into your 4th House of Caring. Your heart will probably be doing more leading than your head — even beyond what's normal for your impulsive sign. This can be really lovely, as it encourages you to be beautifully open with others. Conversely, it can also make you rather reactive if you don't keep an eye on yourself. Do your best to avoid letting your emotions overpower your reason. Taurus April 20 – May 20 Get ready to hit the town and check out local events! Mercury is bouncing into your 3rd House of Nearby Noise, stirring up the astrological soundscape and infusing it with entertainment. Why not go see what everyone else is up to? This is a great time to circulate and meet fascinating people, because Mercury is plating up all sorts of exciting dynamics for you to explore. The social value alone should be worth it, but they could even lead to actual profit down the line. Gemini May 21 – June 20 Your finances may need extra focus. That shouldn't be too difficult, luckily, as clear-minded Mercury strides into your 2nd House of Revenue, putting a premium on getting your money in order. Whether you're on the lookout for a new job, a bit more cash, or worthy ways to spend the money you already have, Mercury is motivating you to put out feelers and start the necessary conversations to make it happen. A financial advisor could come in especially handy at this time. Cancer June 21 – July 22 An astrological cloud is finally lifting. After a sleepy tour of your muzzy 12th house, Mercury is diving into your sign, carrying lots of exciting and stimulating energy in its wake. You may feel an undeniable urge to share your thoughts with the world, or perhaps your creativity is suddenly off the charts. Whether your ideas seem realistically possible or not, they have immense value for your future. Be sure to write them down as they arrive so you don't lose track of them. Leo July 23 – August 22 Falling down the rabbit hole doesn't have to be frightening. A certain kind of wonderland is beckoning you as Mercury rolls into your nebulous 12th house. Don your rose-colored glasses and take a look at what the world could be, rather than what it currently is. This is a wonderfully inspiring cycle, but it can be easy to get lost along the way. Avoid veering off too far in any one direction, or else you may find it difficult to navigate back home. Virgo August 23 – September 22 Wrap up your projects and clock out! You deserve to be officially out of office for a while as Mercury leaves your career sector for your 11th House of Global Friendships. This transit is superb for fostering fresh connections while enjoying the ones you've already got. People could be eager to get together and enjoy one another's company, so lean into the festive mood as your friendliest self. You can make some really lovely connections if you don't sit back and stay the wallflower. Libra September 23 – October 22 Let people know what you are all about, Libra. Talkative Mercury is flying into your 10th House of Professional Reputation, reinforcing your ability to coordinate fruitful projects and foster partnerships that will, in turn, move you that much closer to your current end goal. This cycle can also be great for debuts, so if you've been working on something behind the scenes, it may be time for your big reveal. Have your sales pitch ready to go at the drop of a hat! Scorpio October 23 – November 21 Your possibilities are all but endless! Mental Mercury is leaping into your high-minded 9th house, invigorating you to look beyond your usual boundaries and limitations and invest in new ways of understanding the world. You can put this energy to use by furthering your education, perhaps with an online course or even a full return to school. Likewise, travel is highlighted by this sector. If you've got the budget for it, go ahead and book your tickets to a faraway land. Your magic carpet awaits! Sagittarius November 22 – December 21 You're a regular Sherlock all of a sudden. This mysterious and penetrating mental energy is all thanks to Mercury sneaking into your secretive 8th house, making life feel more like a detective novel than anything else. This cycle can sharpen your acumen when it comes to handling some serious issues with clever solutions, but it can also make you a little paranoid if you're not careful. Steer clear of creating drama or intrigue where there doesn't need to be any. Save yourself that headache. Capricorn December 22 – January 19 Two minds are better than one. You can accomplish more than ever as Mercury jogs into your collaboration sector, provided you are willing to team up in pursuit of your goals. This can improve romantic relationships, but Mercury will also be blessing professional and platonic connections. Think in terms of dynamic duos, no matter the situation, and it'll be tough to go wrong. No matter the length of the connection, Mercury will blow a special wind to fill your sails with productive potential. Aquarius January 20 – February 18 You've got your methods of organization, even if they look chaotic to others. Mercury is marching into your meticulous 6th house, so you should have no trouble getting in the groove over the next couple weeks. This phase is terrific for figuring out updated ways to improve the flow of your daily life by working smarter, not harder. The 6th house also rules wellness, so if you've lost track of certain health habits, Mercury's presence here can buoy you to get back in shape. Pisces February 19 – March 20 Focus on fun! You are entering a run of good luck, allowing you to let loose with little reservation alongside Mercury shimmying into your 5th House of Creativity. The cosmic mood is all about making the most of what's on offer and living life to the fullest. Leave mundane and boring matters for another time, only tending to the chores that are absolutely necessary. Fill the rest of your schedule with as much pleasure and pampering as you possibly can. You've earned it.

Miley Cyrus drips in crystals while turning heads with risqué sheer dress
Miley Cyrus is leaving little to the imagination in her latest daring ensemble. The "Flowers" singer turned heads in a sheer dress dripping in crystals for the screening of her visual album, "Something Beautiful," at the Tribeca Film Festival. Cyrus, 32, wore a plunging naked dress embellished with crystals. A nude bodysuit was revealed underneath with ivory-colored fringes at the bottom. She completed her look with a matching fringe jacket. The red carpet ensemble was an SS25 Schiaparelli by Daniel Roseberry net dress. The pop star accessorized with a cream-colored matching clutch, designed with a unique gold face, and she wore matching pointed heels. Cyrus' hair was styled in Hollywood waves. "Seeing Something Beautiful on the big screen at @tribeca @beacontheatre surrounded by the screams of the audience, was so worth every bit of effort lovingly labored into this visual album," she wrote on Instagram. "Tonight was emotional, deep, fun & fabulous. All my favorite things, but YOU the crowd were my absolute favorite of all. I love you." Earlier this week, Cyrus stepped out in yet another bold outfit in New York City. She wore a sheer Ludovic de Saint Sernin black dress, which she accessorized with black underwear and no bra. The former Disney star also paired the look with black sunglasses and high heels and wore her blonde hair in an old-fashioned updo with curled bangs. She was photographed in the chic look as she signed vinyls for fans. The actress posted photos of her daring outfit on Instagram with the caption, "Posed with the beautiful people who showed up at 30 Rock for @roughtradenyc." Fans were quick to flood the comments section with compliments. "You're such [an] icon," one fan wrote, while another added, "Damn this dress" with a few fire emojis. A third fan wrote, "What a queen omg," while another wrote, "OKAY OKAY OKAY YOU ATE THIS LOOK UP MAAM." The visual album also includes a corresponding musical movie, which will be released in theaters everywhere June 27. When it comes to the visuals, Cyrus told Harper's Bazaar they were "inspired by Pink Floyd's 'The Wall,'" and she set out to make it with "a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture."
