Young Thug puts his lawyer Brian Steel on new merch ahead of release of new album
Young Thug is turning heads with his latest merch drop—and this time, it's his lawyer getting the spotlight.
As he gears up to release his next album, UY Scuti, Thug unveiled several pieces of promotional merchandise.
One standout item is a t-shirt featuring a picture of his defense attorney, Brian Steel, with the letters 'WWBD' printed above.
The acronym stands for WHAT WOULD BRIAN DO and the shirt is part of a full box set that also includes the upcoming album.
UY Scuti will mark Thug's first full-length album since his 2023 project Business Is Business and his first since being released from jail in connection to the YSL RICO case.
While no exact date has been confirmed, a billboard teasing the new music earlier this month suggested the album is coming in May coinciding with the three-year anniversary of his and Gunna's arrest in the viral RICO case.
Young Thug has been teasing UY Scuti for weeks.
Back in March, he and Mariah the Scientist made a public appearance at an NBA game between the Miami Heat and the Golden State Warriors where they held up a jersey featuring the album name on the back.
The name UY Scuti comes from one of the largest known stars in the universe. As for the album's features, things are still under wraps.
In March, Future posted the title on X with no explanation.
Meanwhile, Brian Steel, who played a key role in defending Young Thug, has already taken on another high-profile client.
He's now involved in Diddy's legal defense team.
Earlier this week, Steel joined the case just weeks before Diddy's trial is set to begin. The Bad Boy mogul was arrested back in September on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Diddy has pleaded not guilty and continues to maintain his innocence. Jury selection begins May 5th.

Lamar Odom ordered to vacate LA mansion over unpaid rent
Former NBA star Lamar Odom, 45, has been ordered to vacate a Los Angeles rental property after being sued for allegedly failing to pay $45,000 in rent. The landlord, Executive Recovery Group, Inc., filed the lawsuit on March 20, claiming Odom entered into an oral month-to-month lease agreement in December 2024 for a Studio City mansion at a monthly rate of $15,000. According to court documents obtained by The Post, Odom missed rent payments for January, February, and March 2025. A three-day notice to pay or vacate the premises was posted on March 11, warning that failure to comply would result in the termination of his lease. The landlord followed up by mailing a copy of the notice and, on March 17, formally ended the agreement through what's known as an 'election of forfeiture,' effectively revoking Odom's right to stay at the property. After Odom failed to respond to the lawsuit, the court ruled in favor of Executive Recovery Group, Inc. on April 28, granting them possession of the home and ordering Odom to leave. In addition to seeking unpaid rent, the sublessor also requested attorney fees and damages. This latest legal development adds to a difficult chapter in Odom's life. The former Lakers forward, previously married to Khloé Kardashian, suffered a near-fatal overdose in 2015, leading to 12 strokes and six heart attacks while in a coma. Though Kardashian paused their divorce during his recovery, it was finalized in 2016. Since then, Odom has spoken publicly about his experience and launched the Odom Wellness Treatment Centers to support others facing addiction. The property in question has also been previously leased by the late rapper Mac Miller, who filmed his MTV series there before his death in 2018.

50 Cent uses Diddy's anti-Trump video to block possible pardon
Rapper 50 Cent is actively working to block fellow hip-hop mogul Diddy from receiving a potential presidential pardon from Donald Trump. On June 2, 50 Cent posted a resurfaced video from 2020 that shows Diddy fiercely criticizing Trump, warning of a 'race war' if he were reelected. The footage, originally aired on Diddy's own Revolt News network, features him stating, 'If Trump gets elected, I really do believe there'll be a race war... White men like Trump need to be banished.' 50 Cent shared the video on Instagram shortly after Trump revealed he might consider granting a pardon to Diddy. Speaking to reporters on May 30, Trump said he had not yet received a formal request but would evaluate it if one came. He also acknowledged the pair's strained relationship, stating, 'He used to really like me a lot... I'd read some nasty statements he made.' Diddy is currently facing multiple felony charges in New York federal court, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. The legal pressure has raised speculation about whether he might seek presidential clemency—something Trump has extended to rappers like Lil Wayne and Kodak Black in the past. 50 Cent, who has a long-running feud with Diddy, made it clear he won't let that happen. In a prior post, he warned Trump: 'He's gonna ask you for a pardon, don't do it. He said things about you.' This latest move intensifies the personal and political rivalry between two of hip hop's most powerful figures, turning their feud into a battle over justice and influence.

50 Cent warns Trump against pardoning Diddy amid federal sex trafficking trial
Rapper 50 Cent has spoken out against any potential pardon of Sean 'Diddy' Combs by President Donald Trump, vowing to personally make the president 'aware' of his objections. The comments come after Trump said he would consider clemency for Diddy, who is currently on trial for multiple federal charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and coercion. 'Nobody's asked, but I know people are thinking about it,' Trump said when asked about a pardon. He noted he hadn't followed the trial closely and hadn't spoken to Combs 'in years.' In response, 50 Cent — real name Curtis Jackson — posted a video clip of Trump's remarks to Instagram, writing: 'He said some really bad things about Trump. It's not ok. I'm gonna reach out so he knows how I feel about this guy.' On Saturday, the rapper doubled down, stating, 'Donald doesn't take well to disrespect… while working tirelessly to make America great again, there is no room for distraction.' 50 Cent and Diddy's strained relationship dates back to 2006, when Jackson accused Combs of knowing who killed Biggie Smalls. More recently, Diddy's name came up during trial testimony from Capricorn Clark, a former employee who claimed to overhear a discussion involving firearms between Diddy and 50 Cent's manager Chris Lighty. Diddy, arrested in September 2024, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Federal authorities allege he used threats, manipulation, and violence over two decades to exploit victims. Despite past praise between Trump and Diddy — including mutual acknowledgments of friendship in 2012 and 2015 — their relationship appears fractured. Trump has already issued pardons to celebrities, activists, and former allies during his second term, raising questions about the potential use of executive clemency in high-profile cases.
