JEDDAH E-PRIX DOUBLE-HEADER BECOMES MOST-WATCHED FORMULA E WEEKEND IN HISTORY, DATA ANALYSIS SHOWS
Held under the lights of the iconic Jeddah Corniche Circuit on February 14-15, the races marked the championship's thrilling debut in the Red Sea city after six successful seasons in Diriyah. Jeddah's unique night racing spectacle, coupled with a state-of-the-art circuit and electric atmosphere, has cemented the Kingdom's growing reputation as a premier destination for world-class motorsport.
Jeddah is confirmed to once again host the only double-header night races on the Formula E calendar in Season 12, which will be held on February 13-14, 2026.
In addition to the record-setting Jeddah rounds, Formula E has seen exceptional growth this season with the data analysis showing unprecedented audience growth across TV and social media for the first half of the 2024-25 season, with its cumulative audience due to surpass 500 million by the end of Season 11.
Digital audiences analysed through Emplifi have also shown impressive growth, with social video views and engagement up 13% and 12% respectively, underscoring the vibrant and interactive fan community the series continues to build.
The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship's 11th season – which started in São Paulo in December 2024 and will culminate in London on July 26-27 – has so far delivered some of the most exciting racing action in world motorsport, while continually pushing the boundaries of electric performance.
So far this season, its 22 world-class drivers have engaged in intense, head-to-head competition, captivating fans with epic battles on iconic circuits and nail-biting finishes at new venues.
Fans around the globe have tuned in and turned up in greater numbers than ever before, drawn by compelling racing and a shared vision for sustainable and cutting-edge innovation.

The Jeddah double-header (Rounds 3 & 4) smashed records with 65 million global cumulative viewers, making it the most-watched Formula E weekend in history.
Mexico City (Round 2) delivered the highest ever single-race TV audience in Formula E history, with a cumulative global audience of 44 million.
In the United States, CBS' coverage of Mexico City set a new benchmark as the most-watched Formula E broadcast ever in the country, reaching 11 million viewers.
In France, Round 8 in Monaco delivered a 25% increase in viewership compared to Season 10's race.
Tokyo (Rounds 9) saw the biggest Formula E TV audience ever in Japan, with the race recording a 20% higher audience than S10 on Fuji TV.

Formula E rookie test pits women alongside the men in Berlin
Formula E would love to have a female driver back on the starting grid but, on times alone, the all-electric series' rookie test in Berlin on Monday suggested that it remained some way off. Four women took part in the test after weekend races at Tempelhof but the highest in the overall classification was Abbi Pulling, last year's F1 Academy champion and current GB3 competitor, in 17th with the Nissan team. Fellow-Briton Ella Lloyd, who competes in British F4 and F1 Academy, was 18th for McLaren and Jamie Chadwick, three-times winner of the now-defunct W Series and a Williams F1 development driver now racing in European Le Mans, was 19th for Jaguar. Bianca Bustamante of the Philippines, a GB3 racer with 1.7 million followers on Instagram, was 22nd and last for the Cupra Kiro team although the entire grid was separated by just 1.550 seconds. Italian Gabriele Mini was overall fastest for Nissan in a field that included former F1 racer Daniil Kvyat, Charles Leclerc's younger brother Arthur and leading Formula Two drivers. Formula E chief executive Jeff Dodds told Reuters ahead of the test that he was optimistic a woman would make it back onto the grid before too long. "We went from no women testing really, to 20 women in the official women's test last year and off the back of that we've actually got four women testing in the actual rookie test now in Berlin," he said. "So that's a big jump, we've made progress. "In the end the teams will make a choice based on what their objectives are in terms of building a fan base, promoting themselves as a team, bringing on sponsors and partners and being as successful as they can be. "It may not be next year but I would love over the next couple of years to see women back racing on that grid." Three women have raced in the series, which is now in its 11th season -- Britain's Katherine Legge twice in 2014, Switzerland's Simona de Silvestro started 12 times in 2015-16 and Michela Cerruti four times in 2014-15. De Silvestro is the only one to have scored points. Unlike Formula E, Formula One has not had a woman start a race since Lella Lombardi in 1976. Pulling, who was top in last year's all-female test, told Reuters recently she saw Formula E as "a really viable career path in the future". "For now I'm going to keep going up the ladder as far as possible and see where things take me," she said. Marquez battles back to win German MotoGP sprint
Marc Marquez overcame a first turn mistake to land the German MotoGP sprint race on the final lap at a slippery Sachsenring on Saturday. The runaway championship leader started on pole but the Ducati factory rider went wide at the first corner to drop back to fifth, with Marco Bezzecchi inheriting the lead. On lap three Franco Morbidelli suffered a bone-crunching crash at turn eight, the Ducati VR46 rider somersaulting through through the air before landing on the gravel safety run-off area. With 10 laps to go Marquez had crept up into third as Bezzecchi (Aprilia) led by over one second from Fabio Quartararo, Yamaha's former champion who had set off from the third row of the grid. He then went in pursuit of Bezzecchi, hitting the front on the final lap to pull clear and leave the Italian in his wake, Quartararo hanging on for third. Bezzecchi was far from downhearted at coming off second best to the man of the moment. 'It's always difficult to lose the battle in the end but I have to say (it was) a very positive day for me,' he said. 'Hopefully tomorrow will be dry.' This was Marquez's 10th Saturday dash win out of 11, and it consolidated his hold on the 2025 world title. The Spaniard increased his lead over younger brother Alex (eighth on Saturday) by 10 points to 78. Marquez senior will be hot favourite for Sunday's main race as he targets a seventh perfect weekend of victories in the sprint and race this year. The grid will be missing Maverick Vinales, the KTM-Tech 3 rider forced to pull out after suffering a fracture to his left shoulder from a heavy fall in qualifying. Meanwhile, Jaguar's Mitch Evans won the first of two Formula E races in Berlin on Saturday as Nissan's Oliver Rowland failed to finish on a grey and soggy afternoon that left the Briton's title bid on hold for another day at least. Rowland would have been champion with three races to spare had he finished 69 points clear of closest rival Pascal Wehrlein but instead he retired with a damaged car and his lead reduced to 50.
