Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 Episode 1 Written Updates: The much-awaited reboot of Ekta Kapoor's iconic daily soap, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, premiered on July 29, and Episode 1 delivered a heavy dose of nostalgia, tradition and fresh drama. Smriti Irani returns as Tulsi Virani, the soul of the show, and her comeback scene — performing aarti outside the Virani household — instantly transports viewers to the golden era of Indian TV.
The episode opens with a powerful throwback to the original as the classic title track plays, now woven with the entry of new characters like Ritik (Aman Gandhi), Angad (Rohit Suchanti), and Paridhi (Shagun Sharma). Familiar faces including Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan, Ritu Chaudhary, Ketki Dave and Shakti Anand also return, offering a perfect blend of old and new.
As Tulsi manages household chores and prepares for her 38th wedding anniversary with Mihir (Amar Upadhyay), emotions run high. She reminisces about Baa and her late mother-in-law, grounding the episode in family values and emotional depth.
Conflict begins to simmer as Gayatri chachi (Kamalika Guha) plots against Tulsi, feeling overshadowed in the household. She urges her son Hemant (Shakti Anand) to claim control, but he refuses, saying Tulsi and Mihir are his role models.
Meanwhile, the next-gen trio—Paridhi, Angad, and Ritik—are introduced with their own emotional complexities. Paridhi, feeling alienated, confides in her boyfriend but is cautioned by Angad not to misjudge Tulsi's intentions.
A moment of misunderstanding arises when Mihir forgets to wish Tulsi, leaving her heartbroken. But he redeems himself with a heartfelt surprise—gifting her a luxury car and sharing an emotional anniversary wish that brings tears and closure.
The episode ends with Gayatri scheming in the shadows while Tulsi prays for her family's happiness, signaling that this new era of Kyunki will retain its iconic emotional pull while introducing fresh drama.

Actor Faisal Malik says RGV, Anurag Kashyap changed the game for struggling actors

'Panchayat' actor Faisal Malik, who rose to fame for his role in the widely loved Prime series, recently spoke about how filmmakers like Ram Gopal Varma and Anurag Kashyap changed the face of Indian cinema by breaking the long-held stereotype that actors must look a certain way to an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Faisal reflected on how these directors opened doors for average-looking people with genuine talent. 'I think it is Ram Gopal Varma who made us believe that we don't have to have an attractive physique to be an actor. The era 2003-2004 was all about 'acting aaye na aaye body hona chahiye' (You need to look fit to be an actor),' he Faisal has never worked directly with Ram Gopal Varma, he fondly recalled visiting his production house, Factory. 'I visited his office, Factory, once. They, however, didn't let me meet him. So, I returned from there,' he said. He also mentioned how aspiring actors would gather outside the office, hoping to be cast by RGV. 'There used to be a bread pakoda stall outside Factory. People used to stand in huge queues there because they believed that hanging out there might increase their chances of being picked by Ram Gopal Varma. Everybody knew he only picked average-looking people for his movies.'Faisal believes that Anurag Kashyap carried this inclusive casting forward. 'After Ram Gopal Varma, it is Anurag Kashyap who took this forward of working with average-looking people. There was a time when people used to fear that if you don't look a certain way, you cannot be an actor. But, that has changed. Now, you see there are many great actors out there who may not have good looks or attractive physique.'Faisal began his acting journey with Kashyap's 2012 cult film 'Gangs of Wasseypur' and has continued to collaborate with him. Speaking highly of the filmmaker, he said, 'Anurag Kashyap is that rare person who knows what he is making. He knows his work.'He also addressed Anurag's frequent outbursts on social media, saying, 'If you will look at Anurag Kashyap's work, you will know why all the outbursts happen. He is someone who has worked as a showrunner, writer, producer as well as director. He is extremely loyal. Aur imaandaar aadmi tedha hota hai thoda sa. Satak jata hai (And an honest man is usually a little quirky. He tends to lose his temper sometimes.)'Praising Kashyap's deep commitment to cinema, Faisal added, 'He is someone who breathes cinema. He is so deeply invested in it that he cannot do anything else. Even moving a simple coffee machine will be a task for him, but cinema? He can discuss it all day long without getting tired.'Justifying Anurag's frustration with the industry, he concluded, 'He has made several iconic films and has given several amazing directors to the industry. They are all doing so well today. This proves he is extremely dedicated to cinema. So, whenever someone wrongs him or wants him to compromise with his craft, woh satak jaate hai. When it comes to cinema, he is a great man.'Faisal Malik became a household name with 'Panchayat', a show that became an unexpected hit during the pandemic. Starring Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Jitendra Kumar, and Chandan Roy, the series stood out for its simplicity, realism, and relatable characters, none of whom were conventional 'heroes,' but all of whom connected deeply with audiences.- EndsMust Watch

Top 10 Biggest 3rd Weekend For Indian Movies In United Kingdom: Saiyaara takes the throne with a HISTORIC near GBP 500,000 gross

Saiyaara, is making waves at the box office, especially in the United Kingdom. Directed by Mohit Suri and starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda among others, the movie, after an unbelievable run in India, is now turning it on in UK by not just challenging the biggest of blockbusters in its third weekend, but social distancing itself from other titles and leading the pack with almost a double margin. Saiyaara Takes The Throne For The Highest Collections Registered By An Indian Movie In The 3rd Weekend In UK Saiyaara has claimed the title of being the biggest third weekend earner among Indian movies in the UK, raking in an impressive GBP 489k. The next best third weekend is of Pathaan, with collections of USD 282k. There are a few very old titles like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Veer Zaara part of the list, along with last decade's all time blockbusters - Bajrangi Bhaijaan, PK and Dangal. The Biggest 3rd Weekend For Indian Movies In United Kingdom Are As Under Rank Movie 3rd Weekend UK Gross (GBP) 1 Saiyaara 489k 2 Pathaan 282k 3 Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham 270k 4 PK 224k 5 Jawan 207k 6 Veer Zaara 200k 7 Bajrangi Bhaijaan 192k 8 Animal 181k 9 Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani 180k 10 Dangal 177k United Kingdom Once Used To Be India's Biggest International Market UK, once upon a time, used to be India's biggest international market, ahead of the Middle East and North America. Over the years, the latter two markets became the ones where bulk of the business for Indian movies came from. Oceania is now stepping up but UK still remains the third biggest market for Indian movies currently. Saiyaara Crosses GBP 2 Million In UK The total collections of Saiyaara have crossed GBP 2 million. This has been crossed by Indian movies, just 15 times, and that proves how difficult it is. The movie stands at GBP 2.05 million (USD 2,750,000). With the way that the movie is still holding up at the box office, there are chances of a GBP 3 million finish. That would make it just the third Indian movie after Pathaan and Jawan to breach that number. Saiyaara In Theatres

Ioan Gruffudd On Deleted Wolverine Scene In Fantastic Four: ‘I Played Both'

Ioan Gruffudd recently quipped about the now-deleted crossover between Mister Fantastic and Wolverine. Ioan Gruffudd recently opened up about the 'wolverine scene' in the 2005 movie, Fantastic Four. The actor, who played Reed Richards, aka Mister Fantastic, in the superhero film, revealed that he doesn't know why the scene was scrapped. But he also jokingly mentioned how he has been part of both the roles even if for a brief period. In a surprising turn of events in the American superhero movie, Fantastic Four, Reed Richards was briefly transformed into Wolverine from the X-Men film franchise. His face was being morphed in an attempt to impress Sue Storm, played by Jessica Alba. However, the scene, which was a lighthearted nod to the X-Men franchise, was deleted from the final cut of the film. Recently, wondering about one of the earliest crossovers in superhero cinema, Ioan Gruffudd told Vulture in a recent interview, 'I don't know why that didn't make it into the film." Ioan Gruffudd On The Fantastic Four Scene Featuring Wolverine In the same conversation, the 51-year-old actor revealed that he was unaware of the real reason the scene was cut, but he feels glad to have been a part of it. 'Paying homage to the great Hugh Jackman was quite a thrill because I absolutely love him as an actor and his Wolverine. I'm glad that it has a chance to exist somewhere," he said. Gruffudd revealed how the scene was actually made, 'I was in Vancouver on a soundstage and Jessica (Alba) was in New York, so we weren't actually together, but we look perfectly in sync," he added. Ioan Gruffudd Reveals Playing Both Mister Fantastic And Wolverine Some of the audience mentioned that the scrapping of the scene might be due to its noticeably weak CGI. In contrast, others thought that the makers wanted to avoid the complications related to the collaboration of the Fantastic Four and X-Men universes. At this point of the conversation, Gruffudd technically joked that he has 'played both Mister Fantastic and Wolverine", even if that is 'For a brief second, yes, that's a good pub-quiz question." Legacy Of Mister Fantastic Role After Gruffudd portrayed Reed Richards, the Fantastic Four leader who had the power to stretch his body, also reprised his role in the 2007 sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. In the 2015 reboot movie, Miles Teller played the character which turned into a college-age genius by then. Finally, in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which premiered on July 25, Pedro Pascal took on the original role and has been winning hearts.
