'No anti-national statements': Kiren Rijiju's advice to Rahul Gandhi over his foreign policy remarks; reiterates 'Pakistani language' attack
NEW DELHI: Parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju hit back at Rahul Gandhi with a suggestion that as "the leader of the opposition (in Lok Sabha), he should not say anything anti-national.
" Reiterating his attack of "speaking language of Pakistan," Rijiju questioned Rahul's intentions behind attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi over foreign policy, pointing out that 'opposition also has a role in doing good work for the country."
"Now you blame the prime minister for foreign policy, instead of uniting the country, you speak against the Prime Minister of the country. What does the country gain from this? Opposition does not mean abusing the country.
The opposition also has a role in doing good work for the country. When it comes to foreign policy, we should not be divided," Rijiju said.
During the Congress government, we did not attack the prime minister separately on foreign policy. The way Rahul Gandhi tries to mislead people on foreign policy by speaking the language of Pakistan, it harms the country. We will suggest to him that as the leader of the opposition, he should not say anything anti-national," he added.

The Centre has informed that agricultural loans worth over ₹ 28.5 lakh crore are outstanding but ruled out any plans for a waiver, minister of state in the ministry of finance Pankaj Chaudhary said in response to a question in Lok Sabha on Monday. The MPs had also asked 'whether any specific categories of farmers marginal, small, tenant, SC/ST are more burdened with outstanding loans and if so, the details thereof' to which the government said that 'NABARD All India Rural Financial Inclusion Survey (NAFIS) for the period of 2021-2022 indicates a generally positive relationship between landholding size and household indebtedness, with the proportion of indebted households increasing as land size increases, up to 1 hectare. Beyond this threshold, a marginal decline in the incidence of indebtedness is observed among households with larger landholdings.' India to resume tourist visas for Chinese citizens after five years
India will resume issuing tourist visas to Chinese nationals after a five-year gap, starting July 24, Reuters quoted the Indian embassy in Beijing as saying on Wednesday.
