The song Singularity served as an intro to the K-pop supergroup's 2018 studio album, Love Yourself: Tear.
BTS has hit yet another milestone with their music. Their 2018 release, Singularity, which is a part of their sixth studio album Love Yourself: Tear, just entered the 200 million club on YouTube. The track is a solo by BTS member V, also known as Kim Taehyung, and the music video features him alongside other background dancers. It was released on May 6, 2018.
As reported by Soompi, the video titled 'BTS LOVE YOURSELF Tear 'Singularity' Comeback Trailer" hit 200 million views on YouTube on Thursday, July 10, at approximately 4:55 PM KST. The video served as an intro to the K-pop supergroup's 2018 studio album. The music video took over seven years to achieve this feat.
Written by Charlie J. Perry and BTS' leader RM, Singularity was released a second time as part of the group's third compilation album, Love Yourself: Answer, in August 2018. Through the R&B song, V tells the story of love and loss.
Speaking of BTS, the seven-member Korean boy band, comprising RM, Jin, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, V and Jungkook, was on hiatus from 2022 due to their respective mandatory military service. In June of this year, the septet reunited after completing their duties. To take the excitement surrounding their return a notch higher, they announced the release of their first-ever live album, titled Permission to Dance on Stage – Live. Scheduled to drop on July 18, the album will feature performances from their Permission to Dance tour.
Not only that, the K-pop group will be making their grand return as a unit next year. During a Weverse live, all the members confirmed that they have started working on a brand-new album, which will be released sometime between March and May in 2026. Moreover, to work on their new music, BTS even jetted off to the United States.
They will be In Los Angeles for nearly two months for a special songwriting camp and will be working with international producers for their new album. BTS would be releasing a new full-length album, whose theme, music and direction are all personally planned by the septet. If all goes as planned, this would be their first full album in six years, since Map of the Soul: 7 in 2020, which was a follow-up to their 2019 extended play Map of the Soul: Persona. Following the release of their album, BTS will also embark on their much-awaited world tour.

War 2 Box Office Day 4: Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR Film Drops To Rs 31 Crore, Lowest Since Release

Last Updated: War 2 box office day 4: Hrithik Roshan–Jr NTR starrer drops to Rs 31 crore on Sunday, marking a 40% fall from its opening day. War 2 released on August 14. War 2 Box Office Collection Day 4: War 2 had a thunderous start at the box office, but its momentum slowed sharply by the end of its first weekend. The Hrithik Roshan–Jr NTR action thriller, part of the YRF Spy Universe, hit a big dip on Sunday, collecting an estimated Rs 31 crore (India net), its lowest figure since release on August 14. War 2 Opening weekend numbers The sequel opened strong at Rs 52.5 crore on day one and peaked further on Friday at Rs 57.35 crore. However, Saturday's numbers slipped to Rs 33.25 crore, followed by a steeper fall on Sunday. In comparison, Siddharth Anand's 2019 War had brought in ₹37.5 crore on its first Sunday – higher than the sequel despite releasing mid-week. War 2 Occupancy and regional splits On day four, War 2 recorded 27.85% occupancy for its Hindi 2D version. Tamil shows stood stronger at 42.96%, while Telugu screenings registered 30.12%. By Saturday, the film had already crossed Rs 215 crore worldwide, including ₹142.6 crore net from India. The Hindi version contributed Rs 99.5 crore, while Tamil and Telugu earned Rs 90 lakh and Rs 42.2 crore respectively. Overseas collections added around ₹45 crore. War 2 Reviews And Rating The action entertainer, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is mounted on a reported Rs 300–400 crore budget with Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani leading the cast. But despite its scale, reviews have been largely unfavourable. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh rated the film just 1.5 stars, writing, 'Weakest film in #YRFSpyUniverse… Has star power, scale, style, stunts – but lacks soul… Writing is the biggest culprit here… Not even #HrithikRoshan and #NTR can save this royal mess." Can War 2 catch up? War (2019) remains Hrithik Roshan's highest grosser with Rs 319 crore lifetime earnings. With War 2 already crossing the Rs 200 crore mark globally, the big question is whether it can recover from its early dip and get close to that benchmark. Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR's War 2 News18 Review News18 Showsha rated War 2 with a 2.5/5 stars. An excerpt from our review read: 'At 2 hours 50 minutes, War 2 tries to go full throttle but often skids into chaos. A thriller of this scale definitely needed crisper editing. Instead, what we get is a bunch of long-drawn flashbacks that dilute the pace, stripping the film of any solid edge-of-the-seat, nail-biting moment. But what needs to be truly spoken about are its action sequences. One thing is clear – Kabir and Vikram/Rahu are immortal. Nothing can kill them. Bullets, swords, fire, icicles, nothing. Most importantly, they can fly. They fly over land and water." First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive. Coolie Box Office Collection Day 4: Rajinikanth Film Continues To Dip, But Inches Towards Rs 200 Cr

Last Updated: Coolie Box Office Collection: Despite a dip in the figures, Coolie has maintained strong ticket sales and has stayed ahead of War 2. Coolie Box Office Collection: Rajinikanth's Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, opened to a record-breaking reception at the box office on August 14. With massive bookings ahead of release, the film grossed around Rs 150 crore worldwide on its first day, making it the highest-opening Tamil film ever. On its first Sunday, the film minted Rs 35 crore. As per the report published by Sacnilk, Coolie earned Rs 35 crore in India (net) on its fourth day for all languages. This brings the film's total domestic total to Rs 194.25 crore. This film is slowly inching towards the Rs 200 crore mark and will likely hit it today. Coolie had an overall 63.75% Tamil occupancy on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Theatres in Chennai, Trichy, Dindigul and Coimbatore saw the most footfall. It had an overall 41.98% Hindi occupancy on Sunday, with Hyderabad, Bangalore and Lucknow leading the charge. As for Telugu, Coolie had an overall 49.53% occupancy. Rajinikanth's fans in Chennai and Hyderabad rushed to theatres in large numbers. Coolie Worldwide Box Office Collection Despite a dip in the figures, Coolie has maintained strong ticket sales. Overseas, the film earned over $12 million in the first two days and crossed $15 million by the third day. Overall, Coolie's worldwide gross has crossed Rs 320 crore, setting a new milestone for Tamil cinema in 2025. Analysts predict the film could reach Rs 600 crore worldwide, challenging Rajinikanth's own records with 2.0 and Jailer. Only three Tamil films have ever crossed this mark, with Rajinikanth leading with two and Vijay's Leo in the third. The film's phenomenal box office performance comes despite mixed reviews from critics, proving Rajinikanth's stardom. Coolie also arrives at a significant milestone in Rajinikanth's career, celebrating 50 years of his unmatched stardom. Coolie is also facing intense competition from Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's War 2, but has managed to stay ahead of the film since they were released. However, in order to enter the Rs 600 crore club, the film needs to hold its own in its second and third weeks. Coolie Review The climax, which includes Aamir Khan's cameo and several unexpected twists, has become a major talking point. News18 Showsha's review praised the spectacle, stating, 'The climax is packed not just with action, but the famous cameo appearance by Aamir Khan. The plot twists don't end there. Wait till you watch the tail-end scene to be taken back in time. Overall, Lokesh Kanagaraj has managed to bring a banger to the theatres that need to be enjoyed on the big screen with a hall filled with Rajini fans." News18 Showsha gave the film 4/5 stars. Rajinikanth Reveals He Once Worked As A Coolie: ‘Cried For The First Time In My Life'

With Rs 150 crore on Day 1, Coolie has become the highest-opening Tamil film ever. Rajinikanth's latest film Coolie has arrived in theatres, and celebrations have taken over across the country as fans are once again witnessing the unmatched aura of Thalaivar. Yet, beyond the frenzy and fanfare, the film holds a deeply personal significance for the superstar. It is known that Rajinikanth once worked as a bus conductor before stepping into the world of cinema. What many may not know, however, is that he also briefly worked as a coolie. Decades later, life comes full circle as he embodies that very role in Coolie, a story about a former union leader who takes on a corrupt syndicate. At a recent promotional event, the superstar left fans and his team deeply moved as he recalled a memory from those early years 'Father Asked To Work As A Coolie" Rajinikanth was born as Shivaji Rao Gaekwad in Karnataka. His father was a police constable, while his mother was a homemaker. After his mother's passing, he spent time in an ashram where he acted in plays. Later, he worked briefly as a coolie. Recalling the incident, Rajinikanth said, 'My father once strictly ordered me to work as a coolie, lifting sacks. I said, 'Okay.' I loaded three sacks onto a handcart and set off. What was supposed to be a quick 500-meter trip turned into a 1 to 1.5 km haul. Because an accident had caused a traffic diversion." 'No Easy Task" He went on to describe how difficult the task became, stating, 'Balancing those sacks was no easy task. The road was full of lorries, buses, and cars, and every bump or pothole threatened my load. At one point, I lost balance — a sack tumbled down. People yelled at me from all sides. Bus passengers shouted, random bystanders questioned, 'Why are you bringing this on the road? Who gave you this handcart?' I suppose I looked too skinny to be doing the job." Still, he picked up the sack, pushed through and somehow reached his destination. 'Cried For First Time In My Life" Even after completing the work, he faced another challenge. 'My uncle told me, 'Three sacks came — load them into the tempo.' I said, 'Okay,' and did it. Then I asked for the money," he recalled. 'The man handed me Rs 2 and said, 'Keep this as a tip!' I recognised the voice — it was Muniswamy, my college mate, the same guy I used to tease. He looked at me and said, 'You acted so big, and now look at you!' Leaning on those sacks, I cried. That was the first time in my life I cried," the actor added. Coolie Creates History Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie also features Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir and Upendra with a special cameo by Aamir Khan. The film has already created history at the box office. With massive advance bookings, early estimates confirm that Coolie grossed around Rs 150 crore worldwide on its opening day, which makes it the highest-opening Tamil film ever.
