NFL star Travis Kelce wants to ‘do good' with fame from dating Taylor Swift
Speaking about increased media scrutiny in an interview with British GQ, Kelce said: 'You can't block that (attention) out. If someone says something that they don't like about you, you have to be able to understand how you are portraying yourself for them to say that.
'I don't want anyone to say anything negative about me. Some people don't give a f***. I'm someone who does care.
'I do want people to look at me like I'm doing good in the world, I'm influencing and using my platform for the better, being a role model, being somebody that has done it the right way.'
But Kelce said he was not offended by being dubbed a 'meathead jock', and added he finds it funny and that 'acting like you're the smartest one in the room just isn't the way to go'.
He said that as well as being the 35-year-old Shake It Off singer's boyfriend, he was also a 'fan' of her music, and enjoyed seeing her come to his matches.
The American footballer went on to speak about Swift's similarities to his mother Donna, adding: 'Their kindness, their genuineness, their ability to say hello to everyone in the room.
'Their ability to show love and support no matter what. And on top of that, their work ethic. I saw my mother reach goals that she had set for herself, go from being a teller to working all the way up in the KeyBank building.
'I've seen Taylor do the exact same thing of setting goals for herself and exceeding the expectations and really captivating the world in that regard.'
During his NFL career, Kelce has won three Super Bowls, and hosts the New Heights podcast alongside his brother Jason, who is a retired NFL player.

Drag Me to Hell horror film star Lorna Raver dies aged 81
Lorna Raver, best known for starring in horror films The Caller and Drag Me to Hell, has died aged 81. The American actress' death was announced in the In Memoriam section of SAG-AFTRA's Summer 2025 magazine edition, per The Hollywood Reporter. Although limited details were given, it was shared that she died on May 12. Born in York, Pennsylvania, Raver had early acting experience performing at the Hedgerow Theater in her home state. She then moved to New York City, appearing off-Broadway in the premieres of Last Days at the Dixie Girl Cafe and Between Daylight and Boonville. After spending several years working as a stage actress in Chicago, she then moved to Los Angeles, where she continued appearing in theatre productions but also took on screen roles. In 2006 she joined the soap The Young and the Restless for a year, playing concentration camp survivor Rebecca Kaplan who comes out of hiding. But it was three years later when she earnt critical acclaim for playing Mrs Ganush in Sam Raimi's horror film Drag Me to Hell. Written before Raimi started working on the Spider Man film trilogy, the movie followed a loan officer who chooses not to extend the mortgage of the elderly Mrs Ganush, and then has a curse placed on her that involves facing three days of escalating torment before being plunged into the depths of Hell to burn for eternity. Drag Me to Hell premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and was a critical and commercial success. It grossed $90.8million (£66million) worldwide on a $30million (£22million) budget. It also won the Saturn Award for Best Horror Film at the 36th Saturn Awards. More Trending Raver then went on to appear in the 2011 British supernatural horror film The Caller, playing the character of Rose. Away from the screen, Raver was also an audiobook narrator for Tantor, Books on Tape, and Blackstone Audio. Her partner of 25 years, Yuri Rasovsky – who was a Peabody Award winner known for his work as a writer, producer and director for radio and a Grammy nominee – died aged 67 in 2012. How to listen to Taylor Swift on Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast early
Taylor Swift is joining her partner Travis Kelce on his popular podcast, New Heights, and fans can't wait to hear what the Shake It Off star has to say Taylor Swift fans are eager to listen to their idol chat alongside her man on his New Heights podcast - and they may be able to early. The Shake It Off star, 35, will take her fandom of Travis Kelce 's podcast to the next level when she appears on the latest episode. And for those who can't wait until the UK midnight launch time tonight (Wednesday, August 13) there could be a way to get a hold of the content hours beforehand. The upcoming episode is rumoured to be filled with many clues about Taylor's upcoming album, titled The Life of a Showgirl. Earlier on Tuesday, she changed her website to read "Expires August 12 at 12:12 AM ET" along with an orange background. The episode is set to be released stateside at 7pm ET, making it a UK release time of midnight. Fans can watch it on Travis' New Heights YouTube channel. New Heights' official accounts routinely state, including as recently as last week's episode, that by paying for Wondery+ you "can listen to new episodes early and ad-free, and get exclusive content on Wondery+. Join Wondery+ in the Wondery App, Apple Podcasts or Spotify." However, it has not been confirmed whether the Taylor episode will be released early, like all previous episodes. The cost to join is a £5.99 monthly subscription fee for Swifties that fancy taking a chance. The Mirror has approached Wondery for comment regarding this. There is no confirmed release date, but it has been made available for pre-order and will be sent out by October 13. In a teaser, Taylor appeared in a clip with her NFL star boyfriend Travis and his brother Jason, a former NFL player, on their New Heights podcast, where she opened a briefcase with 'TS' printed on it, which contained the album but with its cover blurred out. In the clip, she told the brothers: 'So I wanted to show you something, this is my brand new album, The Life Of A Showgirl." The brothers screamed and Travis shouted 'TS 12'. In a second teaser, Taylor jokingly took aim at the usual demographic for the podcast. 'As we all know, you guys have a lot of male sports fans that listen to your podcast,' she quipped. 'I think we all know that if there's one thing that male sports fans want to see in their spaces and on their screens — it's more of me.'

Over the last few months, the team at City Walk has been busy creating a huge 25,000-square-foot licensed area in the heart of the destination called C2 in order to take the destination's foodie offering up a notch (or two). The area is currently home to eight restaurants but will soon be home to around 11 eateries that offer a diverse range of cuisines and dining experiences. Here's your handy guide on all of City Walk's newest restaurants: Baku Café City Walk restaurants. Credit: Baku Café Named after Azerbaijan's vibrant capital, Baku Café is where traditional Azeri flavours meet modern Dubai dining. The sleek spot first welcomed guests in 2017, later making the move to C2 to elevate its game – now with a curated selection of grape to match the menu. You'll find home-style classics done right: fragrant dolma wrapped in tender grape leaves, sizzling lamb saj straight from the pan, crisp and chewy qutabs, and rich, nutty pilaf fsinjan. After closing in DIFC last year, the Japanese spot launched its first licensed branch. You'll basically feel like you're on the streets of Tokyo, with a menu that features a wide variety of signature ramen dishes, including smoked shio dashi ramen and a vegetarian option. On their soft opening menu, there are new contemporary dishes like wagyu cheese steak sandwich, lobster pops and crispy tuna bites katsu. More dishes are expected to be added in the near future. The C2 location boasts two floors, Burj Khalifa views and a selection of Italian grape. Pizzas – which range from the minimalist marinara to the burrata-loaded 'Burj Khalifa via traditional Napoletana' – are only briefly waved inside the blistering oven before they're slid onto a plate and served. The pizzeria, which was shortlisted in the Time Out Dubai Awards' Best Pizzeria category, hails from Naples, where hungry tourists queue from 10.30am to be first through the door at its original Italian location. Luckily for us, the Dubai branches serve pizza that is just as tasty. And if it's good enough for Julia Roberts i, it's good enough for us. Licensed. Credit: La Serre The OG Parisian-style boulangerie, café and bistro is back – and bringing a taste of the Champs-Élysées to City Walk C2. From buttery croissants and crisp baguettes to classic French plates done right, this chic spot blends the warmth of a neighbourhood café with the polish of a refined bistro. Think soft seats, cool interiors, tasty food, signature cocktails, and hookahs that keep the vibe going. The space mixes open lounges with a VIP area tucked into canyon-like curves for a bit of extra privacy. It's the kind of place you settle into and suddenly realise you've been here all night. Much like its JLT counterpart, the interiors are light, bright and breezy, and the food is absolutely delicious. You can expect dishes such as a fava, a yellow split pea puree, feta in filo pastry, seafood yiouvetsi and kleftiko, a slow-cooked suckling goat. To accompany the fare, Mythos Urban Greek Eatery also serves up authentic Greek grapes, including some unusual varieties. Nola Bijou Bistro & Bar City Walk restaurants. Credit: Fans of Nola Eatery and Social House in JLT will now have another option when the craving for live jazz and Louisiana hospitality strikes. Bringing its famed New Orleans vibes to the new location, Nola in City Walk serves up classics from the popular menu along with some new additions. The menu includes pistachio falafel, lamb and kimchi momos, tacos al pastor, wagyu tenderloin, and more, alongside inventive drinks served with theatrical rituals. Inside, there are pockets of booths which provide a bit of privacy away from the hustle and bustle of a busy restaurant.
