Robert Pattinson Shares Update on ‘The Batman 2': ‘I'm Very Excited'
You are not the only one excited for 'The Batman 2.'
Star Robert Pattinson shared an enticing (but brief) update on the highly anticipated superhero project, telling Extra that he finally knows what the film is about and that he can't wait to wear the cape and mask again. Writer Matt Reeves, however, is doing a great job of cloaking any spoiler-y details.
'I know what it's about now,' Pattinson said. 'Matt [Reeves] is a very careful writer, but I finally now know what it's about. It's very cool and I'm very excited.'
Watch the clip below:
While the actor didn't reveal any other details, Pattinson's little tidbit is the latest on the film, which recently delayed its release to Oct. 1, 2017. The actor will reprise his role as the dark knight. The film was originally set to hit theaters in October of this year, but it was pushed back due to stalled script development during the 2023 actors and writers' strikes.
'The Batman,' which was released in 2022, grossed $772 million worldwide at the box office.
The new release date for 'The Batman 2' gives space from the release date of DC Studios inaugural Superman film from James Gunn, which will be released on July 11. 'Superman: Legacy' is part of the first phase of the DCU, the next attempt by WBD to make an interconnected DC Comics cinematic universe.
As for the follow-up to 'The Batman,' it will remain separate from the otherwise interconnected DC Studios continuity. At a presentation for journalists last year, Gunn noted that such darker, more adult-skewing side stories, like Todd Phillips' 'Joker' or – as he joked, 'Teen Titans Go!' — would be explicitly labeled as a DC Elseworld.
Additionally, Gunn and Safran also revealed that there would be an upcoming movie that will introduce yet another live-action Batman while also introducing Damian Wayne, Bruce Wayne's son who eventually becomes Robin.

Fortnite The current season of Fortnite is about to end, so make sure you've wrapped up all your challenges and finished every tier of the Chapter 6, Season 2 Battle Pass. Only hours remain before a new season drops and the current Star Wars-themed season ends and a new Superman season begins. This was a short, truncated season of content for Fortnite players. The new season is Superman / DC Comics-themed thanks to the upcoming release of James Gunn's new Superman movie starring James Corenswet. The Battle Pass skins are mostly based on DC characters including the new Superman model based on Corenswet from the film. Read on to learn everything you need to know about the new Superhero Academy Chapter 6, Season 3. The current season isn't going out quietly. The Star Wars Galactic Battle wraps up with a major live-event called Death Star Sabotage. Here's when it kicks off on Saturday, June 7th: Players should get queued up early. You can login two hours ahead of the event to hopefully secure your spot (barring any technical problems or overwhelmed servers) and you can do that on mobile now that Fortnite is back in the Google Play and App Stores. There's no exact timing or details on the event, but expect it to last 15 to 20 minutes. Expect servers to go dark by 2:30pm ET. The game will likely go dark for the next few hours, but players will likely be able to hop into Season 3 the evening of Saturday, June 7th (earlier on the West Coast). Already we've started to see the Battle Pass skins leak for Season 3. These include Superman and Robin along with some pickaxes, gliders and more. Superman's dog Krypto is set to join the game as well, likely as some kind of pet companion. New weapons like the Unstable Yoink Shotgun are also coming to the battle royale game. Other items and weapons include • Krypto Treat • Superman Sprite • Unstable Yoink Shotgun • Wingshot Grappler • Deadeye DMR • Killswitch Revolvers • Hyperburst Pistol • Kor's Deadeye DMR • Enhanced Spire Rifle • Myst Gauntlets • Spire Rifle • Tracking Visor. Season 3 Points of Interest and Landmarks include: • Utopia City • Whiffy Wharf • Shogun's Solitude • Supernova Academy • Demon's Domain & Dojo • Spire Spike • Scout Spire • Overlord Spire • Demon's Dojo • Hopeful Heights A number of crossovers and other content drops are slated for Season 3 as well, but as of now we don't have a trailer or any footage to share. I'll update this post if that changes. For now, get ready for a major live-event and a brand new season. Bye bye Star Wars, hello DC Comics.

Report Claims How Much 'Superman' Must Make To Turn A Profit
The upcoming movie Superman has a lot of weight on its shoulders. In addition to having to make back its own budget and turn a profit for Warner Bros. Discovery, James Gunn's Superman has the honor of launching the DC Universe. Now a new report claims just how much Superman must make to turn a profit and boost the DCU going forward. The new live-action endeavor, which features actor David Corenswet as the titular superhero, also includes Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Milly Alcock as Supergirl. As mentioned, the film will fully introduce the DC Universe as a live-action film franchise, one that will use these cast members and various others to carry their films and shows forward. Of course, the DCU's future also depends on the financial success of the film, which is said to have a $225 million budget according to The Wrap. The outlet additionally spoke to a talent agent who offered their insights regarding what the film must make in order to turn a profit. With the $225 million budget in mind, this agent suggests that James Gunn's Superman will have to make as much as $700 million worldwide in order to be called a success by the studio. 'While release dates are important, I don't think the challenge is ' Jurassic World: Rebirth ' or any other film,' they shared. 'The challenge is almost entirely a question of if Superman resonates with today's audience. Did they successfully update an Eisenhower-era character so the 2025 Gen Z audience can identify with him?' 'The simple brand recognition of Superman will probably take them to or close to $500 million worldwide, but anything above that will be because the audience identifies with the title character,' the insider added. Additionally, another source claims $500 million could be enough to turn a profit, but Warner Bros. Discovery is hoping to make much, much more in an effort to rejuvenate the studio. While there are several DC Universe projects in the pipeline regardless of how Superman performs at the box office, the franchise's future could still be much shorter-lived if Superman fails. As such, we'll have to see how Superman plays out when it hits theaters on July 11, 2025 and whether or not it makes a profit. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding this highly-anticipated blockbuster as we have them.
