
Yemeni junior football team win Afghanistan in AFC
Sana'a - Saba:
The national junior football team began its journey in the AFC U-17 Championship finals with a valuable 2-0 victory over Afghanistan in the first round of Group B.
The team's goals were scored by Mohammed Noman in the 24th minute and Mohammed Al-Jarash in the 26th minute from a penalty kick.
The national team will play its second match next Monday against Indonesia, and its final group match will be against South Korea on Thursday.
Sixteen teams are participating in the finals, divided into four groups. The first group includes Uzbekistan, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, and China.
The second group includes Australia, Vietnam, Japan, and the UAE. The third group includes Yemen, Afghanistan, Indonesia, and South Korea. The fourth group includes Oman, Iran, North Korea, and Tajikistan.

PM attends match between Wahda Sana'a & Shabab Hadhramaut for 'Founding Anniversary Cup'
Sana'a - Saba: Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi attended part of the match between Shabab Hadhramaut and host team Wahda Sana'a for the 70th Founding Anniversary Cup (Platinum Jubilee) of Al-Wehda Club. The match began with the Prime Minister honoring referees who have received the FIFA International Referee Badge. The game, held at Al-Wahda Club Stadium in the capital, ended with the visitors winning 2-1, securing the cup for Shabab Hadhramaut. The Hadhrami team opened the scoring early through their standout player, Zaid Al-Jarash, who expertly executed a direct free kick. Al-Jarash returned to add a second goal for Shabab with a deceptive shot that the Wahda goalkeeper couldn't handle, putting his team in a comfortable position. In the second half, Wahda attempted a comeback and managed to narrow the gap with a goal from their player Ali Al-Hanbasi. The match saw referee Yahya Darwish issue red cards to Shabab players Mohammed Al-Tayri and Ameen Yaslam, forcing the team to finish the game with nine players.
